My house has an uncanny habit of things breaking down after hours and on weekends, which is why I pay $23/month for Gene Love's Forever Fixed Plan. In fact, it's really the the only reason I have their service plan is for the 24/7 emergency service. This is the second time I've tried using it and this is the second time they've refused to come out. This time, their """"on call"""" guy (Corey, according to the call service) hasn't even bothered to call me back. In the meantime, it's about 60 degrees in my house, I haven't slept most the night, and my layers are wearing layers. I'm calling tomorrow to cancel the service plan and will go with another company.

CROOKS! If you want to pay high prices go with Gene Love. If you want to get just as good of service for a fraction of the price Call Around and you'll find more affordable options! They charged me $65 to come out and look, then quoted me $850 to change out a meter panel and made it sound like they were doing me this huge favor on a Saturday afternoon that no one else would do. Luckily I called around and found Tucker Electric out of Elgin. They were there within an hour and charged me $160 for the exact same service and even sent 2 guys instead of 1. Gene Love could have charged me half of what they quoted and I probably would have done it and they would of still made good money but instead they tried to take advantage of the situation and now all they get out of it is a bad review.

First experience was good when replacing a toilet in guest bathroom. Joined the """"service plan"""" for a monthly fee. Rarely showed up during the 4 hour wait window. Always short on service technicians. Plumbing """"inspection"""" turned out to be a sales pitch for $3,500. to replace all the pipes in the home, which was not needed. What I wanted repaired was blown off and I was told to go to the hardware store myself by the young man. HVAC went last night (Saturday, 6.29.24) and I was told they could get to me Wednesday. In 90+ degree heat. Seriously? Service plan canceled. Never again will I use them. DO NOT recommend them whatsoever.

I wish I could give no stars. There is not enough space to detail all of the """"incidents"""" that have occurred while having HVAC installed. Sewer line mysteriously becomes detached, left me with a gas leak that was only discovered because i had to call them back out for something else they failed to do. Mysterious loss of power in my garage. Communication is a complete failure. Did i forget to mention their own tech discovered issues with a previous techs work that now needs to be fixed. Do not let these people in your home!

I signed up for the Plumbing membership and they were to come out and do an inspection on my house. I scheduled this 3 times and they never came. On each scheduled visit, they did not show, nor did they call to advise. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

My experiences have been mixed. In the past I had nothing but great experiences. This March (2020) I contacted Love for an estimate to repair an upstairs bathroom leak which had ruined my kitchen ceiling. The plumber Love sent out told me he would have to cut out more of the kitchen ceiling (to be fair, it was already ruined) and the cost for the estimate would increase to $235. I asked the plumber to forward the final estimate to USAA and gave him all of the contacct information. He refused and said he would only send it to my e-mail address. The estimate consisted of different options...not really helpful as I am not a professional plumber. My next-door neighbor is very well versed in plumbing and told me that replacing the tub water stems could fix the problem. I called Love back and they sent out Kris Elkins who fixed the problem...replacing the stems at a very reasonable price. Mr. Elkins was friendly, professional, and efficient. The reason that I awarded 3 rather than 5 stars is due to the poor service I received during the estimate service call...$235 for three minutes of cutting ceiling drywall, without useful information...and for Love never calling me back after attempts made to communicate with them were unsuccessful. All I want is most of my estimate service refunded...and I am concerned about not being able to contact Love about this issue. Their website only allows scheduling.

This is total exploitation I asked Love's Plumbing to come out to drop a faucet to connect a existing gas line which involves screwing one in to the stove and one end into the gas line on a stove and a dryer that's it and change out the little drain screw it out screw back in these people wanted $1,024 to do this I don't know whether they said oh poor black person they are meant to be explored it we all know that this is embarrassing....this is a 45 minute job.... then the plumber is going to explain to me how they're liable for the work and that's why the charges are so expensive as if I don't know what bonded and licensed means...... I am so tired of black people being treated as if they don't deserve better!!!

So I had an appointment with both the electrical and the plumbing side. Called on a Saturday around noon. Was told plumber would be there that day by 5:30. At 7:30 I didn't hear anything, so I called and was told they would be out as the first job on Sunday. That got pushed back until 4:30 then push again until Tuesday. Job finally got completed on Thursday and I think we were overcharged. Electrician showed up on Thursday as well, after initially being told they would be there on Tuesday. Wanted to charge us over $4300 and gave us no alternative options. Got a second opinion and had it fixed for under $175.00 (That is why I feel we got ripped off on the plumbing side). So poor rating due to multiple missed appointments, poor communication, high rates and over inflated estimates.

HORRIBLE customer service when I was trying to contact them about being over charged. You will pay them almost 500$ for them to com to your house and do the bare minimum. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND YOUR MONEY.
