Something has changed at Maglish. I used them for many years with reasonable outcomes. Lately, they are not on time. Recently called them to replace supply lines under a bathroom sink. Plus some other items since they were coming out. The quote to replace supply lines under 3 sinks was over $1000!!! The other items came to $5000!!! What??? Ridiculous. A family member was able to fix it for $20 in parts and a half hour of time. Be careful, they want to sell you a monthly service plan as well. I will not be using them again.

Maglish is owned by ABC now. I think all technicians get a commission. I had a hot water heater that just needed the thermostat reset. Benny told me it was a bad thermostat and that he could replace it for $1200 or since the hot water heater was 6 years old and out of warranty he could replace the whole thing for $3000. I agreed to replace the whole thing based on what he said and he would be here the next day with a new one. He didn't even try to reset the thermostat. after he left I looked online how to reset the thermostat and it only took 30 second. The problem was I had the temperature up to high and it tripped out. I was able to cancel the agreement due to deceptive practices but was still charged a service call which was actually a sales call.

Sad that this business is no longer a local business. I have been using them for over 9 years and always thought they were reasonable, honest, and fair. That has now changed.

Scheduled them in November to replace two exhaust fans, to fix some track lighting, and look at a bedroom outlet. Paid $200 to be told what parts to order to replace the exhaust fans and transformer for the track lighting. Was told that the cost of installation would be similar to the charge for diagnosis. Did not think to get a quote in writing, as I have been using them for years.

Finally got the parts and scheduled the installation for today. They did not send an electrician today, but rather a salesman from ABC Heating and Electric.

I was quoted $3200.00 for them to install the two exhaust fans, transformer, and a GFI outlet.

I called to see if this was seriously the quote for the labor to install items that I was told to purchase. After a couple telephone calls, they now can do the work for $2800.

Sadly, I will be taking my business elsewhere and will no longer be recommending them to my friends and neighbors.

We had an emergency repair job on our furnace. Alex was our technician. He explained everything that he did and why he was doing it as he worked. He had a great deal of knowledge about our 15 year old furnace and its good and bad features. He worked quickly and had our heat back on in less than 45 minutes. The price was reasonable and we are completely satisfied. Thank you.

I scheduled an appointment to get an estimate for a mini split installation. The person came and said he would call later with the estimated cost. I never heard back. That was over a month ago. Unprofessional for lack of follow up.

Follow up- Paul called probably after reading this review and stated he thought he called me 2 days later to say they were not interested in doing the install. Funny how you provide this service but yet declined to do the work. I mean. I live in a nice neighborhood and had the money. Never met a service provider say they are not interested in providing the service they advertise... Use someone else.

Excellent customer service, easy to schedule tech to come and clean my air conditioner. He did more that I expected by completing a thorough inspection and noting all he checked on my invoice. The price was very reasonable and I will definitely use them for all future heating and cooling need.

Did a whole house remodel while living at home. They were great in accommodating piece meal work schedule and completing their work in a timely fashion. Their work was good and some of the plumbing was quite complicated. Their electrical work was done well and if there was a problem they fit me in the schedule and fixed what was not right. Good people to work with and knowledgeable about their products. Highly recommended.

I purchased a $2,000 water heater from them 5 years ago and it is a real lemon. I recently had to get the flame assembly replaced and they came 2 times with a defective one and the third one was ok. They charged me almost $400 for labor. clearly a rip off and the tech gave me stupid excuses for the ridiculous charge! I used to be pleased with their service but never again. I wrote the owners a complaint letter and never received the courtesy of a response. Now they have lost me as a customer and hopefully more.

This place charges a $75 trip charge to come out whether or not they are able to do the work. I was never told this when I set up the appointment. The plumber told me that it is the customer's responsibility to somehow know their policies even if they don't inform the customer up front. Go figure. This is a very unreputable, unethical business who is not honest with their customers. They deliberately lie and cheat. Do not do business with them. STAY AWAY!!!!!
