I hired M.DiFoggio to replace my sister's bathroom sink faucet and drain with a new one which I supplied. I had installed 2 identical faucets myself and had hired contractors to install many more in numerous EBRPD facilities in California where I reside. I paid DiFoggio $ 412.50 and they left with the faucet leaking. As a licensed Architect who has worked with numerous plumbing contractors I suggest finding a plumbing contractor who does not overcharge and leave you with a leaking faucet.

I'll give 2 stars for getting the job done. Other than that they are scammers. They found 3 leaks and fixed them for in a couple hours for the small price of $1,200 then as I came home that same day I found another leak. We called them ASAP and they said we would be on a waiting list. They finally came a couple days later and charged us an additional $700 for the leak that they missed!! I explained how I found it the same day and they wouldn't budge and said no it was a new leak when the following days were 40 and 45 degrees out. They're only about their money, STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Mario is an excellent communicator, knowledgeable, and most important, sincere when he says he wants to help. That, combined with the herculean capabilities of his team (in this case, Nick and Tony), has secured M. DiFoggio Plumbing & Sewer Company as the only plumbing company I will ever call should problems arise in the future.

A bit pricey, but solid work, come on time and easy to contact.
We have had to rod out or lines few times, and they always do a great job.
Now, when I say pricey, I think that all/most plumbers doing this type of job might be pricey, so do not let that stop you.
They will get your job done right.

Having built and lived in four homes here in Chicago, my wife and I know a thing or three about needing a reliable plumber. And as is true with any service, there are skilled plumbers, and then there are those, let's simply say, who are not so skilled. Fortunately, when we recently encountered a plumbing problem in our basement laundry room, we were lucky enough to locate and utilize the professionals at M.DiFoggio Plumbing & Sewer Contractors Inc. First impressions do indeed make a difference: when I initially phoned the company, Gwendolyn was courteous, knowledgeable, thoroughly pleasant, and most importantly, gave me the clear impression that she understood our plumbing problem and that M.DiFoggio could indeed correct it. And my impression was right on point. Gwendolyn scheduled plumber Jim who arrived as scheduled at our home, quickly diagnosed the problem, and not only made the required repairs perfectly, but also provided me with valuable tips regarding prevention of plumbing problems. Jim was courteous, extremely neat, and totally exceeded my expectations with the quality of his repair work. And the bonus is that M.DiFoggio Plumbing & Sewer Contractors is less than a mile from our home! This is the very best plumbing company that we have ever utilized and the only one that we will use and recommend in the future. Thanks again, Gwendolyn and Jim, for your professionalism.

AVOID THIS COMPANY.

I called on Monday regarding two plumbing issues in my condo - my shower valve needs replacing and my toilet is continuously running. These should be two simple tasks for even a rudimentary plumber. The secretary who answered the office phone to give me an estimated cost was courteous, well informed and friendly... that's about where anything positive ended.

I called back the following day to set up an appointment and the phone was answered by a girl who put me on hold for literally every single question I asked and ultimately gave up and just transferred me to the secretary I had spoken to the day before. Clearly the secretary had been listening in because I was transferred within 2 seconds and she already knew everything I had said. Why are they making that poor girl answer the phone if she has no idea what is going on!?

Then I set up my appointment for 6am on Friday. I did this intentionally because I actually have a job (shocking!!!!) and don't want to have to take vacation time to watch a plumber fix a toilet. (Might I add, the entire reason I picked this company to do the work was because I was thrilled that getting a 6am appointment was even a possibility). They asked me to text photos of the shower knob to the plumber's personal cell phone to ensure he had the correct parts on hand. I sent the photo along with a text explaining who I was and confirming that I was expecting him at 6am Friday. I got no response... in retrospect, that should have been my first clue.

Friday morning 6am rolls around.... no-one shows up. Initially I thought okay well I'll give it time, maybe traffic. A full hour later I called the office number and got no answer (despite their website saying they opened at 6am... no-one was answering the phone at 7am). I then called the plumber's cell phone, again, no answer. I called back a second time to the office and left a voicemail explaining my frustration at the plumber's tardiness and how no-one communicated the delay to me. I then waited ANOTHER hour for someone to show up or call me back - NOTHING.

By 8am (2 hours past my appointment time) I gave up and went to work. Finally, at 9am I get a voicemail from a completely unapologetic man saying that the plumber got sick and wasn't able to make it. I understand people being sick, but a phone call would have been GREAT so I didn't sit around waiting for hours. Then to put the cherry on top the man actually started telling me HOW TO FIX IT MYSELF. And then said if I was desperate to call a different plumber because they were too backed up and he didn't know what to tell me at this point. There wasn't even a single apology for making me wait around all morning.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize when I set up an appointment for a ""professional"" plumber to come fix my bathroom that really that meant I'd wait around for hours only to get DIY instructions or pawned off to another company. How incredibly unprofessional!!!! I would think that a small business would live and breathe based on it's reputation and the satisfaction of it's customers. At bare minimum I would expect someone to offer to come out same day at no extra charge or to suggest an alternative solution that does not include me doing it myself or calling a different company. Good to know my business is so insignificant to them that they would rather send me to another company than try to fix their error.

Seriously, avoid the hassle and unprofessional dealings at this place. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Awesome Awesome Plumbers !!! Any plumbing problems whatsoever call M.Difoggio plumbing , very courteous ,extreamly knowledgeable, very reasonable prices that were way lower than competitors. I would definatly call them again !
