Based on Yelp reviews I called Matt of Low Cost Drain Plumbing for 2 problems in my condo master bath. The tub wasn't draining, and the toilet squirted water from between the tank and bowl when flushed. Matt said the toilet couldn't be fixed; I had to get a new one. When he was clearing the tub drain, I heard an electric augur ""snake."" I went to the bedroom to see what was going on in the bathroom. In my experience plumbers like to start with a manual ""snake"" because there's a chance of poking a hole in the drainpipe or building pipe with an electric snake. Matt did not like my coming to check on what was happening. He cleared the tub drain and showed me the small globe attached to the round overflow plate. It was full of hair and gunk. He said the globe could be discarded. I decided to get a second opinion on replacing the toilet. The second plumber repaired the toilet. The gasket was worn. He said if a toilet isn't cracked (mine wasn't), it's usually repairable. By the time the second plumber came two months after Matt, the tub drain had become sluggish. The new plumber said the major pipe, where most clogs occur, was clean. But he found a lot of hair and gunk in a much shorter pipe that he had to clean Based on my experience I will not call Matt again

I used Matt and Low Cost Drain and Plumbing for toilet replacement last year and wrote a positive review (9/25/12). This time I had more serious pluming work - a slab leak. Matt and his assistant were once again prompt in assessing the situation and fixing the problem (after discussion options, decided on a reroute). They also continued to show up when they said they would (or call ahead if they were running late.) I recommend them for plumbing problems both big and small.

I needed a plumber to fix my leaking kitchen faucet. I called another plumber first, but he didn't get back to me in time, so after a few hours I decided to call Matt based on the Yelp reviews. I call him and explain the problem. He says I need a new kitchen faucet and tells me where I can buy one and recommends a certain brand. Since I know nothing about faucets I ask him how do I know which type to get. He asks me to send him a picture on the phone, which I do, and he tells me exactly what I need. The next day I call him for advise about getting a bit fancier faucet for the sink, but he says it won't fit well, so I get the same kind I had. All this over the phone, without actually looking at the problem in person, so nice to be able to figure out the problem and solution just over the phone. He came and installed the faucet, it was really fast. He didn't mind my two very social cats when they were bugging him. He was really nice and when I showed him some minor plumbing problems we had in the bathroom, he told me that it was easy and I or my husband could do it ourselves, even explained how to fix it, but also quoted a price if he was to do it. I would definitely call him again. He answers his phone right away and solves the problem even over the phone. He worked fast and was personable. I highly recommend him.

I live in a condo and had a hard time finding a plumber who could help me. A lot of plumbers say they don't want to work in condos for insurance purposes. We were leaking into the bathroom ceiling of our downstairs neighbors unit. The 1st plumber I found, came out and said it was our toilet, reset the toilet and told me everything would be fine. It was till water started pouring into the downstairs bathroom. Matt was recommended to me by a friend so I called him and he came over. He was so thorough, he quickly found we had a cracked pipe and was able to change it out. He did an excellent job!!! Him and his coworker pono were so professional. They were lightning fast and they cleaned up their mess!! I expected a hefty bill since I know plumbers aren't cheap. But the cost was so reasonable I couldn't believe it. If you want quality work and great service give matt a call :)

Contacted Matt to do the plumbing during a kitchen renovation. He answered his phone and asked for a text photo of the current undersink plumbing and connections which ensured he got the right parts. He was efficient and professional, and arrived on time. Responds to text messaging.

Had a couple of simple plumbing issues in a house where you really don't want to touch or tighten anything 'cause it will only get worse. Wasn't an emergency call, but Matt and Pono got here, assessed the situation, and fixed it. Matt also found the source of a bathroom sink leak, and pointed out the crack near the drain. Matt answered phone call around 6pm in the evening and was able to make it over to fix my Kitchen sink in less than an hour. Prior to arriving he quoted me a price from the description of symptoms and explained what work would need to be done. Upon completion of the work he charged me less than what was quoted over the phone. Very Honest and affordable. I will use this companies services again and highly recommend to others.

Called Matt on a Saturday morning as my water heater decided to leak on me and seep into the walls and carpet next to it. Out of all the plumbers called, he was 1 out of 2 to call back after having left a voice mail msg. Matt was able to give some advice to save me some moolah prior to him coming over to finish the job. I picked up a new water heater at Home Depot and drained the old water heater while I waited for Matt. He came over as scheduled (on a Saturday) and was able to finish the job in no time. Cost me $200 and well worth it. I will definitely call Matt if I do have any more plumbing issues. *crossing fingers that I don't. Thanks again Matt!
