These guys are wimps. These guys want to show up in perfect conditions. Perfect circumstance; I had a busted pipe under my rental house. Yes there was water and mud and it was cold. I pumped out as much water as I could. Put down plastic. Yet, these wimps still would not go into the crawl space. Why? It was too wet. It was too cold. Wimps. I fired them. Would and will not use them again.

I needed assistance with my kitchen disposal it was humming and I wasn't sure of the issue was or if it needed replacing, Matthew Lyday and Brian Lyday were great! They explained the process & my options to allow me to make a solid decision on how to handle. My home is fairly new so I went with the replacement. They will also be replacing my commodes to raise them since I'm getting older. I'm very glad I located a plumber who is competent, professional, and cost conscious and will rely on them for future work. Thank you Lyday Plumbing!!

Matthew did an excellent job diagnosing the issue. Lyday was prompt, fair, and answered all the questions we had.

I called this company out for a sewage backup problem. The plumber who arrived said that there was no way clear the blockage using either of the two clean out valves in the basement and that the back yard would have to be dug up, city permits obtained, and the fence removed to allow in large equipment. I asked him for a quote and what kind of schedule this would involve. This was two days ago and I have not heard back. As far as they know, I am still without plumbing and have raw sewage in my basement and waiting on their call. Fortunately, I called another company, who checked it out and said that they could clear the blockage using either of the two clean out valves in the basement and the job was done within an hour for a reasonable price. I will not call Lyday Plumbing for anything ever again.

**The left feces all over my walls and floor.**
**Misdiagnosed problem. Plumber was snaking the city line Problem ended up being inside**
**sub-par communication**

My Warranty company called Lyday out to help with water backing up from my main drain. The plumber was an hour late.
Once he finally showed up He explained that we would need a brand new sewer line. This is BEFORE he ever even walked through the front door. we just bought our home and have minimal experience using plumbing services.
the ""plumber"" was a male roughly 22.
My clean out is in the basement bathroom. This is not the norm....
He finally was able to get his machine to the basement bathroom where the clean out was. He started running his snake to clear the blockage. He then came upstairs with bad news.
He said he was at 100' and still had not touched the block. The Tech was insistent that we have a Septic Tank. (We do NOT) Finally my husband got on the phone and explained that we do not have one.
We do have a manhole as well as a City water cap in our front yard. Still, the Tech insisted that the line ran to the BACK of the home. We back up to the Big Ditch. so that is not likely either.

He finally came back up and said he was at 140'. he had finally hit a blockage.

According to the Tech he finally hit a blockage. ""I believe your line is offset or collapsed"". he was able to pull his machine back out. On the end was a very small piece of roots.
He insisted we needed a brand new sewer line. I asked multiple times for him to run a camera down and he insisted he could not do it.

HE LEFT POOP ON MY FLOORS AND WALLS!! I realize that this was not a super clean deal. I expected a bit of mess. What he left me with was gross!! especially since I explained I had used ALL of my towels cleaning up the backed up water. The plumber knew I had no use of water! The guy didn't even close my shower door and got sewage all over my kids clothes!!!! The Plumber explained that ""he did not bring cleaning supplies so he used dry rags to clean up what he could and the rest dried onto the walls."" POOP STUCK TO WALLS."" even all over my basement floor and since he had it on his shoes... you guessed it ON MY CARPETED STAIRS!

During the appointment the plumber explained that he forgot a game was being released that day. He said ""If I wold have remembered the game was released I would have taken the rest of the week off.""
He ended up leaving after I paid the fee.
My family still had no use of water. He was not able to answer much. He kept touching walls and stair wells with his gloves. I had to disifect my whole home.
In a Facebook message the owner explained ""The warranty company Does NOT pay for us to put plastic up in the home."" Really??!!!! He also stood up for the person that came out explaining that it's a dirty job and that's what happens.

My husband took the entire day as well as the following day to call both the plumbing company and the warranty company. He called both on an HOURLY basis. The Plumbing company was not answering. The warranty company was even trying to get a hold of Lyday with no luck.

Lyday NEVER answered phones and did not call back for over 24 hours.
We could not use any drains in the home. . This was an important and emergency type deal.

Finally they called back.. Explained we needed a new sewer line. Our warranty company would not pay for it.

If you are still reading... this is where things get better for us.
We called a different company out (I will leave a review for them as well. I am not sure if I can leave the other businesses name here.) I explained the situation and they had their main line expert come out. Before he even got to my front door he had a call into the city to get the map of where the sewer line goes to. Imagine this.. the sewer line from my main clean out spot to the street where it connects was only 51 feet!!! Remember Lyday said he was out 140'. This means Lyday was snaking the city sewer line.
The other company thankfully forwarded me the google map showing this so I have it with me in the future.
He put a camera down my drain. Guess what, It was not broken. barely had evidence of roots. Explained it looked well maintained. We have clay pipes and they were very impressed by how well they looked.
(previous owners had a package delivered here. when they came to pick it up I talked with them of problem. Previous owners had just had lines snaked right before they listed.)

My warranty company is reimbursing us for some of the cost because of them sending a company out who completely misdiagnosed the problem and our out of pocket expense.

The blockage ended up being between the floor drain and the main clean out. Lyday tech never even looked at our floor drain.

Please do not use this company.

