My experience with Lords of Plumbing was a great one! I called to have my bathroom sink unclogged and it turned out they could come by that hour which was amazing as I was preparing the house for guests arriving in the afternoon. It was a fast/easy/simple fix and our technician was super cool and knowledgable. He gave us some good tips before he departed and even helped us fix our heater which was on the fritz for no extra charge. I would definitely use these guys again in the future!

I chose Lords of Plumbing due to their good yelp reviews, but unfortunately I could not have had a much worse experience with this company and their admin procedures.

The guy who I believe to be the owner, Manuel, came to our house to inspect a couple of toilets and promised a quote/estimate to be emailed the following day (with work completed at a later date as well). The invoice was never sent, and I even followed up 3x, speaking with him personally to get this quote, and each time he promised to send it the next day - failing to ever deliver.

Additionally, Manuel was rude, curt and unfriendly on these 3 follow up occasions over the phone. I needed the estimate to provide the city of Santa Monica proof of a leak so we could be reimbursed by them by a certain deadline. Thanks to the major Lords of Plumbing fail, I wasn't able to make this deadline and received no money back...and the work was never done. I really don't know why they didn't want this business. SMH

Called to setup appointment to fix drinking water line from kitchen sink to refrigerator. They took info and let me speak to plumber who explained price and options. Setup appointment for next day. Technician arrived right on time and completed job quickly and honestly. Great experience and fantastic quality service. Recommend them on all levels of performance start to finish.

Yeah, these guys are pretty much the bees knees.

I don't disbelieve the couple of one-star reviews and then the slew of 5-star ones. I've had a couple less-than-perfect interactions with them, but when things drop off the edge they are diligent about getting them back on track. And with the couple of one-star experiences noted here, you can read between the lines that this is the case, even here. The reviewer in both cases just happens to be so mad that they can't quite see that while stuff does happen sometimes, it's to their own benefit to take a deep breath and let these guys try to apologize: they are trying.

My own experiences have been many-many and I have to say, they are just totally real. I suppose that's what they mean by ""honest"". I'd term it ""genuine"". They're just real guys doing a somewhat icky job sometimes, and they don't care, they're just trying to get it done and done well and quickly and cost-effectively. It doesn't get better than that except for the capacity to ""make up"" when things go south, and that's there too.

For example, ""everyone"" was out of town during the summer recently when I got a call at the last minute from another tradesman who wanted to swing by but needed the plumber to be there in advance of him. This message didn't quite make it through in the absence of the regular scheduler, leaving several people nearly stuck-up-a-creek, as it were. I managed to reach Daniel who was totally off the clock, but actually swung by my house to do the job quickly simply because he is a good guy who didn't want to leave me in the lurch, not even his problem -- he was completely unaware of and uninvolved with the original quashed promise. He left his private creative time to rescue me from a broken promise made be a co-worker. Wow.

I was so surprised to answer the door and find him there. And I have to say if the owner, Trevor, reads this: that guy is as primo an employee as anyone could ever find: a Real Lord, a gem. As is, for that matter, Trevor himself: Lords they are (and I write that as one who really is irked by the name for no good reason).

I can't recommend these guys highly-enough. They're not perfect, as none of us is. But their service strives to be as perfect in real-time as possible. It's really a relief to know these guys are out there.
