We highly recommend Steven at Mainstream Plumbing & Heating. Our first experience with Mainstream Plumbing & Heating was in 2020 during Covid when we lost hot water in our house. Our previous plumber went out of business and luckily Steven was available. He diagnosed the issue and explained that we needed a new water heater. Even though supply was tight, he was able to find a new Rheem water heater and install it quickly. We previously bought a warranty extension kit for our old water heater and even though previous plumber installed it, Steven promised to file claim with manufacturer to reclaim money for us. We were pleasantly surprised that Steven contacted us a few months later to give us the warranty money that he recovered. We are extremely grateful for his honesty and integrity!
Throughout the years he has fixed the toilet flush valves in 2 of our bathrooms, fixed clogged bathroom sink and replaced the drain and replaced a leaking shower fixture. Most recently he troubleshooted the loss of water pressure in our kitchen and discovered that the shut off valves had failed and discharged debris towards the faucet causing a blockage issue.
Steven's work is impeccable and he is always prompt, clean and utilizes the best materials. He explains the problem clearly and provides fair estimates given his expertise and quality of work.
We highly recommend Steven and look forward to continue working with him for all our plumbing needs!

MAINSTREAM PLUMBING & HEATING is the only name in plumbing that you need to remember. Fully licensed and insured - that's a HUGE plus (NOT ALL PLUMBERS ARE LICENSED!) This is a very good company that I have developed a working relationship with over the last decade built on trust and mutual respect. Customer service is second to none: timely responses to emergency situations, excellent quality of work and pride of ownership in his trade by Steve the Master Plumber. Always provides several affordable options for the task at hand, fair market prices, honest, reliable - what else can you ask for in a contractor? If you want it done right (and up to code...) call this guy you will be glad that you did! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Steve, of Mainstream Plumbing & Heating, competently performed a job for me for which he was immediately paid. Unfortunately, I did not review the invoice carefully enough. When I did so later that day I had some questions. The next day I phoned him to ask for an estimate on a new job which he provided. In the course of that conversation, I asked him for more specifics about how he calculated the cost of the first job which was higher than what we had originally discussed. He sounded very annoyed & irritated as I unsuccessfully sought to get an explanation. He stated that if I was so concerned about cost perhaps I should try another plumber. It was as if I didn't have a right to question him & my asking was placing a burden on him. Apparently, transparency is not his strong suit. I took his advice & found another plumber for the new job. I'm glad I did. The new plumber's charge was $100 less than Steve's estimate.

I have to give a huge shout out to Mainstream Plumbing & Heating. Our boiler - which we thought just had the pilot light go out - was totally clogged. We also had a really old thermostat that controlled the heat for our family room and kitchen from like 1950 that finally died. Steve Silvestri came this AM after we called him last night - he fixed everything! And all the while - wearing his own mask (not medial - I promise), gloves, shoe covers etc and keeping distance. While it's not an ideal time to have an outsider in the house, when it is 55 degrees inside - desperate times call for desperate measures. If you happen to have an emergency - I highly recommend!!!

I have been using Mainstream Plumbing for over 15 years. Steve Silvestri is extremely professional and very knowledgable about all things plumbing and heating. He has done work on two kitchen installations, three bathrooms, multiple water heaters and a new heating system. He always gets back to me when I call. He dropped everything when I had a leak in a pipe in my ceiling just a few weeks ago. I would never dream of using anyone else. It's so hard to find good contractors. Steve is a gem!!
