When I first moved into my house in Arlington Heights 11 years ago we learned the hard way that the 1950s cape codder had some plumbing/heating challenges. The winter of 2003 was a really cold one (yes even colder than this year) with several major snow storms too. We had 3 separate instances of frozen/burst pipes. And though we didn't know of Lovett's back then we did call many local Arlington Plumbers - none of whom returned our desperate calls - we finally got a plumber in Cambridge to respond. (So I'm not very happy with some other other active ""recommended"" plumbers in Arlington!)

After that I got estimates for some other plumbing work and found Lovett's, who also offered the best prices.

Since we found Charlie Lovett we have been so much happier due to his responsiveness, honesty, helpfulness and directness. Several years ago we foolishly chose not to follow his suggestion to replace the water heater with a tankless one and wound up having lots of issues - none his fault - due to a complicated ventilation system the previous plumber had installed. But Charlie answered many calls on weekends and on short notice to address the water heater problems that came up. He was always incredibly responsive and helpful regardless of the day of the week or time and his charges seemed very reasonable.

Since then we've had Lovetts replace a toilet, garbage disposal and most recently our old heater - gas boiler - system with a new combination tankless hot water heater and boiler. Charlie helped us get rebates on the heater/hot water system so that the $12000 cost was offset with $5000 in rebates.

There have even been a few occasions when Charlie has come and was able to quickly fix a problem or address some of our questions and he didn't charge us for the visits.

Charlie and his employees are all very informative, friendly and helpful too.

I totally endorse and recommend Lovetts Plumbing!!!

They were fast getting someone over here within the hour and very friendly. He was easily able to unclog our toilet...but charged $110 dollars to do it. The rate seems unreasonably high to me.

Fantastic service and company- Doing a bath remodel and needed a quick quote for some plumbing updating. Shower drain and supply.

I called left a VM mid-day for a quote and availability to do the job.

Charlie called me later in the day and talked thru some of the details.

Give me a quick quote over the phone. Was able to get Bill, (Bill was terrific very knowledgeable and great to work with) to do a quick survey of the project in the AM 8:30. Gave them the job to on the spot.

Bill had a few jobs going in the morning but was able to start the job and come back later in the day and finish the job.

Very professional, very clean and clearly reliable. Great service and very reasonable price. I have a new plumber.

Charlie has done a number of jobs at our condo over the past few years. He has replaced radiators, repaired bathroom plumbing and most recently replaced a boiler the day after it seriously malfunctioned. He is always very prompt with calling back, very professional and wonderful at communicating what he'll be doing, the cost and the time it will take to be completed.
We can always count on him to do a great job at a very reasonable rate.

Lovett Plumbing is fantastic. Our hot water went out Saturday morning and my husband and I were concerned that we wouldn't be able to get anyone until Monday. We called Lovett and left a message Saturday afternoon, they called back in less than 5 minutes and then Charlie was there in under 2 hours! He diagnosed the problem immediately, explained to us what went wrong, and fixed it on the spot. He was super friendly and very professional. The price was fair and reasonable, especially given the immediacy of response and quality work performed. To have the problem resolved less than two hours after our initial phone call on a weekend is pretty amazing. We will definitely be using Lovett again for our future needs.

We love Lovett! Charlie was called on at the last minute to do a gas stove reconnect when another contractor had an emergency. Not only did he help us find a great solution for the old gas pipe fitting--he did a fantastic job making it all work. He charged us a very reasonable price for an unbelievably great job--far better than we ever expected.

I've called Charlie in for a number of small plumbing jobs and he's always been able to get the work done quickly and at a good price. He's replaced my disposal, re-routed some pipes in my basement, and installed an exterior faucet. Each job was done on the same day I called him.
