Did an excellent job with 2-story whole-house replumb (paleo-galvanized to copper) all in one day. Brought a full, excellent crew that made it all happen really fast, including the needed demolition and haul-away. Worked hard to minimize dust & such, very thorough floor protection etc. Don't let his minimum-details, round-number estimate deter you. We agreed on the scope of work and he did all of it and more with excellent attention to detail. Ended up adding a few more tasks along the way that day, no problem, very reasonable rates. Excellent work, competitive price, fully recommended!

I found the best plumber in the Bay Area! Jose from Lupian Plumbing is awesome. I added a cottage in our backyard and needed to have some major plumbing work done - a 70' sewer line with a challenging slope, 40' water lines and all new pipes and equipment installed inside the kitchen and bathroom. Because it was a large job I gathered several estimates and met with a number of plumbers in the area. Jose's price was the most competitive and as soon as I met him I could tell he was sharp and knew his trade. I was not disappointed. He and his crew completed a 3 day project in 1 day and it all passed inspection without a problem. He and his crew were also very mindful of my plants and garden when they were digging the trenches. When they left my home - you would have never known they were there - everything was in place and in order. You will not be disappointed!! I have already be referring Jose to my friends.

Texted them to get our sewer lateral inspected. They couldn't do it, but responded quickly with name and number of someone who could. Will certainly be calling for any future needs based on this level of integrity and helpfulness.

Just had a great experience with Jose and his crew. I woke up this morning to see water bubbling up from my sidewalk and discovered my water supply line had broken. I contacted quite a few of the 4.5 & 5 star reviewed plumbers, and Jose was the most responsive, accommodating and had a good price to boot. What other companies said would be a two-day job and potentially require tearing up the sidewalk was conquered by Jose and his 2 assistants in 3 hours flat and with the sidewalk left intact. The job site was left clean and thus far is holding up! I'll be calling him again for my next plumbing project.

Jose is a competent plumber - I know because Lupian did a couple of jobs a few years back, one of them major ($1500). The quality was good and there were no subsequent issues though they could have been a bit cleaner (they took precautions to be neat but just didn't clean up as well as we had liked.)

That being said, he was paid promptly and there were no complaints.

The problem is that we have contacted him recently for another job and he doesn't return calls any more. Now we know he must because there is indication that he still does good work, but for some reason we can't get a call back. I can't imagine there was any issue but perhaps since this was a smaller job he's not interested?

As mentioned, there was no complaint or problem with past work and he was always paid promptly and he I think Jose is very nice guy - but I can't recommend someone who won't return calls. Note that we did talk once about a job several months ago (I reached him live) and I provided additional information he requested but since then - radio silence. Again, I'd say if you are working with Jose he will do good work but you see my dilemma. I would MUCH rather support an independent person like him but this makes me wonder what would happen if he had a change of heart once we agreed to actually start another job.

I will add he's not the only plumber around who won't return calls so on a side note I guess business is really great for the good plumbers. A pity they can't extend the common courtesy that all customers should receive.

Jose and his crew just left my house. I had my old indoor tank-based water heater replaced with a new Takagi Tankless T-TK-4-OS outside the house. They arrived on time, ran a proper 1"" gas line from my meter to the unit, removed my old tank, and cleaned up when they were done. This 5 hour job was reasonably priced, the quality of work was excellent, and the attention to detail was obvious.

The worker even put all the drywall that was cut out back in the old closet. I'll only have to tape and patch/paint and the wall will be better than new.

Last night at about 6pm I found a horrible leak under my kitchen sink. I called Lupian and left a message and they called me right back! I asked if they could come at 2pm today and they said ""no problem"". They arrived early and fixed two issues quickly and at a lower cost than other quotes I had received. WOW - I am so happy. I will definitely use them again!

I have nothing but great things to say about Lupian Plumbing, the owner, Jose, and his gifted craftsmen staff.

We had a broken water main and spoke to a few plumbing companies about how they would go about assessing and remedying the problem (it was somewhat complicated and political due to potential tree roots from a city owned tree) which included price quotes. Jose's explanation was thoughtful and precise, and his quote was less than the others. On the morning of the scheduled work, Jose and his workers showed up right on time, and worked quickly and skillfully to resolve the problem. Juan, the lead worker that day, was so impressive in his workmanship and attention to details, that several neighbors who watched while he completed the job, asked the Lupian staff for their business cards. When finished, the site looked clean and as if there had never been any work done.

Additionally, after the Lupian staff left and I turned the main water back on to the house, I found that some of the natural sediment from the pipes got pulled into the shower pipes and clogged the valve. I called Jose back, and he came back out and helped me back-flush and unclog the pipes. This was above and beyond the scope of the work that we hired them to do, and was a great example of their commitment to customer service.
