Sorry to hear that the other two reviewers didn't enjoy their experiences with Mady-Sons. It's unfortunate, as I have nothing but positive things to say about these guys.

I've got an older home and anticipate having to establish a good relationship with an electrician (check), an HVAC guy (check), and a plumber. I hadn't found one, yet, that I felt was a good fit. I recently had a toilet issue that literally took 5 seconds of plunging to fix and still got charged $300+ by a local big name plumbing company for the 'work'.

Suffice it to say, when I discovered standing water in my basement shortly thereafter, I knew I needed to find a plumber that I trusted.

My old neighbor was a contractor, so I asked him if he had a plumber to recommend and he turned me onto Julio, who owns Mady-Sons. From the very first visit, Julio and his wife were great. Responsive, attentive, and offered suggestions on possible fixes that might save me some $.

Unfortunately, nothing worked and he had to do some snaking and discovered that I had a collapsed sewer pipe in my yard, which, as homeowners know, is right up there with HVAC and roof repairs as the worst-case scenarios.

Luckily, Julio quoted me a great price on the work, including the excavation, pipe replacement, inspection, filling, and reseeding of my lawn. And, without going into specifics, it was thousand$ less than what others would've charged.

The work itself went quickly and with minimal disruption. Julio's business partner, Milton, ran the job and was on-site every day with his crew. He repeatedly gave me updates and assurances and walked me through what they were doing and why, which helped provide context and allay any residual fears I may've had regarding the enormity of the project.

And, it wasn't just about turning the job over as quickly as possible. Once the pipe had been replaced and the dirt filled back in, Milton and his crew took equal care in restoring my lawn - reseeding, evening out a low spot in my yard, and walking me through care and maintenance till the grass grew back.

We talked a lot about the work and, throughout, he emphasized how important it was to him - as a former military guy and someone who takes pride in his work and doing a good job - and to Julio that the clients were happy.

They're a small business and are able to provide the kind of attention and care that really makes a difference.

Again, I hope folks have taken the time to read this review and to hear about my experience with Mady-Sons and Julio and Milton.

Their plumber didn't even remove my shower trim plate to look inside, diagnosed that I needed a new valve purely on what I was describing as my problem; knocked a hole in my wall, charged me $75 access fee, then walked off the job and I find out from the next plumber that I only need a cartridge changed, can be done easily by removing the trim plate, I now have an unnecessary hole in my wall that I will have to pay to fix, and am out $75.

I had a water tank which broke and I had to turn off my water. I had no water the entire weekend and ended up staying in a hotel.

I called Mady-Sons plumbing because I have used them in the past with success. However, this time I called their emergency line 5 times and no one ever called me back. I also called first thing Monday morning and still no response. Horrible customer service. Not a dependable company. Go elsewhere. If you can't even bother to return a call you don't deserve any business.
