Steve M.Scheduled an appointment with Sean Mancini to fix our 2 leaky shower faucets. He arrived on time and replaced the rubber gaskets in both shower faucets. After he put things back together we had only cold to luke warm water (no hot) in one shower and no temperature adjustment at all in the second. I fixed the one shower myself because I understood the problem but Sean had to come out to fix the other faucet with no temperature control. He claimed the faucet with no temperature control was now broken, despite not being used at all since he ""fixed"" it. He charged me for a new cartridge. Before he left, I asked him if he tested it and he confirmed he had. Unfortunately, after he left I tested the shower myself only to discover that Sean put in the new cartridge upside down so now hot was cold and cold was hot. He agreed to come over on a Sunday to fix but was a no show. Two calls into him both went to VM. My text was not answered. He only accepts cash or check. We paid with check so now I'm on the way to the bank to put a stop payment.
Shaun Mancini has came and fixed issues in my home many times and also has been fast efficient and fair Everytime. He understands when I can't afford much and does the best he can for me. After he lost his wife a year ago he still came thru for me and my family when my hot water tank went out and I had no hot water with an infant and 3 other small children he came out within the hour at 9pm. I will recommend him and let people know that there been definite misunderstandings and undeserved low ratings. I can say for me and the people I have referred him to that we are very satisfied and will use him Everytime.
Danielle K.Zero stars if I could. He came to replace my hot water heater ( after waiting 3 months for it ) when he finally came he was alone, couldn't even get the water heater down to the basement alone and couldn't get the old one up the stairs by himself either. I had to help. At one point I asked if there was anything I could do or get for him and he replied "" yeah a new life"" ... he couldn't get the pipes to stop leaking and he rigged together some old copper pipe and ""soldered"" it together. Which ended up leaking and he wrapped the pipe with a styrofoam noodle looking thing that had a slit down it and left my towel on top of it - soaking wet mind you, water all over my basement floor, and water spraying out of the copper pipe continuously. He wiped a bunch of junk all over my towels too ; which he left laying all over my basement. He was 100% un professional and needs a new job. He was super miserable to be around and I was actually really uncomfortable ( a stay at home mom alone with 3 kids ) after he left I called and called and texted - he replied with obscenities calling me a liar saying he'd never leave it leaking bla bla bla - never again. This guy is absolutely ridiculous. My husband ended up fixing it himself $360 later. & He still had the AUDACITY to cash my check.
Shaun the owner of Mancini Plumbing and Drain is a scam artist so unprofessional. We had an issue with our Sump pump in our basement that had caused a flood. This happened on 9/16/2021. I called Perrysburg plumbing and Heating. They were unable to come help us since they were overbooked. I then Shaun Mancini who has his plumbing company advertised on Next door ( a neighborhood application) for people who live in the Toledo area Ohio. Shaun said oh I will be there in less than one hour. He showed up after 50 minutes. I work from home. I took a few minutes to walk him to our basement where there was water everywhere. I asked him if he could fix the issue, he said OF COURSE. I then went back to my office to continue with my work. After maybe 6 minutes, he came close to my office and yelled: ""I will be right back, I am going to Home Depot."" I just said OK since I was on the phone for work. After maybe only 12 minutes max, I just happened to be in my kitchen for a glass of water, I saw Shaun walking toward my front door holding our old check valve ( pipe). I didn't understand. I said nothing and he went back to the basement. After another 10 minutes he came to my office to inform me that he was done. I then went to the basement with him and he showed me how water was draining because he had replaced a new sump pump that he had gotten from Home Depot. He told me that the sump pump cost was $275. I asked him to show me the receipt. He said he didn't have a receipt because he has a contract with Home Depot and he just gets supplies from Home Depot. He demanded to be paid $550. I told him that was too much. He said $500, I wrote him a check for $500. He gave me an invoice that stated that I paid $ 500 but wrote a 1 year guarantee. Something just made me think that there was something weird about this service. Our home insurance company State Farm then put me in contact with SERVPRO to solve the damage caused by the flood. I contacted SERVPRO. They came in the same day to work on flood damage. I just happened to ask Steve, the leader from SERVPRO to check my sump pump that was replaced in the morning by Shaun Mancini. Steve right away asked me why we have chosen such a cheap sump pump. He showed me the kind of sump pump we need and said that the one we have now is the cheapest one ( not even for $70) and will not last long. He also asked me why our check valve wasn't replaced by Shawn. I didn't know what to say. The next day I called Perrysburg plumbing to get a second opinion. I explained to the person I got on the phone. The Perrysburg plumbing person also agreed with me and is sending someone. I then contacted Shaun and asked him to give me something showing a 5 years guarantee and not 1 year. He replied to me that he was sleeping already and will send me something in the morning. The next day late afternoon, he texted me another invoice showing a 5 year guarantee that he wrote with his own hands. Now I have 2 different invoices. I decided to call him because by then I knew that he just ripped me off. I asked him to give the real price of the sump pump. He gave me a different price this time: $167. I was like OMG!!! It was $275 yesterday and today $167, 1 year guarantee on first invoice and then 5 year guarantee!!! Another incident we had with him one week prior to the sump pump incident. We had purchased a 8' x 7,5' shed from Costco that we needed to assemble. This is how Shaun got in contact with us first. We posted on Next door neighbor that we need someone to help us assemble the shed. He replied yes he could do it in only 2 hours for $200 and gave his direct phone number to call and to schedule. 2 days after he came and my husband was outside all the time helping him. After one hour of not following manual instructions, he suddenly told my husband that he gave up and would rather go do another work where he will make quick money and he left. We had to assemble the shed by ourselves.
