I called to schedule someone to come at look at our kitchen sink drain. Extremely friendly customer service and kept me up to date throughout the declogging process. Very good work and very reasonably priced. I cancelled an appointment with another company after not having a good feeling about things and decided to call Long's. So glad I did. When I called they had the availability to have someone to come over within 30 minutes. I wasn't home but able to schedule something for the next day. Long's plumber called me an hour earlier than the planned timeframe to tell me he had finished another job early and was available. This never happens! Plumbing issues can be stressful but Long's was absolutely great. Highly recommend!! I wish I remembered the plumber's name!

My furnace stopped working on Christmas Eve. The gentleman (Jeff) from Long's who came out to fix my furnace responded quickly. He was so extremely kind and understanding. He worked hard at repairing my furnace so this didn't happen again. I am so grateful to Jeff for his service and for his quick response. Long's is now my go to for all my furnace and plumbing needs.

My furnace stopped working last Friday afternoon when the temp was below freezing. I called and I got immediate help! Jeff was wonderful! He located the problem, installed a new motor and my furnace is working perfectly! This was the best service call I've ever had. The price was good too! I will call Longs for all my heating and plumbing from now on!

I do not recommend Longs unless you know specifically what you want and are a builder/designer. They are not for consumers who want to upgrade a room. They are not friendly and frankly I felt they just wanted me out of the store. One example, I was given advice on a faucet from them and when it was determined it was not going to available for 3-4 months, I asked for something similar. The front desk person just sifted through a delta catalog to see what faucet was available, not one that fits our design preferences, etc. (Note: I was able to find the faucet at Lowes and delivered within 3 weeks).

I get that they might not keep stock on hand but I should not be shuffled through each faucet in a catalog to give me what delta has in stock at that time. It was rude and I felt demeaned because this is now how I wanted to get my room designed.

A second example was for the 2nd bathroom for a quote for shower doors (European style). In the initial quote, we got a quote for regular shower doors. When I figured out that this was for regular doors, I asked for a requote. So, I set up an appointment for them to come out a 2nd time. However, a few hours later, another person from the store left a message on my phone with a quote that was over double. Needless to say, they didn't even do the order correctly the first time, they were inconveniencing me with their person to come out again but then also giving me a quote without even getting the order right in the first place. It seemed to me their back office and front office don't even talk.

It had nothing to do with the money but I lost complete trust that they even care to do a good, quality job. So, I cancelled the appointment and will not be calling them again.

We want to fully support small business but not Longs after giving numerous chances. Who knows?

We've had great luck with Long Plumbing. This time we had a leak in an upstairs bathroom faucet that is rarely used so while we had to wait over a week for a visit, that worked out fine. Jason came in this morning (on time) fixed the faucet quickly and also fixed a similar problem with a dripping faucet in our kitchen. He was super nice and was in and out in a flash; both problems solved. Will definitely use them the next time.

We just moved to Northville, and needed new toilets and a back up sump pump. Darren installed all of them and he was very professional and courteous. Great customer service and reasonable pricing. I would highly recommend Long's Plumbing.

Our sump pump failed (including the back up) and we had about an inch of water in our basement. I called Long's Plumbing and they said they could get here next week, I said we can't wait that long so she put me on hold for a few minutes and told me someone would be here this afternoon, schedule dependent. In 20 minutes I received a call from the installer (Darren, really good guy) and he showed up in 10 minutes. From initial phone call to Long's to installation it was less than an hour, where do you find that kind of service these days? Also the price was very reasonable and I considered it fair. Long's is now my Heating, Plumbing and A/C company forever.

We had a furnace issue, allegedly under warranty with different HVAC/plumbing company because a repair they did a year ago already failed, that resulted in a frozen pipe issue when the other company didn't respond to the furnace issue for over 24 hours. After getting a very, very high initial quote to help thaw our pipes from the first company, and their backtracking on the warranty component once it turned into a bigger repair issue, we decided to go a different direction and called Long's. They had someone out to our house within 90 minutes of our call. The frozen pipe issue was assessed and addressed, and thankfully we (as of right now - keep your fingers crossed this remains true) do not have a split in the pipes that froze. The plumbing professional who came to our house, Jeff M., turned our water back on because the pipes thawed in the interim and he then checked throughout the house for signs of a leak first with lower pressure through the system then with full pressure. He stayed for a while after, double checking the spots where we think the freeze may have occurred, to ensure that the issue appeared to remain resolved. We asked for a quote for the same thawing process we looked into, and Long's pricing is far more competitive than the other company we initially tried to work with and Long's customer service much more friendly. I would call Long's again without hesitation (but hope I don't have to anytime soon). Thank you for helping put our minds at ease so quickly!

Called to have someone come to my home for quote. They claim this company does not come to Wayne, MI. I find it odd considering I seen one of their trucks in Wayne, MI which is how I found the company in the first place. Their yelp page says they service Northville and surrounding area and Wayne is shaded on their map. I find this very interesting...

Great company. This business has been around in the Northville area for years. They have plumbing and hvac services as well as a retail store. I know Jay a plumber at Long has done great work for us in our home. I have referee him to other people. Their prices are reasonable and the service is great. Highly recommend.
