I set up an appointment for my elderly parent's plumbing problem. The water to the kitchen sink and dishwasher would not run, after doing a flush to the water heater. My father had called and left a few messages on their answering machine; which nobody from Malmedal responded to. I called later within their hours of operations, to set up an appointment. I was successful in getting a human; I explained the problem and set up the appointment. They did NOT ask me what model or made our water heater nor did they really ask me any questions about the situation. When I asked if she has received my father's voice mail, she said she was still going through the messages. They had been open for four hours when I called. Malmedal's earliest appointment was a week out. Not ideal, but okay. The appointment was set for 18 July between 0900-1200. On THE DAY of the appointment, my parents get a call, Malmedal will have to move the appointment another week. This isn't like a shower problem, in the third bathroom isn't working. This is the kitchen. Not only will we never use this company again, but when asked who do we recommend, I will first say, ""stay away from Malmedal"", then give the number to the company who is coming out today to fix the issue.

I hired Malmedal to repipe my house in Vernonia, including the main line to the street. This is a second home to me and I live outside of Seattle, 4 hours away from Vernonia. They scheduled a time for the estimate, but then cancelled on the same day and rescheduled the estimate even though I was already at the house. Then they scheduled the time for the installation, I drove all the way down, then they cancelled the installation for that time due to weather. They scheduled a second time for installation, I again drove down the day before and then they cancelled again because their Plumber had covid. FINALLY on the 3rd week in a row, I drove down and they did the job. The repiping estimate was for about 7000, I thought that was a fair price. It included hooking up the new water lines to the existing fixtures(which were all new). However, at the end of the day, they claimed that they could not install the tub fixture since I was suddenly missing a valve, so they had to return to complete the job. They then returned to put it the ""missing "" valve (which I bought), and connect the water lines. However, they wanted to charge me another 350.00 for a service call. I also noticed after they left that the tub did not drain since it had been broken during the repiping job. They refused to return to fix what they had broken. I gave them the opportunity to fix what they broke, but they refused. So, they may be good at little projects on newer homes, but the experience was so bad that I am going to be selling the house after I get another plumber to fix it. It has been six months without a shower or bath.

Absolutely excellent plumbing company! They plumbed in a sink in our garage and it is perfect! They will be out tomorrow to install a new kitchen faucet. We keep thinking of plumbing projects now haha! They are that good! Good contractors are so hard to find these days. They are excellent!

As a new homeowner, we knew to shop around and read reviews. We are so happy we chose Malmedal to handle our request, to wrap pipes and replace a Drain line and spigot outside. The folks from Malmedal were as professional as could be and the price was great and competitive. We will choose Malmedal for all of our future plumbing needs without question.

Was very disappointed in this company that came recommended from two separate realtors. The plumber arrived stating he did not bring the supplies needed to fix our clogged sink, that the individual who had what he needed had called out that day. He tried to clear the clog with what he had on hand to no avail and fixed a couple other minor things. I paid $200 and I was told I'd need to schedule another appointment... which would be another $150. When I called to schedule another appointment and negotiate due to them not showing up with equipment needed they were very unhelpful and would not work with me on cost. I will not be using them again, do not recommend them and will most definitely be informing both realtors of my experience.

I had a small leak in the joint of a pipe. They came out promptly and took care of it. Very satisfied.

Fast response-called on Wednesday afternoon and they sent a tech out the next morning and fixed my leak coming from upstairs bathroom within an hour, very efficient! Will be using again.

I was very disappointed. I was overpriced for my toilet, I unfortunately found out afterwards. Plus I had wanted two faucets replaced. Person did not seem to know what he was doing. Said faucets could not be fixed. ??? At least did not charge me for the 3 hours he spent determining that. However, the upstairs faucet is now leaking and it was not before. Company took no responsibility when I called to ask them to come out and fixed the leak. Guy who came out said he'd done nothing with the faucet - not true - and my ""old"" pipes must be leaking. They certainly weren't before he spent all that time doing nothing. Very disappointed after previous positive emergency service the year before.

I was having a plumbing emergency with a broken shower valve spraying water. Malmedal Plumbing was able to get a plumber on site in less than an hour. He had all the parts and tools he needed when he arrived and he finished the work in less than an hour. He worked very smart and efficiently. The cost was very reasonable. Ricardo V!
