When you use these plumbers, guard your wallet at the door.
The problem was simple: it seemed our toilet needed a new flushometer, a basic component of most toilets. I called LS Expert Plumbers and spoke with Mike. He asked me to take a picture of the toilet and send it to him, and I did. The toilet has a cut-off valve next to it, so there's no need to go far to cut the water off. He told me the flushometer was a new one, so did not need replacement, only a repair. I asked him how much this would cost: ""$450. If you needed a new flushometer, it would be $750.""
This seemed excessive to me, but he explained that EVERYTHING is now more expensive, and since it was only a repair, not replacing the flushometer, he did not have to clear it with our management agency--but if he did, then he would charge us even more. I was tired of dealing with the situation of not having the toilet, and had no idea how long this repair might take, so I gave in.
The next day he sent a man who spoke almost no English in to fix the flushometer. He had the right part, a Sloan A-41-A. (It cost $19.00 from Amazon.) It took him 12 minutes to do the work, and about 20 minutes for him to go back to his truck to write out the bill for $450. I was in a state of shock--i thought, he can't really be charging me this kind of money for this kind of work. I was wrong. The toilet does work now, but you will be ice skating through hell before I call this company again. These people give new credance to the old adage: ""Let the buyer beware!""
By the way, afterwards I got bids from other plumbers: they were all 1/2 to 2/3 the price of LS Expert. It seems like the ""expert"" here is getting money out of you.

I am a property manager so I deal with vendors all the time, this has been one of my most unprofessional experiences in recent memory. I can't rate this company for plumbing work because after scheduling several appointments in 48 hrs they have failed to show up again. I had a water line burst due to the recent extreme cold. I called this company due to an excellent Google review and the owner came out within a few hours. We scheduled an appointment for the following day at 9am. The plumber never showed and at 10:15 I was finally able to get through to the owner on his cell. He claimed to be tied up on a prior call and would call back in 5-10 minutes with an updated time of arrival. Needless to say I never heard from him again. I left at noon. I then received a call at 1 from an employee looking to start the job late in the afternoon. He was completely unfamiliar with the scope of work and had no idea what an end time frame would be. He told me he would call the owner and call me right back, he didn't... At 2pm he called to tell me that he was on his way to the property. I reminded him that he had never called me back to actually schedule an appointment. He claimed that it had been a crazy day due to the weather and he asked if we could make it for today. I agreed to a new appointment for 8am. At 8 I called to confirm they were on their way to find out they aren't coming again, and the Workman would like to schedule for next week...I don't think so.
If this is how they treat customers when they don't have your money I can't imagine what type of service I'd received if I'd already written a check...

I used LS Plumbing to install a new toilet and sink in my house. They showed up promptly when they said they would and didn't overcharge me. I dealt with the owner, Mike, and I'd definitely call them again if I have any plumbing issues.

We used these company twice to service our boiler. Our boiler stopped working on Saturday evening and we called LS Expert Plumbing. We explained the problem over the phone and he determined that the Honeywell Aquastat relay L8148E most likely needed to be replaced. He stated that he used the last one on an earlier repair and didn't have any more to come out and replace ours. My husband and I ran to Home Depot and found the Honeywell Aquastat Relay L8148J, which is the universal part replacement at a cost of $189. I called LS Expert Plumbing again the next day to see if someone could come out and install the part we purchased from Home Depot since they didn't have the part the night before. The same person answered and arrived withing 25 minutes. He looked at the boiler and determined that it was the aquastat and the damper wire that connected to the aquastat caused a short. He looked at my Home Depot purchased piece and said it was the wrong piece. He stated that because it was Sunday it would be hard to find the part needed, but lo and behold he came back in 10 minutes with the part at a cost of $300. He changed the aquastat, cut the bad cord from the damper, and opened the damper. The final charge was $680 ($300 for the part & $380 for the work). The boiler was running, but now I have to find a viable cord for the damper, since he cut it and didn't fix it. The weekend emergency price is very high and the markup for the replacement aquastat was marked up about $110 more than other places. The aquastat went out twice before over a 8 year period and this is the first time we paid so much for such a repair.

The bottom line is that he came quickly and got the boiler up all in less than an hour. You should ask for an estimate or weekend/emergency rate before work is started.
