Steve Lowry founded this business in 1980; the company began with only Steve and his work truck. His apartment served as the initial office. Steve took care of every job himself. As time went on, his business expanded, prompting him to bring on additional electricians and open his first shop. Identifying a way to expand, Steve added HVAC and plumbing to our offerings. Our company continues to thrive, even during tough economic times. Having served the community for 40 years, we remain committed to growth.
For the past 35 years, Joe H. has been part of Lowry Services. He began as an electrician working in the field on service calls. Over the years, he has acquired practical experience across various aspects of our business. These experiences provide Joe with a unique perspective with the situations his employees encounter. Joe's rise to General Manager was unconventional; this unconventional route has proven to be an asset. Having started as a service technician, he has built a strong rapport with his employees. His key strength as General Manager lies in his practical, real-world experience alongside his creative approach to lead our company into the future.

Mark S.Should be zero stars
Crappy work, outrageous price
Mount 3 small lighting fixtures to boxes that already had fixtures, no wiring, no new boxes, customer supplied fixtures, 2 hours, easy, no materials, $ 600 !!!
Had to have someone else fix their work too.
Rip off artists, wish I'd been home
Recently I had the chance to work with two of Lowry's services HVAC & Plumbing. I have never used their services before but am very glad I did. Jeff initially came to provide an estimate for a new AC unit. He did a great job of not coming across as ""pushing"" the product and was helpful and more importantly it felt like he was being honest. After getting 3 total estimates from other companies, we decided to go with Lowry's. Ervin & Russ did a great job of installing the unit. They were respectful, polite and helpful. I later needed to contact their Emergency Line due to a Water Heater issue. Tyler came to my home very late at night and was amazing. He quickly resolved my water heater issue and was helpful in suggesting some improvements that we should consider in the very near future. He was by far the most knowledgeable plumber that I had to my home since I moved in.
I rarely post comments on Yelp but felt obligated to provide positive feedback due to the great work they provided. I was shocked to see the negative ratings & would suggest you give them a chance if you are looking for a service that they can provide.
Thanks!
Do not use this company, total ripoff. They charged me 900 dollars to hook up a new kitchen faucet and reconnect my garbage disposal. I called 2 other plumbers after they left and asked for a rough estimate, the highest for this work was $350 dollars. Lowry must charge over 400 bucks an hour for labor for the price they charged me. The technician was only here an hour and 15 minutes. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. There are still honest plumbers out there!
jason was friendly and quick. Repaired a pipe in our ceiling very quick and was professional. I
We had a great experience with the installation of our Heating and A/C system in March 2014. So much so that we recommended them to my sister and brother-in-law. We agreed to a 10 year service contract which the price was very fair. I was assured that follow ups were inputted into the system so that Lowry's would call to schedule our service calls twice a year. How much easier could it get? Then Nov 2014 came and went with no call from the company. I called and was told that there was no need as the system was just installed in the spring. Two days later I received a call stating they were looking to schedule my initial service call. Left Hand/Right Hand???? Since that initial appointment I have had to follow up with Lowry's twice a year. Our technician that was out last spring was finishing up when I asked how to reprogram our wireless thermostat, he looked at me as if I asked him to solve the budget deficit. He told me to ask his old boss (our friend who used to work for Lowry's) as he has no idea how to reprogram it. Felt great about letting him work on the unit.
A few weeks ago I realized that we had not heard from the company for our pre-winter service call in Feb 2016, so I called and asked why I would not have heard from them. All I could hear were crickets on the other end of the phone. Now I have rescheduled multiple times and no one shows up sometimes they call and it becomes, well the tech is running late so it may be a few hours. This company is a scam they extend you a 10 year service plan pre-paid, at a ""discount"", and they don't call you and when you call them they don't show up so they don't have to pay their tech. So it is March and I still have not heard from them regarding their failure to show up last week. My next course of action is to request my prepaid service money be returned so I can take my business to another company that will show up.
Tom D.Matt D did a great job rewiring our living room, and installing overhead lighting. He quickly understood what we wanted to do, and proposed a pragmatic solution. When performing the work, Matt took care to avoid damaging our ceiling, walls and floor. In general, he paid careful attention to detail, as if he was working in his own home. We're very happy with the results, and are looking forward to working w/ Matt on our next project.
I had Matt from Lowry's out to my new house, to rectify an electric issue. Matt was completely professional and personable. He took time to explain the issue, make recommendations and explain the fix. He also helps me with a separate issue I was having and said he'd be happy to come back when I had the part. He came back out today... same great experience.
""You get what you pay for!"" Lowry Services is a total opposite of this saying. Do not waste $49 for trip charge and your time waiting for them to show up. I called them to fix a couple of outlets that lost power. A technician came, poked around with his multimeter for 10 minutes, sat down on the kitchen table, played around with his ipad software to give me a quote of $630 and he couldn't tell me what was wrong with the outlets when asked. He just replied ""oh, I have to diagnose and do some minor repairs for $630."" Their business model is go to naive homeowners and charge $49 with crazy quotes. He also quoted me $2000 to have an outside lamp post installed which is only a few feet away from an electrical box. By the way, after a few weeks, I got them fixed by an electrician for $40. He spent about an hour diagnosing and fixing and charged me for 15 times less than Lowry. Thanks Lowry for teaching me patience and the ability to detect BS.
THE WORST, THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! MISLEADING ADVERTISING. RUDE AND NASTY CUSTOMER SERVICE. Were supposed to come out Friday night (window 5:00-8:00) but I got a call from them at 6:35 they were to busy ""someone would definitely be out on Saturday"" with a window of 11:00 to 4:00. Ok so I'll stay in the house all day on the only day I have to run errands but the heat will be fixed. Get a call on Saturday at 3:05 they were to busy they had to help their contract clients first because they come first. Someone can come out tonight but you will have to pay the emergency rate. WHAT you told me ""someone would definitely be here on Saturday"" but now I have to pay the emergency rate????? After I waited Friday and today for 4 hours! Of course I am a little upset (more than a little upset) with a girl with a monotone voice on the phone saying I'm sorry without a hint of anything but this is my job I could careless. Puts me on hold for 10 minutes and comes back and says I don't have to pay the emergency rate. I ask if someone will come out this time or not get told someone will be there I ask if she is sure yes. Then it gets better a man calls me back and tells me I should not take it out on the call center with an angry attitudes towards me!! Oh I guess you would not be upset waiting 2 days and no one shows up with temps supposed to be in the 20s tonight. After that kind of service I told them not to bother because I doubt they would have showed up any way. If they do not come out for 2 days they should expect the person on the other end of the phone to be upset when they were promised ""someone will definitely be there on Saturday""! And to call back with an attitude towards me! I would never deal with this company again. I am moving and would have considered using them as a contract company in my new home but glad this happened because I will never use them again. BEFORE YOU ARE RUDE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS AGAINY MAYBE YOU SHOULD REMEMBER THE INTERNET.
I like Lowry because of the integrity of their work, helpful ideas for me as a homeowner, convenience and coupons.
Over the past year I've had two HVAC service calls and had the same technician. He is efficient and thorough in diagnosis while providing easy preventative maintenance tips. He truly looks at the job from the customer's point-of-view and even takes the time to show and explain to me. He answers all my questions enthusiastically.
I like making one-call, and having an answering service (versus leaving a voicemail message). Lowry calls back promptly and arrives the same day (i.e. I don't expect someone at my door within 15 minutes) at a time convenient for me.
Their coupons are online at their website and are a no-brainer.
I will continue to use Lowry for HVAC work.
