We moved to Janesville in May 2020. We knew there were lots of things we wanted to upgrade in our new home including some plumbing related. Matt Magee was recommended to us, and we trusted the opinion of the person who recommended Matt. I read a couple reviews here and sometimes over-the-top negative reviews have the opposite effect intended--at least for me---cause me to doubt the validity. That was the case here. Took the chance and called Matt to schedule two toilet replacements, repair some leaky faucets and replace an outside faucet. He was able to help us quickly and was very reasonable. The was the first time. I texted him at 9:30 pm about a kitchen leak, and he was able to come and fix it the very next day. I ask LOTS of questions as we have future projects planned, and there will be plumbing necessary. He is never impatient with my questions, answers them thoroughly, and offers suggestions we might not have thought of. My husband and I also decided to have Matt replace our water heater this week. He was able to get the new heater and replace it the very next day. He pointed out a vent hose was never installed on our water softener, and he installed that at the same time--all in just under an hour and a half. My husband is very knowledgeable about plumbing, etc. And if we were younger, he'd be doing it all himself. So, he tends to be very critical if things aren't done as he thinks they should have been. He has been extremely happy with everything Matt has done for us. Matt is now out family's go-to plumber, and will be doing the plumbing when the granite, stainless sink, Delta touch faucet and new disposer are installed in a few months. We trust Matt, we trust and appreciate his quality work, and find his prices to be fair! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND MATT MAGEE!!

Very impressed with Matt.....looked in the phone book for a plumber and chose this one....had the end of a cleaning tool for the toilet come off in the toilet and could not retrieve it and knew not to flush the toilet...called Magee plumbing and explained my problem....he explained to me how to retrieve the piece which I was able to do....saved me $100.00 service call to do the very same thing I did...kudos to him for not taking advantage of me to just make money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Matt is by far the best plumber I have dealt with. Always available when you need him will come in a split second if it is an emergency. Helped with our flooded basement nightmare and fixed multiple burst pipes in out home. Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a plumber. Hands-down the best plumber I've dealt with. He answered all my questions thoroughly, gave the why as well as the what, and delivered the bad news of eventual (but imminent) water heater failure without sugar-coating it and without trying to sell me on ""getting it fixed now"" when it had another year or two of use left.
Also, he was very helpful in selecting products for installation, going into detail about why certain lines were better than others based on aspects of their construction.
