We have used Main Drain several times over the years as those who live in Berkley know, the numerous tree roots and older infrastructure cause issues. Every time, Sean and his team have been very professional. They are quick to respond and have gone above and beyond to fix things - even coming over on short notice after regular work hours.

Sean's team are more than just professional, they are good people. They are easy to talk to and are willing to explain all the details of the problem, potential solutions, and how to prevent it from reoccurring. We have a finished basement where our kids routinely play so they took extra care in how they worked down there.

We would highly recommend them to anyone!!

I wouldn't use this service because Sean trained them! I had some work done and guys were untrained and tracked mud and dirt in my house.

Sean and John are AWESOME. After calling 3-4 places, Sean was the ONLY one who could do the same day cleaning. He and John came, ready to rock, even after 9pm. They were in and out in less than an hour, and everything was taken care of. I had some cleanouts that the previous owner buried so he had to go through one that was in a tight fit corner. They knocked it out clean and efficiently. He gave me some recommendations to go with in the future - I will definitely be using him and recommend to anyone!

I wish my review could be as positive as the others. My sewer was backing up into my basement. Main Drain came out to attempt to clear up the drain. It was getting late by the time they partially cleared the problem. The owner promised they would come back the next day to finish the job. (However I am the idiot who gave them money for a job partially done. Call me over-excited that my family of 5 could shower without flooding our basement.)

I have texted and called back and forth with Sean since May 14 (today is May 28). He keeps promising to come or to send someone to help, and then nothing. My sewer is backing up again, I am out $125, and I still have to pay someone else to come back out to finish the job. So disappointed.

Apparently I am the only person with a bad experience. If you go with this company I hope your experience is better than mine.

UPDATE: Sean contacted me within a few hours of my review. His team came out and cleared up the problem later that day. I can confidently change this review from 1 star to 3 stars, given that the company did eventually respond and get the job done.

I had a pretty tough situation at my house. A plumbing contractor had broken a sewer pipe and storm tile and left me hanging with raw sewage running into my basement. Sean and his crew were able to identify the problem and fix it for me in difficult even, at times, unsafe conditions. He was honest, stuck to his price and did what he said he would do. He is my go-to plumber for any future problems.

I was VERY please with the quick response time Sean gave me, since I had never used his company before. I called him at 1:45 and he showed up by 3:00. It didn't take him long to open my main drain which had just gotten clogged only a few hours earlier. I would definately recommend him.

I spoke with 5 other guys and no one could come out and the cost was way overpriced. Main Drain said no problem, came out at 5:30, about an hour after my call and was done in 30 minutes. Great service at a great price. I'm lucky I found them.

I am saddened by the way I feel I was treated. Please; never pay the entire bill until you know positively that the issue was resolved, no matter what you're told. And if you get yelled at too, please don't let anyone steal your peace.

I would never recommend this company! They were not professional at all. When they were done with their work they left a trailer, a machine (which left a rust stain in our driveway), a pile of gravel, and a giant rock after the work was complete for another 2-3 weeks past when the work was done. It took multiple phone calls a day to get this taken care of. Not to mention there were many days that we had to make multiple phones calls to make sure they came to the house to start their work for the day. They were constantly late and every time we asked for an ETA they said they were almost there and it took them 1-2 hours on average to make it to our house.

They were rude to my husband when he was trying to get answers about what was happening with the work. At one point the owner told him to stop bothering him. They didn't seem to know city rules or regulations. There were several nights where they worked past the city regulation for working. This included jack hammering, sawing, raking, and pounding posts. They left the yard a complete mess and there are still rocks and gravel from where they supposedly cleaned up.