The worst. I am shocked how unprofessional this place is. There is one kid working as the ""plumber"" that asked me if I knew where our blow out pipe was. He said if we didnt have one, there was nothing he could do for pur backed up drain. Turns out there were 4 of them all around where he was siting on my floor in the basement as I ran all the water in my house so he could see it back up. He claimed there was no issue because it didnt back up the 15 min. He was there. Later that night we ran laundry and yulp water everywhere. I even told the kid that it backs up when we do laundry and he has me run everything but the washer. Our water heater is out also. He claimed we needed a part that they would have overnight to them and he could install the next day. We called the office and asked of they had an idea of when the part would come in, we were told by 330. 3:30 is here and gone, guess who hasnt called us and wont pick up the phone? This kid spent more tome bad mouthing other plumbing companies in the area than he did assesing the clear problem we have with the back up. Do not use them. If you have a warranty that dispaces them, call them back and tell them send someone else. Pretty soon the warranty place will drop this mom, dad and son..the only plumber. Mom and dad are the ""office managers"" I guess. We put in a claim on Friday that our hot water was out and we had back up. Here it is the end of business on Tuesday and we still have the same problem. These people need to find anoyher gig. Plumbing company is not their thing. Gettong ready to call warranty place amd file a complaint. The worst ever business.

So things have obviously changed since the last reviews! last fall the main water line coming from the city water into the house was leaking, after 2 days of digging (trying to fix it myself) I gave up! I called Lyday plumbing on a recommendation from a customer of ours. It was Saturday night and there was snow on the ground below freezing temperatures. The owner actually came over that night and repaired the line!
My neighbor has the same situation going on today, we did most of the digging (again trying to DIY) and couldn't get the fittings to fit, it's Sunday BTW, called Lyday again and they have an appointment for tomorrow morning early! This is a great company!

Lyday home plumbing used technical terms like RETRO FIT and CITY CODES to EXAGGERATE plumbing problem to threaten customers have less knowledge with plumbing so they can over CHARGING their customers.
They did NOT pull city permit and charged me $60.
They use the term RETRO FIT to charged me $70 for installing 6 screws to secure the vent pipe that took NOT EVEN 10 min.
They use the term RETRO FIT to charged me $60 to installing the pressure relieve pipe that take 5 min to install and $7 for the pipe.
They TRIED to charge me on their work order to stalling vent flashing for the water heater when my house vent pipe ALREADY HAVE FLASHING ON IT.
They add a gas line drip pipe and charged $100 (the gas line is leaking after the work is done).
BE AWARED!!! This LYDAY PLUMBING IS A RIBBED OFF COMPANY.

I was forced to use Lyday Plumbing because of my home warranty company. They did not pull a work permit, and then did not have their work inspected. Upon further investigation and contacting the city they never did any of that even though I paid them for the permit and inspection. The worst part of it all was I have a huge gaping hole in my basement to replace a sewer line. They did not do the work to code, and left my basement in a huge mess. After all this they essentially said they would refund me $45 for the permit and inspection, as well as pay a plumber to replace some rubber couplings, but thats it. Right now I am paying roughly $3000 to have all the work redone correctly and to code. Lyday also did not reinstall my sump pump, left it in the mud, initially not anything that he was doing any work on. The sump pump is clogged with mud and now ruined and they said well the sump pump is outside the scope of this project, the home warranty company agrees as well, and I am on my own with that as well. Future customers beware! Look at the multiple 1 star ratings for this company. the only way they are in business is home warranty. Save your money, and pay out of pocket for a good plumber like I should have. I am now $800 in the hole with Lyday because I went over the $1000 limit that the home warranty gave me.

After speaking with the City Inspector he failed to pull not one but two permits, yet I was charged for them.

I will NEVER use this company again. I told the lady over the phone that I had a problem with the water pressure in my kitchen faucet. The plumbers arrive at my house and wouldn't even start to assess the problem until I went out and purchased a faucet ""just in case it was the faucet that was broken."" This made absolutely no sense to me. I have owned my home for 19 years and have had multiple plumbers out in that timeframe and have never heard of anything like that before. I asked him if he thought he should make sure it wasn't the valve or supply line that was clogged first and he said he would but it would be more money if that ended up not being the problem and I needed a new faucet. I think asked him what was I supposed to do with the new faucet if my current faucet ended up not being the problem. He told me that I could just return it to Home Depot. I agreed to purchase a new faucet and was then told that he would have to reschedule another day to come back and install it because he had another appointment to get to, WHAT?? I called the company and spoke to a lady who proceeded to argue with me after I told her that this was ridiculous and other plumbing companies usually take care of everything the same day and usually check out the problem before asking a customer to go out and purchase a new faucet that they may or may not need. She told me that other plumbers don't have as much business as she does and that maybe I should call one of those plumbers instead. Well, I did. I called Reddi Industries and they had someone at my house within 30 minutes. The plumber took the faucet apart, cleaned out the valve body, and boom, my water pressure was back to normal. Took him about 20 minutes total. I didn't have to go out and buy and return a new faucet that I didn't need and he had excellent customer service. Another thing, I told the plumber from Lyday that the water doesn't stay warm after someone takes a shower. He went and adjusted my hot water heater tank. I asked the plumber from Reddi to take a look at what the other plumber adjusted it to and he said, OMG, he has this turned up so high, you would be scalded in about 3 seconds, especially your 4 year old grandson. He readjusted it and everything is fine with the temperature of the water now. DO NOT USE LYDAY PLUMBING.
