Poor customer service!

James came out to our house for a scheduled service. I received a call at 10:15AM that he was on his way and we should expect him in about 30 minutes. James arrived at 11:59AM. To his credit, he apologized for being late due to heavy traffic on I35.

I explained to him the plumbing issues we were having to which he responded somewhat frustrated and said "there must have been a miscommunication with the dispatcher."

He quickly made his recommendation for a certain plumbing test. I began to ask questions to educate myself about the plan of action that he was recommending. I verbalized some of my questions and concerns that about what he was recommending. James had no patience or tolerance for my needs to understand the service that I was going to purchase. Within less than two minutes into our conversation, he responded "it sounds like you know more than me, so tell me what you want me to do and I will do it!" At this point, I told him to forget it and I was not going to need his services.

I called the dispatcher and informed him how James had acted and what he had said. Although the dispatcher was nice, his immediate response was to explain the rationale behind the plumbing test that James was recommending...

I do not support the immature and unprofessional behavior of the plumber who came to our house today. For this reason, I strongly recommend against using this company for your plumbing needs.

My home warranty company assigned MacLin plumbing to come out to search for a plumbing leak, either external or in the slab. I was concerned due to some reviews I had read and I also had already had two plumbing companies out who could not help. I have to say that Matt of MacLin Plumbing was prompt, polite, and, best of all, knowledgeable about how to determine if there was a leak and where it was located. I would certainly use him again.

Great first time experience with Jerry at Maclin Plumbing. Service call placed via AHS late on Sunday and Maclin were able to come out on the Monday to take care of leak. They called ahead of arrival and arrived within the scheduled window. Nice to see a service company turn up on time and provide above and beyond service.

We were referred to MacLin Plumbing by another plumber. We were hesitant after reading some of the reviews here, but our experience with MacLin Plumbing was great.

We had a toilet acting up even after repeated snaking (by myself). We called MacLin and were able to schedule a visit for the following day. Jerry arrived on time and diagnosed the problem almost immediately. We opted to have the toilet replaced, which Jerry and and an assistant were able to do a few days later. They were in and out in a matter of minutes, and we were invoiced for the same price that we were quoted before booking the job. We have a brand new toilet that looks great, and is more efficient than the old one (and arguably better than anything offered by the big box stores).

I would not recommend them to anyone. The plumber came to my house and decided he just couldn't do the work. But I still got charged $75 dollars. I called a different plumber and he came right out and fixed the problem.

Came back from vacation to a hot water leak in our foundation. I had no idea how difficult it would be to find a plumber with the expertise to take this on. Upon a recommendation by Blue Dragon, we called Maclin. Within a day, the repair was complete. The pumbers were timely and professional. It was not a cheap fix but I sincerely believe that it is a quality fix and I highly recommend Maclin. I hope I don't need their services again but I would certainly call them if the need arises.

We found a mystery leak in our bedroom floor. After reading the reviews on Angie's List, I contacted MacLin Plumbing. Jerry came out the same day we called him and was very reassuring and helpful. He diagnosed the issue, temporarily stopped the flow, and fixed the problem two days later by capping off the hot water line and rerouting it through the attic. He and his helper could not have been easier or more pleasant to work with. Jerry's depth of experience and sense gave me confidence in his work.( This stands in contrast to some other experiences I have had with plumbers.) All the clean-up was done well. Jerry graciously accepted my Angie's List coupon. He even reseated a toilet that needed a new wax ring without charging for it. As my insurance company had no problem covering the bill, I conclude that MacLin's charge was reasonable for the work done.
Finally, I have a trustworthy plumber, should I need one again, and a plumber that I can recommend.

Shockingly bad customer service. This company has been out multiple times to fix the same problem with our water heater.During the course of our relationship they have managed to create drama between my husband and our landlord.At one point they told our landlord they suspected my husband was tampering with the water heater to create the problem. The problem has returned and we attempted multiple times to reach them to inquire if the service was under warranty.When I finally reached a rep he said he would check on that and return my call.He did not return the call.When I called back to check on the warranty the man on the phone asked when the unit was serviced.I replied"about six months ago."He then said that I should just get a new unit.Remarkably astute assessment skills from behind a desk. I felt compelled to write this review as their service is offensive at best.Try Frank at Acker Plumbing in Leander.He was amazing! I'm only selecting one star for Maclin as zero stars was not am option.
