Recommended Customer Reviews

I have waited a year to leave this review, but when we discovered yet another issue related to the total re-plumb of our house, I felt a review was warranted. We hired Lowery to do a complete re-plumb of one of our investment properties in October of 2021. Since then, We have had to call them back out no less than 8 times to warranty poor workmanship. Rough-in plumbing was improperly installed or placed (3 times), a newly installed vent stack was not waterproofed on the roof and led to major flooding and water damage after a rain storm (it took 6 calls and two months to get them to address the issue and I water-proofed the vent stack myself), a drain line in the wall became disconnected and leaked inside the wall, and today, we discovered the drain under the tub is dumping water onto the dirt under the house into the crawl space. We will not be calling them out to warranty this work any longer, as I have ZERO confidence in their work. We will be paying out of pocket to have another company come fix Lowery's issue. We are still paying on the $20,000 we paid them for this work and I could not be more heartsick about it. Don't hire this company under any circumstances.

I wish we had read these reviews. I totally agree with the ones that experienced being overpriced. That is exactly what happened. We were charged over 200 for a tiny part for our leaky shower faucet. The "special" was $49.95 plus parts; however, that totaled to over $200. Some how, I doubt the part that was put cost $150. Totally disappointed. I can't believe a friend recommend this over priced company. NEVER AGAIN will we use them!!!!!

Lower plumbing runs a company whose intention of overcharged on their repairs,to deceive you and lead you into replacing your a.c. unit for a new one when you don't need it ,they came to my place charged me $700 they have workers who don't know what they are doing, they did not fix it,they requested me additional $775 and they said would not guarantee fixing it total of $$1475,they nicely offer me to replace my a.c. unit for a supper bargain price of $7500,*very nice of them) I called a different technician one who was very honest,Fixed my a.c. for $175 total with parts, this is a company trying to make me purchase a$7800 new unit when I didn't needed it,deceiving people, overchargin and creating non-existent problems in your unit to force you to purchase a new unit ,thays their mantra, is plain stealing from people, and having a license, does not give them that right to be dishonest, and deceiving,Never again. Lowery plumbing

Instead of telling me the truth, I got the lie & blame. Trane heat pump stopped working properly, I called because my paperwork indicated it could still be under warranty. I was told the work wouldn't be covered because I hadn't called both them AND Trane to let them know of home owner change & to register under my name. Reality is they didn't want the cost and hassle to repair. Needing to report new homeownership (from original purchaser) is a poor excuse; this is not stated on their original original work order, or the Trane manual. I even mentioned as an easy out for them, that didn't sound right, and have a family member that has worked for Trane and been in the the industry for over 30yrs and he's never heard that. They lost a customer by pushing blame to me versus making right on a promise and taking the headache on themselves.

This company has really bad customer service, do not use until they improve. I have a home warranty policy through AHS, I was texted they would be at my home at a 4 hour window on 11/15, they did not show up or call. I called and they said "oh, that is supposed to be the 16th, not the 15th". I told Katrina on the phone that I would need to re-arrange my schedule again as I had taken the 4 hour window off to be at home for them to arrive for assessment of plumbing issue. She asked me what was convenient, I told her the 16th between 1-5pm, I told her I would be taking that time off of work and would be home awaiting their arrival. It was 4:00pm and due to the day before not showing up, I called the office. Another lady answered, stating Katrina had gone home and the technician "tried to call" to tell me he was on his way and I did not answer so they did not show up. No voicemail was left, no one called me from the office either. I did receive a text 30 minutes before that from them also stating "a technician is on his way from Lowerys to your home". When I called the lady said "it is their policy that someone must answer the phone in order to send someone to the home", no one even left a message for me to call back when I was on the other line. This is also not what their text message stated. Here I sit, still 30 minutes left in the day for their supposed 4 hour window to come to my house and she asked if I wanted to re-schedule for the next day. ABSOLUTELY NOT! Do not want a company in my home that can't even get their biz model straight on messages stating they are on their way, when they are not. Or having people take off of work 2 days in a row...with NO ONE showing up. I have used 6 other plumbers within 2 other states in remodeling homes and when someone gives you a window of time, they have showed up during that time. In Lubbock-Sinclair Plumbing is the best company I have used multiple times, only HAD to use this company as that is what my warranty company required me to do. I will be calling Sinclair directly and not using the warranty company for this one.

Chris Preston Comment on wife's first facebook post.
She was right, Mike is a nice guy but he only snaked one line. One week later, had to have them back out. This time Chris showed up and ran the video cable down the lines. That did reveal a lot problems with our 50-60 year old cast iron pipes including a hole/break in one line along with roots invading the joints on the line outside the house. He called someone else and a salesman showed up and they walked around the house and discussed what Chris had found. Salesman went out to his vehicle for about 20 minutes and came back in and had three "proposals" for us (kind of a good, better, best...best he called platinum) We were in a time crunch due to work requirements; so we went with his best proposal. During that conversation he made it clear that as they had not seen under the house there might be surprises so the price might go higher and we understood. He also said they would have to dig under our foundation (pier and beam) for access to work and feed pipe, etc.
Chris Preston Continuation of current comment. 5 days later, on schedule, plumbers(somebody) showed up in the afternoon and dug down to the existing drain pipe to the east of the house and in the back yard to the cleanout (main backyard sewer line had been replaced before from backyard cleanout to city sewer, no problems in that line). Next day, could tell they had dug more and revealed an existing hole in foundation the the drain lines from the house exited through. So....no having to dig under the foundation to do the repair work under the house. Following day, plumbers arrived approx 9 am (I took the day off so they would have under house access from the inside) and worked until almost noon. (Keep in mind they have to come and go to gets parts that they don't have on their truck, no problem, that is normal). Came back a little before 2 in the afternoon, spent a few minutes and left to arrive back in about 20-30 minutes and went back under the house. Worked until around 4:30 (Friday) and called it a day. They would be back on Monday to complete work. Kudos to the plumbers, they never really left us without a bathroom, never overnight or the weekend. Over the weekend, we discovered they had cut the drain from our laundry to the main sewer in the back yard and had not reconnected it. Just gray water, the plumber who showed up Monday took care the little work he had to do under the house and dug up and reconnected the laundry line to the main sewer. Minor screw up they easily fixed. They still have to jet the laundry line to clean out old gunk and are working with Lubbock Building inspectors to get the inspection done. Hopefully this Friday. Got a call from the saleman today to see if all was going well and when I told him I was really interested in seeing the final price after all the work was completed (asked for a detailed invoice) he told me they don't do that and that the "proposed estimated price" we signed was the final price. Said they only do fixed pricing, yet during his whole proposal and on the form we signed, it clearly says proposal and estimate. He sat in my living room with my wife and I and now denies what he told us. The work went way smoother and quicker than what he led us to believe and I believe there should be a downward price adjustment to reflect that. I did again ask him for a detailed invoice to justify the price he quoted us. I am pretty sure I will never get any satisfaction that way but just wanted to warn anybody new that wants to use Lowery. I believe their plumbers/workers are top notch but if a salesman heads your way, no matter how much of time crunch you are in, get other, real estimates. I hate to say how much of fools we were to sign that estimate, but it was low 5 figures. I like their plumbers but after this is done, I will never recommend Lowery to anybody for anything other than a simple call .

I always want to give credit to a job well done. We had a real head scratcher with the plumbing at the house and I called Lowery. It took several days and several visits to identify the issue and find a solution to the issue. Everyone that came out was outstanding. Friendly, timely, professional and clean cut. My wife and I could not have been more pleased with the work and attention we received.
