We are first time home owners and when we got an alert that we had a leak. We contacted LSC Plumbing in the morning and Justin was able to come out that afternoon. He came out, saw our meter was running and took a video. He then turned off the water to the house, looked back at the meter and told us that the leak was in the main pipe line OUTSIDE of the house. He didn't do any tests or look through the house for leaks, he immediately told us this was a water line leak. We took his word and immediately got a quote from him. The quote was for $6,000. He told us that if he would have to dig by hand, then it would be double. He also told us that he doesn't work with insurance companies. We pushed this off and we began to file a claim through our home owners insurance. Justin was very eager for us to sign the contract and give him $2500. Luckily, the claim process took longer than we expected and realized this project should only be about $4,000.
We had a second estimate and found out that we had a leak in our bath tub. My husband fixed it for $100. Justin was very eager to get us to sign the contract and send over the $2,500. We are honest working people and cannot afford a $6,000 repair.
I've attached his contract, texts with LSC Plumbing, the updated status saying that we no longer have a leak, and Justin's Facebook account where he comments ""Looks like money to me"" with someone doing a similar project.
I called Justin and spoke with him and asked for him to return our $195 service fee because of how off his claim was. He refused.
Please please please do not use LSC Plumbing. Get a second opinion.
