The techinician told us that the new Sprinkler Controller was $350. Online, it's about $176. We were charged $450 for the controller and labor. The techs also spoke spanish in front of us when they knew english.

I looked at the reviews and called to schedule an annual maintenance of my sprinkler system and I wanted to look into having some of the back yard nozzles changed. But it turned into an experience of only disappointment. When the technician finally arrived I was in a 3hr meeting and left my son outside to work with them. They never took the time to even consult him. All he was given was the big bill for me to pay. How do I even know that anything was replaced. I don't understand how work could have been done and no one notified. I did speak with management of my concerns but she didn't care. Her response was next time to state you want to give authorization before work is done. Dah...this is the case all the time! When you take your car to get fix; they find the problem and ask you if you want to get it fixed. Same thing when I call someone to fix my washer and dryer.

So I do not recommend this company!

After years of being loyal customers, we found oruselves in a jam... we had just put in $1300 worth of new landscaping only to realize we had not summerized our sprinkler system (which i believe is a 20-30 minute job). i called m&d to explain our situation and was told they could schedule me in 4 weeks. nice! i didn't get a reminder to summerize, m&d told me they've been so busy they didn't have time to send a reminder. lol, ya call youselves a company? i fired m&d and now have a new sprinkler company coming in 2 days....

Waited 1.5 weeks to have them come out for an estimate on a new sprinkler system. Verified the night before. The morning of the appointment, after I had worked my schedule around our appointment, they texted they could not make it because Mike had to be on a job. Sorry. Can we do it tomorrow? I told them no, I had other plans.

It really is not a compliment when they basically say "sorry, your're not important enough for us to keep our appointment. It was more convenient and important to tend to someone else's business". You get one shot at a first impression. Don't expect another shot when you blow people off at the last minute.

The guy who came was nice, but he was supposed to aim the heads & they still aren't right. Also a head is just bubbling & all the heads were supposed to be fixed. Using someone else.

M & D Sprinklers, when you need something done a month from now. When you need something done sooner... seek elsewhere. I can't see how they can stay in business with a business model like theirs.

June 2017 NOT RECOMMENDED. So many issues that added up to a very unpleasant experience. Initially told 2 day job that turned into weeks. Did not communicate job properly from beginning. Problems with dirt, no dirt mud and grass, no grass, wrong grass, now dead gras, and did not complete areas, or would not sayd anything when crews left as to when would be back ???, always had to call back??? And always told by Mike, "we can do that, we want you to be happy" after many issues got sick of hearing that. Ducted taped french drain lid at street, never got an answer why? Did not put any grass around drain, so now there is a lots of mud in street, and small sink hole. I have to go buy grass now and correct myself. Called about another issue, Mike came to my house 1 week later, no phone call, text, nothing, as I was leaving to get in my car and one of his rude comments were " You gotta understand, I just can't drop everything and rush over here." and walked off. I called again when I returned home, and not a word from them since, 9 days ago now. 2 year warranty on labor, yeah right couldn't do it correctly, neatly from beginning let alone if something happens in a year. Again highly NOT RECOMMENDED .
