We were referred to Manhattan heating and plumbing after moving to the area
Things started out smooth but when they came
To replace our hot water heater it took a bitter turn, they sent out what I can only assume were apprentices, a simple hot water heater swap turned into a 2 day ordeal (in -38 degree weather).. we watched as neither employee knew which tools to use, kept going outside to call superiors for advice, as the day drug on (started around 9am) and it was getting darker and weather was supposed to be in the sub 0 temperatures again we advised them they should probably come back the next day as no one needed to be our driving (nor did we need our doors to continue to be left open) on that weather
The next day we expected them to promptly arrive, instead had I had to call multiple times, they sent one guy out around 3pm to finish the job.
They cut holes in our exterior wall insulation, didn't set the hot water heater far enough back to close the closet door, didn't install proper ventilation so our heater goes out anytime the wind blows.(which here is a lot)
When I called to talk to someone I was told repeatedly someone would return my call.
No one did so we hired another company to come fix their mistakes.
I called multiple times asking to get the bill, it took them 3 months, when I asked for a breakdown of the charges I was told they ""don't invoice like that"".
When I tried to discuss the amount they charged they sent me to collections (and yes I drug it out longer than I probably should have but it was ridiculous) and refuse to do anymore work, let alone fix the issue.

About one year ago we called for a roto rooter in the kitchen sink. Tyler came out, was friendly and gave us an estimate on future work on the plumbing as he said it would happen again because of the angle of the pipes from the kitchen. We've come full circle and again needed help for the kitchen to function, this time we were prepared financially to have new pipe installed correctly. He showed us the old bad pipes and the accumulation of grease over the years. GROSS! We're glad we took the plunge and we're quite satisfied. The word's getting out, so plan on a couple of weeks or more before they can come to you, but the wait is truly worth it. We like the tried and true old fashioned way to carry out business--people who deliver service with a smile!

These guys live a ways from my house. But they are responsive, upfront and professional.

If the tech isn't sure he gets the head guy on FaceTime with him. So no back and forth, back and forth.

Much better priced than the guy in town living 8n the multi million dollar home, and the service is 10 times better, too!

Company was hired to replace a zone valve. The work was done by the Vice President of the company. The new valve never worked properly and all calls to try to arrange follow up service were IGNORED - again, by the Vice President of the company. Had to hire a new company to come replace the work done by Manhattan Plumbing and heating. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
