Brief encounter with them - they came to check out our water heater, figured out the problem with it, spent a good deal of time finding a part then discovered that the real problem was the external electrical system! They then only charged me for the diagnostic visit, not the part or installation. Very straightforward, fast and courteous. If I get a real plumbing problem, they've got my business.

Yep, still happy with M. Cary. Time after time, they've provided me with invaluable assistance with my old home and it's...""""finicky"""" (expletive deleted) plumbing. I want to give a special shout out to Elizabeth, who assisted me on the phone this week. She's great.

I've had an extra bathroom that has not been used in a blue moon after I had some jerk plumber come in and tell me it would cost thousands to have my toilet and shower fixed. Well, I finally got sick of the inconvenience and perused Yelp. I liked the previous reviews on M. Cary and Daughters and thought I would give them a go. I called, they fit me right in, and came when they said they would. I got a female plumber- YES! I was alone and my hair was already bristling, thinking some guy was going to come in and try to railroad me with extras. I immediately felt comfortable with her. She took a look at my bathroom and showed me the cracks in the parts inside my toilet (I knew it had to go- it was 30 years old) and it would cost so much more to fix all the parts, I might as well get a new toilet. Agreed. And the previous plumber told me that it would cost hundreds upon hundreds of dollars to fix my shower. Nah, she said, it just needed some washers replaced, no biggie. She came on a Friday, and had a new toilet and the parts in by Monday. I asked them to come on Thursday, they showed up and fixed it all for a great price in under an hour. So far, the new toilet works perfectly (my fiance flushed it over and over again like a child with a new toy) and the shower no longer incessantly drips. Big thumbs up to M. Cary and Daughters!!

We've used M. Cary and Daughters for several years for typical household plumbing tasks and have been totally satisfied with their work every time. You might find a cheaper plumber to do the job at times, but the quality of the work with M. Cary is excellent and you'll know they did the job right. We just had a water heater replaced and they not only installed the tank as expected, they also reconfigured it so it wouldn't take as much room and they did a much better job at plumbing it than the last guy did on the old tank. We also had them come out one time to check on a leak in the kitchen faucet. It turned out to be a simple tightening of the hose connector going into the spray head, but they didn't even charge us for it (since we're on-going customers I suppose).

I have used M Cary & Daughters plumbing service in three of the houses I've owned over the last 20 years, including service from them today. The repair I had in my last house, a few years back, was a major sewer line replacement that was done efficiently and at a fair price. They came out today to my current home, and were able to repair our water line on-the-spot instead of having to do a full replacement. Having used them over the years, my experience with them is that they are always thorough and efficient. I would say they are moderately priced, certainly not as expensive as a franchise service like Roto Rooter but not cheap either. However, you get what you pay for. The plumber I have dealt with from M Cary on these jobs has over 20 years of experience. And they always come with a team ready to do the work if needed. They may need to schedule a few days out, but set clear expectations and keep their appointments. My overall experience with them is that you get a professionally done job for a reasonable price. I would definitely use them again, especially for a major project or emergency.

They were on time, professional, informative and super fast. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because to cut out and replace/solder a leaking copper elbow connector on the outgoing pipe of my water heater was very expensive.

I was very excited to see a plumbing company run and operated by women, but was very disappointed by one of the male plumbers who came to my home today. I had contacted them to have them check out a leak at the base of my toilet and a flooding of water happening every so often with my kitchen sink. When they came, I was at work, and they were interacting with my wife, and were extremely disrespectful to her and didn't believe her when she said why we called them in the first place. They lazily initially didn't even examine the problem, and were saying """"someone had bad aim."""" When my wife insisted this was not the problem and had to keep insiting and showing them the small hole at the base of the toilet that has been leaking, they finally realized the massive, $400 problem. And they did the same thing with the other issue in our kitchen sink before finally actually examining the problem and fixing it. I expected much more from a company run and operated by women to not listen to and respect my wife's reporting of the problem. They finally fixed all the problems, but we are definitely never using them again.

Cannot say enough good things about these guys! They came out and fixed a nightmare of a problem for a very good price and didn't just do a good job or a patch job--they FIXED the problem!! Extremely polite and on-time! Would highly recommend to anyone!!

I found this place to be more expensive than any other plumber in the free world. The women that answer the phone are so rude and started yelling at me. They didnt know what a sump pump was, really. I will never use this company ever and neither should you.

These ladies are amazing! We had a leak on the back of our house, thought we were in real trouble, they came and took a look and it turned out only to be a fitting that we just couldn't get tight enough. They didn't charge us a dime and now we haev them helping us install a new bathroom. Honest and dependable