Stay away from using this guy. We had a job scheduled for a Thursday after 4pm. We never heard from him, so I called and he said that he had been having a bad day and said he would be here at 9 am the following day. 9 am rolls around and he's not here. I give him until 10 am and give him a call and it goes straight to voicemail for my wife, myself, and the home warranty company. Our home warranty company finally get ahold of him and he says that he tried calling. Funny neither of us got a phone call from him. Most people get fired for no call no shows but this guy thinks it's okay. At least have the courtesy to let us know what is going on so that we're not taking off of work and waiting for nothing. We will never use this liar for anything.
Travis D.Mancini is as assigned to me by my home warranty company, First American Home Warranty. I contacted them on a Thursday and we had an appointment set for the following Monday, 4 days later. He would never give me an accurate time just ""I'll be there in the afternoon"". That Monday he did not show up or call to reschedule. I called the flowing day, Tuesday, to no answer. I called again Wednesday morning and finally got ahold of him. Told me he ran late on a job, which I understand, but the fact I never got a call to reschedule was unacceptable. On Wednesday we set a new date for the next day, Thursday, again ""in the afternoon"". I called at 9am Thursday to get a better time as I am employed and taking time off for this, and no answer. Heard nothing all day and called again at 4pm to again no answer. I called my home warranty company to get a new contractor assigned and they said they will call and check in. They called me back and said they got ahold of him and he said he was still coming, this was at 5pm. Again never called and never showed up. Would not ever use this company again not recommend to anyone, extremely unprofessional and my home warranty got a new contractor.
Overall if I could give 0 stars I would.
Donovan N.BEWARE! I used Mancini Plumbing through my warranty company, First American Home Warranty. Shaun Mancini misdiagnosed my leaking issue (twice), broke part of my shower drain while fixing it (even though the jetted tub was the source of the leak), replaced the jetted tub cover incorrectly (I had to redo it myself), never fixed the leaking issue, supposedly told the warranty company he was done with the job (even though I had sent him video and pictures that showed where the issue was, which was the overflow drain exactly where I told him I thought the problem was from the very beginning, but he didn't listen to me), rescheduled my appointment 6 times, and no call/no-showed on me twice. Then Mancini ghosted me and has not responded since March 9 (7 weeks ago). I had been going back and forth with Mancini for 3 months and the problem is still not fixed. I worked with the warranty company to send me to a more honest and reliable plumber! I told them I would never let Mancini Plumbing back in my house ever again! I just found out Mancini's Better Business Bureau Accreditation has been suspended for 3 complaints against the business and they have a C- rating.
This company was dispatched by a home warranty company ""first American home warranty"" after a 79$ service fee was payed up front. After 3 days and no call from mancini plumbing my wife called. My wife set up a appointment for a day were she would have to leave work early to accommodate the plumbers schedule.
The day before the service date I received a phone call but no message was left and they never answer the phone.
Service day comes and no one shows. Several calls were made and messages were left. No return calls from the plumber which ultimately led to me doing my own plumbing after work at 4am. (Drains were now so backed up the house smelled like ) after I was able to get the drains cleared I canceled the plumber after 6 days of no communication. .. if I had waited most likely there would have had damage to my property.Critical:
terrible human being. dont ever call him back when he screws up because he will threaten you
Mr. Mancini was contacted by my 62 year old mother in the spring of 2019 to investigate a leak in the roof that was damaging drywall inside her house. When he arrived he had what he referred to as ""his roofing guy"" to perform repairs. There was some discussion initially about needing to re-line her chimney. Mr. Mancini charged 350.00 for his service and his ""roofing guy"" accepted some of my fathers old tools as payment. After the inspection was performed some caulk was applied to the flashing around the chimney and a chimney cap was installed. She was informed that the chimney was in good shape and she did not need to have it re-lined. My mother then noticed there was a water stain on the wall where she had the drywall repaired after Mr. Mancini's repairs. She then asked me to see if i could help so I contacted Mr. Mancini on her behalf. I explained to Mr. Mancini that there was still some sort of leak and could he look into it and give me the estimate for the repair. Mr. Mancini told me he would contact his ""roofing guy"" and get back to me. I waited about a week and a half and I called him back. At this point, Mr. Mancini told me he could not find his ""roofing guy"" and that he had nothing to do with this repair and he was only given 100.00 by my mother and his ""roofing guy"" got some tools. I then asked Mr. Mancini to provide me with his ""roofing guy's"" details he said he would text them to me within the hour. After waiting for a week for a response I sent Mr. Mancini a text message regarding my disappointment in his in ability to rectify the situation and that I would be leaving a poor review through social media. He then responded with threats of lawsuits for bad reviews and threatened ""kick my ass more than I had ever done before"" Upon hiring a new contractor to asses the damage she was informed of a substantial carbon monoxide leak coming from a plugged chimney. The current contractor had to take down all the drywall put up after Mr. Mancini's ""roofing guy's"" repairs. I have also learned that Mr. Mancini Is not a licensed contractor in the city of Toledo thus making all the work he did unqualified and illegal.
