I had a leaky toilet, I looked at reviews for plumbing repair in Elk Grove. I noticed that Max plumbing, Heating and Air had some nice positive reviews for work done. I called and spoke to Tonie, who is very nice. Isaac arrived and had a good understanding of what work I needed to have done, very very very impressed by his knowledge, and ability to explain the work he was doing. No more looking for a competent plumber, Isaac is my new plumber for any issues that may come up in the future. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Isaac and Mac's plumbing. I can not say enough about Steve and the crew. The professionalism is beyond anything I've seen in a company of their nature. I have had them do multiple services on my house within the last year and every time they come it's been nothing less than amazing. My house was built in the 50's so they had their work cut out for them.

They make sure when entering and leaving the house they are wearing job specific gear as to not track dirt or junk around. They explain every step of the process from start to finish. Nate has been my service tech for multiple things and he always is kind, courteous, and goes above and beyond to make sure i know what i'm doing.

Even when i have questions or concerns they address them immediately, over the phone and even in person. They even brought two intense coolers to make sure the house stayed comfortable during the Heater/AC replacement.

They are located in Elk Grove and I'm in Carmichael and the turn around time is phenomenal.

This would have been a five star review if it were made after purchasing. My install ran Thursday-Friday. On Friday they left at 4 saying they couldn't get it to work but had to leave. 100 degree weekend with elderly and kids in the home.
I call in, Toni was immensely helpful, and they brought out and installed three portable air conditioners for us to use until the system was up. Despite the snafu, this would have been a 5 star review for that as well.
Since then I have called in several times expressing concern about the system. I was repeatedly told the issue was that it was over 100 degrees outside, so it's reasonable that it won't cool to it's setting. It's reasonable that it will be 77 degrees inside.
Now the system responds with safety errors. They tell me to flip the breaker. They FINALLY agree to send someone out to check it, but did not ask if a time was okay, just dispatched when I was at work and would need to be getting my kids. Not an option. Great she says, we'll let us know if it's still an issue.
A day later the error message is on again.
Finally someone comes out. Cleans the 4 month old machine. Tells me we need to just keep it clean. Then proceeds to do his job and realizes the system is in fact broken and he'll need to speak with daikon, someone will call me. This was at 12 pm.
At 5 I call the office. Aubrey reviews his notes, confirms it's broke. But everyone is gone. The tech and everyone, including daikon, are out for the weekend. There's no explanation of why daikon was not contacted today when they were actually open. There is no portable ac. But there was the audacity to say ""we're getting close to figuring it out"" as if they have been trying to at all. All heat wave summer long I was told it's fine and treated like a nuisance. Now it's ""out of everyone's hands""

Hope they all have a lovely weekend. I look forward to hearing what they can't and won't do next week.

Our air conditioner went out in the middle of the heat wave Sunday night. Monday morning we called Mac's Plumbing since we had used them before and their work was excellent. Steve was able to come out before noon the same day. After discussing our options, we decided to have a new unit installed; the one that broke was 50+ years old. Arrangements were made for Ed and Nate to come out on Wednesday to install the new unit. They were on time, explained what they would be doing and went straight to work. Before they left for the day, they cleaned the work area up and left it spotless. They returned the next day and finished the job. Before leaving they made sure the a/c was working properly and even took the time to make sure we knew how to work the thermostat without having to read the manual.
A BIG THANK YOU to Ed and Nate for the excellent job you did.

I rarely post reviews but for Mac's Plumbing I needed to make an exception. We initially received quotes from four highly rated companies, but it was Steve from Mac's Plumbing who was the most knowledgeable and provided the most competitive bid. The team assigned to the installation and design of our new HVAC system, Garrett and Eli, who we nicknamed the A-Team, were outstanding. They arrived on time and completely cleaned up at the end of each day. Most importantly, the superior quality of their work and their redesign of our duct work has completely changed our living environment. We've lived in our house since the early 90's and there are rooms, including our living room and a bedroom, that we stayed out of during the summer. It's 108 degrees outside right now, and every area of our home is the same pleasant temperature. It's unbelievable! 30 years we've lived here, and this is the first summer I've been able to sit down and read a book in the living room! Bottom line... Superior Workmanship, Superior Service, Superior Company.

I needed a plumber to repair my sad attempt at installing a garbage disposal. After calling others who were backlogged for two weeks, I called Mac's. The receptionist was kind and expressed an understanding of my embarrassing predicament. She scheduled a repair for 8:00 a.m. the following morning.

Isaac arrived, was clean and efficient, and fixed my dripping garbage disposal without breaking a sweat. He was professional and knowledgeable.

When a plumbing, air conditioning, or heating challenge raises its ugly head, I will call Mac's first for an affordable and quality repair!

We recently hired Mac's Plumbing to fix several broken water pipes in our mountains house. Their office staff is friendly and knowledgeable and provides excellent customer service throughout the process.
The plumbers were timely, professional and very knowledgeable. Throughout the project they kept us informed and didn't quit until we were leak free. I can't say enough about how happy we are that we found a plumbing company that we can trust and rely on for future plumbing needs.

Our gas water heater started leaking and we wanted to upgrade to a more energy-efficient heat pump. Every single thing was top notch about Mac's. The after hours line was kind and passed on my message. The very next day Tony called me and thoughtfully worked with me to find the soonest appointment for an estimate. Then the owner of the company Steve came out and was so efficient. He immediately said what we had wanted to do was a ""no brainer"" and set us up. We had 2 other companies out, but needed to keep looking. One had a bunch of salespeople that wasted so much time using scare tactics, etc. The other was doubtful we could move the water to the garage at all and was way more expensive. We researched, and all of Mac's reviews were true. They were trustworthy from the get-go, and so kind and professional. Shannon called us to try to schedule us in sooner due to the emergency and it was so nice she kept us in mind. Then our team was Ed and Nate. What a great pair. Ed is an utmost professional and is so personable with how he guided us and made sure exactly what we wanted to have done and then educated us afterwards on how to use our system. Ed even taught me about our trees and used a ladder to get ripe fruit down for us. Nate dealt with gross stuff without complaint (dead squirrel in attic) and educated us on our pipes and gave us great feedback on what has likely happened with our a/c system (unrelated to this job) and what we want to look out for. They both also were very willing to answer an unrelated question I had about our shower and gave me great and thoughtful advice about this. On top of it, Ed and Nate were as kind, cool, and professional as could be. They were even understanding when THEY were on time to start the day but WE weren't. No other company came precisely when they said they'd come like Mac's. From start to finish, Mac's was a joy to work with. Thank you all!

Excellent work and Amazing service!! Had a new HVAC system put in last week and couldn't be happier. Our old system was working fine, but we wanted to be proactive and get it replaced before it breaks. Did lots of research and can truly say that we picked the right company to do the job .

Quote/ Contract - Steve was always available to answer any of our questions.

Installation - Nate and Ed were very professional, meticulous, courteous, knowledgeable and informative. Gave us the rundown on what to expect each day, kept everything clean and delivered a flawless system as promised.

Inspection 1 - we needed this done asap so Shannon coordinated with the sub contractor and got us scheduled right away.

We've done lots of house projects and this was one of the smoothest process ever.
