This ""Small Business Owner"" has very deceptive practices. I called in advance for water heater install & old unit removal. $200 during week and $300 on a weekend. Called 4 other plumbers for quotes besides M&A Plumbing. Average price.

During vacation, water heater went out on Saturday. The elderly house sitter looked them up in the phone book. He came out, looked at the unit I purchased while it was still boxed up (note: he didn't even attempt to open the box), looked at the old water heater area & said, ""sorry mam. This won't fit. I'll need to get a smaller unit. Want me to call Menards where this one is from & get a smaller unit?"" She said ""Will this cost more or will there be additional fees?"" He said ""Not unless you want me to cut all this out to make yours fit.""

He called Menards in front of her & said Menards said cheapes small unit is $475 w/o Tax because he's exmpt. Then he charged $375 for labor. Refused to give detail bill of charges & refused to give Menards receipt.

Now being held ""Hostage"" for 6 years, if i want any warranty work done due to the owner has put the unit into his name & refuses to change it over to my name. He also stated that if I call another plumber or the manufactures, he will not provide any information to them and all the cost will be out of my pocket.

Guess it goes to show you, go to a big company vs a small business. So what if it cost you a little more. Better that than being a hostage for 6 years! Bad Company!
