Price Gouging/COVID19 Profiteering Alert! Thanks Mallard Plumbing for over-charging me on my new water heater. Home guide says a new gas water heater should run $600-$1,800. Mallard picked my pocket for $2,900 last Friday for a standard 40 gallon Bradford White install. We were ""up against it"" as the next Saturday morning we had to attend my 36 year old nephews funeral. I tried to buy local and Mallard Plumbing certainly put it to me.

PRICE GOUGING ALERT !!!!!

I Called to have a dishwasher installed. They would not give me a price
(even a rough estimate). I understand if there is additional things that need to be done afterwards. I just wanted a standard install price. ""Sorry , I don't having the pricing in front of me"" is what I was told. They said they could come the same day so I agreed. The plumber called an hour later. He said let me just look at it first. I said ""you don't have a standard price ?""
He said ""No, let me just get a look at it"".
He calls me an hour later. Now he's at the property.
""So , the standard price for installation is $465 ! Plus replacing a shut off valve

$995 !!!!!!!

I said ""are you crazy""???

To install a Dishwasher!!!???

Beware, this is the type of company you stay away from. Once they are in the door, they go for the KILL.

I guess they figure your gonna pay their service FEE for waking in the door so you'll just say go ahead and do it.

Be Very careful dealing with this company. Or better yet, don't deal with this company. Just thinking if this was My elderly Mom, she wouldn't know any better and give these people almost $1000 for an installation.

I called 2 plumbers after hanging up.
$275 And $310
I have one coming on Monday.

Again, this was a dishwasher.

I had a Master Plumber come Monday (12/20/21) and did the job for $250 total !

DISGRACE, Don't trust them !!!!!!!

Pipe to an outdoor hose bib split. Water pouring into our crawl space. Called Mallard Plumbing. Bob & Shane were there in an hour. An hour later our problem was completely and competently resolved. Have used Mallard for about 3 years. Whatever they do is accomplished competently and cleanly. No plumbing problem is too vexing. It's a pleasure to work with them.

Great! Highly recommend. Called them last night and they were here this morning at my request. They are professional, fair, honest and efficient. Had them out for a sewer line clog, they cleaned it out and scoped the line, and provided the recording for me (digital, not VHS like others).
