They are wonderful. We have a service contract with Maddox. They charge us a small annual fee to check the system and change filters (and so on). Every time they come, they are extremely helpful and never rushed. They take the time to answer all of my questions. Yesterday was our service contract visit. I told the technician "it doesn't seem as cool in this room." Back in the attic he went. He searched the duct and found a blockage. Within 15 minutes, the room was back to being cool. What impressed me was that the technician was happy to help and eager to fix the problem. Best thing--this extra time was considered part of my contract and did not cost me a thing. Thank you Maddox for making me feel like part of your family.

Isaac Matta called before he arrived at my home stating what time he would arrive. The appointment was for 10:00AM and he arrived at 9:50AM. He was very professional in appearance and demeanor. Issac found a leaking gas line perforated by several small holes and informed me of the problem before proceeding with replacement of the line. The call was originally a semi-annual furnace inspection. Very satisfying experience.

Beware! - Exhorbitant markups on parts and materials....

My wife called Maddox out to do some minor plumbing repair as they were recommended by a relative. The service tech was nice and professional. The problem arose when I began questioning the amount charged for parts.

Having previously worked in the plumbing parts industry I was expecting to pay slightly above retail price for the parts that came off of the truck. After all that is standard for the industry. I do not mind paying a little extra for convenience and certainly do not mind paying for skilled service work.

However, I was disgusted to discover that I was being charged 250 - 300% above retail price for the parts that were provided. Three parts with a retail value of around $100 and I was charged over $250! After looking closely at the invoice my first thoughts were that someone had made a mistake. Management explained to me that they had to mark up the parts this much because of the possibility that they might have to come back to warranty them. Additionally, these were not specialty parts. They can all 3 easily be found at any of the Big Box retailers. Needless to say, we got taken! Do yourself a favor and consider a different company for your plumbing needs! There are many others locally that I have used without issue.

bad experience. over billed on hours - we have CCTV in our business that accurately shows times of arrival and time left. was originally billed for 2.5 hrs when only 1.37 minutes here. was charged originally $574 then reduced to $455 for simply adding freon to AC unit. the same service performed on 8/3/15 by a competitor was charged $119.00. they also bill from the time they leave the prior appt. to the time they arrive at your door. so if there is a 45 minute drive time to your business..... YOU are paying for this extra 45 minutes that he is doing NOTHING for you or your AC unit. also, got a quote for replacing the indoor air handler. their quote was $6210 vs. competitors quotes of $2225 and $2469. when you question them about their extreme prices you are told something about the number of trucks they have, how they pay their employees more, etc. none of which you would care about or could even verify if its true. i mistakenly used them once. NEVER AGAIN. there is BIG difference in AC repair companies in Tyler, Tx. Beware!!
