Facts only...
1. Made a package deal with Nick to fix the leak and replace water heater at the same time. The price was fair, not high nor low. He said he would be there by 8AM, the next day. By 8:45 I called the dispatcher and told him if Nick wasn't there in 15, I was going to cancel. 10 minutes later, I get a call from Nick. I tell him I'm really disappointed and was going to cancel. He said he would give me an additional 10% off and be there in 15. Well, another 30 minutes and he showed. Guess what? He had ZERO items required for the job! He said he had to go pick them up. He left and was gone for over 2 hours! Something fishy...So, he comes back and says they were out of the drip pan and he had to go find one. I told him there was a hardware store down the street. He said he would be right back. This time he was gone for an hour and a half!! At this point, the work is started and I have no choice. After I pointed out he forgot a 'T"" for another connection, the attitude started. I couldn't wait for him to be done. At the end of this ordeal, he was taken aback that I would pay him the original amount minus 10%. WTF? So to be done we split it in half.
My opinion is that Nick was working two or maybe three jobs while working mine. If that's okay with you and you don't mind a bit of attitude, go for it.

This company doesn't come back when you call them three or more times to look at rattles in pipes and they claim all work is guaranteed?

I can't warn you strongly enough NOT to use this company. They were a disaster from start to finish. We had a leak in our AC hosing in our ceiling, which caused dripping in one wall. We called L&S when we first noticed the leak, and before there was any major damage. They came and diagnosed a pin-sized hole in the hose, and replaced it. But the water kept dripping. I called again and they said it was probably just water absorbed in the insulation and it would stop dripping in a day. Next thing we knew large water bubbles were forming in the ceiling and dripping rapidly. I had them come look, and they swore it was just excess water in the insulation, which seemed really stupid. I argued it had to be more than that, but they insisted, and pretty much treated me like an idiot. Next thing I know water is showering down through the ceiling. They finally came back, and woe and behold--they mis-diagnosed the original problem and found a major crack in the hosing system. What could have been a minor water damage problem located in one room and one wall, turned into a major problem that involved two rooms, four walls and a ceiling, and took over 1 month to repair. And because I went with them to start with, and signed a contract with them (which thankfully my insurance company signed on with), I was stuck using them for the entire process. And they sucked the entire time. The job took way too long. The work was shoddy. I had to have them come back three times to get the painting right (the paint was bubbly, spotty and messy), and twice to put the baseboards and door trims on properly (their first attempt had large and uneven seams). I suspect that they may have intentionally mis-diagnosed the original problem and allowed the major damage to occur just so they could have the big job. I own numerous rental properties and will absolutely never use them again. I also kept my insurance company abreast of their crappy work and poor customer service skills, and they removed this company from their referral list. Do not use them. You will regret it if you do!!

I called when I noticed a leaking pipe in my house. Nick the plumber arrived 20 MINUTES LATER. The leak was at a welding point at the pressure regulator for the house. He took the whole assembly apart and welded the bad joint back together. The whole thing took 20 minutes. L&S will be my first call for all of the plumbing and construction issues I face in the future.

Called Cesar on a Sunday and he was at our place within an hour. Cesar was professional, friendly and reliable. He discuss our options on how to fix the slab leak. It's a major project and he and his partner Gerry were the best in completing the project on time and fast. They did an excellent job. Would hire them again with no hesitation. Highly recommended.

Filled out the contact form online, got a call back later that afternoon and Cesar was at my house the next morning. It wasn't an immediate need, but I appreciated him accommodating my schedule. We are moving and needed a few items corrected for our home inspection. Cesar went to work quickly and even taught me a few things along the way, as well as entertained my 5 year old that was watching the entire time! The price was very reasonable, and will definitely call again if we need things fixed in our new house.

All my toilets backed up the other day, a Sunday of course. So I get out Yelp and look up plumber in my area. L&S is at the top of the list with 5 stars so I call. They get me lined up with someone who can be out in an hour which was great. When I talked to the plumber he told me the initial visit for diagnostics only would be $385, seems steep but it was Sunday and I had water coming out all the toilets so I agreed.

The plumber showed up in an unmarked van and was very polite and professional. Diagnostics were done and a snake was quickly run down the drain where the clog was located. A quick 5 minute attempt to snake the drain out was performed with no luck. All the gear was quickly packed up.

At that point the estimate was made for digging out an 8 foot section of pipe and removing/replacing a ""back flow valve"" ( which proved to be nonexistent and from my research is only placed in flood prone areas which doesn't apply to my situation).

Price estimate to dig up and replace the pipe and the mystery check valve... $2800....... and didn't seem like anything that could be done today.

Now I'm not a plumber but I'm not clueless either. I've replaced faucets and toilets plenty in my day. So once the plumber left with my $385 I headed down to Home Depot to get one of those balloon attachments that hook to the end of the hose and then pressure blast out the clog. Cost $20. This didn't work so I pulled the lid off the septic which was already uncovered due to a recent inspection, low and behold in plain eyesight I could see all the sludge clogging up the pipe so I took a little stick ( cost $0 ) and broke up the sludge and grease in about two minutes... Problem solved drain cleared. I thought about calling and asking for some sort of partial refund in exchange for not writing a review, but then I thought what if this clog was at the poor little widow's house next door and she used Yelp. She would have taken the plumber at his word and then been out over $3000 hard earned dollars for something, that in my opinion and past plumbing experiences should have been performed in the first visit for no more than $385.

I'm going to stop short of saying I was being preyed upon because I live in an upscale neighborhood....... but you have to wonder. Was it that or could a professional be that clueless about how to address a simple clog.... ???

I have never seen a plumber put forth less effort trying to problem solve a situation. It seems to me that he had already made up his mind on the course of action during the consultation phone call ( he mentioned the back flow valve then) and stuck to the story once he got there.

Bottom line, buyer beware with plumbers , if you aren't sure get a second opinion.....

I know I haven't done many reviews in the past, mainly because of apathy but since I used Yelp to locate a competent and reputable company I felt it was my duty to make this review and I plan to be more active in the future to lend more credibility to this review.

Called Chris at L&S about water heater pilot on my rental property. Nate was out to inspect It and thought it might be leaking. He came back several times to make sure my tenant had hot water and finally replaced it with plumber grade water heater.

I have several properties and these guys are my go to company from now on. Highly recommend them.
