Used them through American Home Shield warranty service. Came out on a Monday and said they needed to get a part to fix water heater. I called on Tuesday and they couldn't find the part and said that they had 3 days to fix! We had been without hot water since Friday and they had no sense of urgency in fixing the water heater. I called Christianson Plumbing and they had the part on their truck. Then Maclin had to nerve to charge me a service fee for coming out and doing nothing! Their plumber had told they don't charge until work is done!

I had contacted American Home Shield concerning a leaking toilet that turned into a rusted out flange. I was contacted by Maclin for come out to me home. I looked up reviews on yelp before the company came to my home since I have my own plumber, but since the house was under warranty I thought I would try using American Home Shield. I join the ranks of all the 1 stars and have to say this was such a waste of time and money. I might as well have mailed a check to American Home Shield for doing absolutely nothing at least it would have spared my family the time trying to meet up with these people for two days. After seeing the toilet was removed they stated there was nothing for them to look at and that the rusted flange was paint. Unless something is completely broken and doesn't function it wasn't worth their time and money to repair. Because we had already removed the toilet they didn't see a problem with a rusted/leaking flange in my floor. They came and left doing absolutely nothing. They didn't charge me the $75 service fee because we were furious. Then American Home Shield contacted me stating I had to pay the $75 service fee and MacLin did not have the authority to waive the fee. If I didn't pay the $75 I could loose my warranty or face collection. I would not recommend this company even if I wasn't using the home warranty.

I used this plumbing company because my Home warranty hooked me up with them. They contacted me quickly and were able to come out the same day. Jerry was very professional and friendly. He came out and replaced my water heater. I am very pleased with the whole experience and everything seems to be working as it should be. I would definitely recommend them!

Unlike others here that needed plumbing work through their home warranty (AHS for me), I thought their service was outstanding. They called me, set up an appointment, showed up on time, and got the job done. What more could you ask for? Unfortunately for me, I needed many things done that weren't covered by my home warranty, so I ended up paying more money - but you can't fault this company for that. In fact, the service technician told me that before he started working on the job. I would definitely use them again.

For anyone who might be interested. Things finally got settled with Maclin. Even though their BBB story was B.S. and all they are good at is not doing the job correctly , being rude and lying my credit car company today made my charge back against them permanent because they did not do the job correct and I had to get someone else out there to fix their shoddy work.

Jerry and Maclin are nothing but a bunch of liars. They did not prove to American Home Shield that it was not their fault. AHS offered me a refund but I refused when they said that they would not get it back from Maclin. And the credit card company charged back Maclin when I disputed the charge, told them what happened and actually provided proof that Maclin was at fault. I have added a picture to the Maclin profile of the letter I got from my credit card company to prove that Maclin was charged back and I got my money from them. And finally I am still working with the BBB about what Maclin did. Maclin has ZERO credibility and it is easily proven when three out of four of the most recent reviews posted about them were negative and one star. That is a whopping 75% dissatisfaction rate with Maclin. Which proves what a horrible company they are!!!
Jerry now responded two more times to this post. Isn't it amazing how they have so many one star reviews and they respond to all of them claiming that the problem in never with them it is always with the customer. And it is even funnier now that I produced proof that what he said was not true and now he is not even mentioning it? Jerry just tried to obfuscate the facts. But this is what Maclin does with every bad review they get, they are never wrong.
To me, without a doubt, Maclin is the worst company I have every dealt with in any industry. Congratulation on that Jerry!
And by the way I got my money back from you so no matter what you say, you lose!!!

Jerry you keep responding all you want, I am done. I have proven that you lied and all the negative reviews that you get prove what a horrible company you are.
And you might as well do what you said and just start leaving a boiler plate reply to all the negative reviews that you get as your constant excuses for your bad service and all the misinformation you post only makes you look even worse .
I am done here, I have proven my point and I am sure that with my review, combined with all the other one stars you have cost you a lot of business. It will all catch up with you at some point Jerry and I can only say that I wish I could be there to see it!

This company was foisted on me by American Home Shield to fix a leak at my home.

MacLin Plumbing did not diagnose the problem. They did not fix the problem. They did not return as promised. The did not call back as promised. They did not return my numerous phone calls. They did not communicate with AHS.

They only thing MacLin DID do was extract $75 from me for their "service".

When MacLin finally called me (several days later after I had the problem fixed by a reputable company) the rep hung up on me mid complaint.

Terrible company. The only thing they are good at is giving customers the runaround.

They no showed on us for the second time today. First time was because my husband missed the 30 minute window call. He tried to call back numerous times and it went straight to voicemail. When I called to inquire I found out they are closed on Saturdays even though they have technicians in the field. Waited until Monday and they assumed because he didn't answer we were no longer available and didn't seem to be bothered that when my husband tried calling back it went straight to voicemail and still no one called him back. Rescheduled for first call this morning and was told that if we missed the call they'd show. My husband answered the phone this time and was told that he was coming from Jarrell but would be there in 30-40 minutes. It's been 2.5 hours since that call and no plumber. Can't even comment on service because they never showed up at our house. EDIT: It's Wednesday and still no one has called regarding the second no-show on Saturday.

I give two stars simply because the guy who called me was extremely professional. But the plumber came to fix a toilet and a shower leak. Toilet took three visits and lost time at work for me. The shower is still leaking but the toilet finally got replaced. On top of that , they didn't clean up after themselves . Shower was horrible when I got home and everything they moved wasn't put back in place when they left.

I have to say this is the most unprofessional plumbing company I have ever dealt with. These guys are contract via American Home Shield. Our water heater began leaking. The plumber came out and looked at it and said it needs to be replaced. He told my husband, your warranty company will contact you. There was some miscommunication about the payment owed on the service to get the replacement that my mother-in-law was trying to resolve. When she contacted the plumber to try to get it rescheduled the gentleman that answers the phone was extremely rude to her. She tried to explain to no avail what was happening. He continued to belittle her. Once everything got straightened out they finally agreed to come back out two days later (yes my water heater is still leaking). He stated it would be between 8-12. That morning I they called me and said the plumber was on his way. I therefore contacted my husband (he works nights) that he was on his way. He got up when we hung up and went and opened the garage door and waited in the living room eating breakfast. An hour later he calls me saying the still no plumber. So I contacted them and once I stated who I was he rudely stated that they had been there and left. I told him that my husband had been waiting since he called me that they were on the way. He proceeded to rudely explain that he showed up, banged on the door and rang the door bell for 15 min. I told him that never happened because my husband had been waiting on him. He said the plumber left a card (which he did). That may have been but he did not knock (or bang as he stated), even if my husband hadnt been up my dog (basset hound) wouldve barked and whined hearing the noise. From that point he stated they were no longer going to service us since it was their 4th attempt (no it wasnt). He proceeded to yell about how we refused to pay them the other day and other issues that did not happen. Not once did he allow me to speak. Once I had a chance I told him ok that I would take up the issue with the warranty company about their refusal to service the water heater and that I would file a complaint with the BBB as well. He immediately began to retaliate in which I just hung up the phone.
My advise is if you have American Home Shield tell them not to schedule with Maclin Plumbing. All these other issues I see posted on here I wish I would've read this sooner. Good Luck!

Great service! I went through my home warranty and the first plumbing company recommended was horrible and never showed up. I called my home warranty and requested another service provider. MacLin was suggested. They called right away and was able to get a technician, Jerry, out to my house the next day. Jerry was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient with the job. Thank you again!
