Had a plumbing emergency. Water backing up in basement. Called them. They said someone would call us back in 45 minutes. Well, that was hours ago. No call.
Had to call another place and the problem is now solved.
This place is not reliable.

The toilet in my master bathroom leaked through the drywall into the ceiling. I called m&y plumbing and he insisted that it wasn't he toilet and instead was the tub because it had a slow drain and an old gasket. He charged me 395 dollars to
Unclog the drain and fix the gasket, which i was okay with if it fixed the issue. In the process be broke a pipe and the tub leaked through my ceiling in a completely different place than the first leak. Now not only do I still need to pay to have the master bathroom fixed, I need to have the only full tub in the house fixed along with another section of drywall in a completely different spot.

I asked for a refund because I did not feel comfortable having a contractor that already did damage to my house back in to do more damage and he refused to refund me.

I am happy with the work of M & Y Plumbing. I had a couple valves that were causing a water hammer effect and wanted it taken care of before it got worse. Mario came out and did the work. He was quick and friendly. Their price was pretty reasonable compared to a couple other plumbers that gave me estimates. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

I found this business online, and the website looked legitimate so I called. Someone named Mario told me he couldn't give me an estimate over the phone (like I asked) and would have to come see the job before telling me the cost - I was totally fine with that.

He came to my house to give me an estimate for the toilet replacement job. When he came, he gave me an estimate for the total job (toilet and labor). When I asked for a breakdown, he didn't give it - simply saying the toilet will cost about $300. When I asked him to give me details on the toilet he would bring, he didn't give specifics, simply saying it would be similar to the existing toilet - same as the brand I have.

Up until this part, I was on board, I just had to confirm with my dad (who is paying) if we could move forward because I wanted the job done ASAP. Here is where it went downhill. When I asked him to give me 30 minutes to reach my dad, he got upset and said ""who should I collect my $60 fee for coming in to give you an estimate?""

At NO point during our phone conversation did he say that there was a charge for an in-house estimate. There is NO place on his website that says he charges for an in-house visit. When I told him this, he dodged the question and offered a cheaper toilet. At this point, I was so shocked that he would play this ""in-house visit fee"" game that I decided I wouldn't give him my business. I was ready to pay him full price, but that fee argument left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Afterward, I took a closer look at the website, and it turns out, it's a one man ""company"" advertised as if it has multiple people on staff. This type of unprofessionalism is what leads customers to take their business to big companies and step over smaller businesses. I chose this business because the website says they are located in my own town, thinking I should give my business to local companies.

I would rather pay more to have Home Depot come install a toilet than feel like I am being conned and treated like crap by a small business. People like him give a bad name to small business owners - which is so upsetting because I have had work done from one-man companies who work so hard to give superior customer service and are well-mannered, professional individuals.

I'm VERY pleased with the work of M & Y plumbing. It's so hard to find plumbers you can trust but Mario went well above and beyond the call of duty to fix some plumbing issues we were having.

Not only was he able to quickly diagnose our problem and fix it in almost no time flat, but he also walked me through what he thought the issue was and why.

For example, 'if this pipe is full of water when I cut into it, it means the clog is coming from here.' And sure enough...that's exactly what happened. He gave me full confidence and peace of mind in knowing that our issue would be resolved.

What took the cake was when Mario offered to drop me off at Advanced Auto on the way I get parts to fix the pipes because my battery had died in the driveway. Talk about a life saver! Now that's what you call customer service at it's finest!

Professional and courteous service! Mario replaced the leaky bathroom faucet and provided a month's warrantee. Of course, the new one has been working perfectly for the past few months. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Service was prompt, honest and professional....I was referred to Mario because I had a pipe issue and needed response ASAP...I called him and within a couple of hours he was there... I do not know much (nothing) about plumbing, so he took the time to explain and advise me to avoid future issues.

The problem is fixed, I hope not to see him again : )

His rate was honest and I would recommend him to any of my friends.

Absolutely would not recommend. M&Y installed a new hot water heater for me back in February. Great! However, in doing so, they left a pipe that previously led into the drain pan unconnected and dripping onto the floor at the back of the utility closet. Because this pipe has a slow drip, it eventually leaked enough water with nowhere to go that it seeped under my hardwood floors. The problem only became apparent when the hardwoods started buckling. To repair the damage I've had to replace a significant section of hardwood floor as well as drywall that had gotten moldy due to the leak.

However, he was not willing to take any ownership of the problem he caused whatsoever since it was discovered more than 30 days after service. Incredibly disheartening and disappointing, and not the kind of company I want to do business with.

I had an issue with sink backing up and garbage disposal basically vomiting up debris. Contacted this plumbing service via craigslist. Excellent work, fair price, and professional. I highly recommend.

Had work done again by M&Y plumbing. Setting up an appointment was quick and available the next day. Owner Mario was right on time as he said. He did a thorough and professional job as he had done last time for us. His prices are extremely fair and get the job done right the first time. If your looking for work to be done... Try them...... Don't waste your $$ paying for some big company name.
