We hired Long Island Marble Dusting to resurface our Gunite pool and I really don't understand the bad reviews on here. I'm sorry the others may have had a bad experience but all I can say is they were great. I do know that there is another company in Suffolk that tries to steal their business by using their name for jobs. I did get bids from the other company and others and knew right away they were trouble. We had Blake and his crew at our house for the whole job and they went above and beyond for us. This is a huge job and they could have cut corners but if they saw something questionable they fixed it. They basically broke out the whole older surface because he felt it was the right thing to do rather than just patch hollow spots here and there. These guys worked so hard. The end result was amazing and you can see it in the pics. Out of all the Suffolk companies I would not ever use anyone else.

I'm looking to resurface my gunite pool called them and was asked to send photos. I don't think a photograph is a good indicator of the pool and necessary work. Should have offered to set up an appointment. Reviews for this company were not positive so I'll keep looking.

The women that works in the office in huntington is an owner along with her husband. She pretends not to be to gain your trust when signing up for a Long Island marble dusting contract. She says things like ""I'll have to ask the owner""

When they start the work, she is no longer your best friend but now she is a bulldog. she never comes to your house personally just relies on her son in law (who has no experience). To tell her what's happening on the job. The son in law is marring into the family who owns the business. He runs the jobs with several workers more skilled then him. He doesn't know what is what. He typically leaves the job at 12pm because his dog is sick or he and his wife are looking for a house. if you have questions about the work being done, they don't want you to talk to the skilled workers because you may share the details of your $$ contract with them and they are so underpaid, they may get upset. They also have several other interesting characters who are somehow related but have no business being there. if you can't tell already you don't want to use this company. I know marble dust companies are few and far between but use the next one you find because this is a circus that you won't be happy with.

Initial contact was good. I was pressured into paying down payment immediately in the fall to guarantee my job would be one of the first in the spring. It was all downhill from there. Our job didn't start until mid June, months after promised. The communication was awful and rude. Company blamed everything on others including me who had paid in the fall and was simply awaiting job to be done. If I asked any questions I was harassed for asking. They demanded full payment when the job was only half done. The rudest, unreliable customer service I have ever had to deal with in my 26 years of owning a home.

We were very satisfied and impressed with the job Long Island Marble Dusting did on our pool. Miss Kathy and the team were exceptional and professional. We even added tile to the pool with the help of the company and they were very helpful in guiding us through the process of the marble dusting. They were quick at fitting us in their busy schedule as well. The quality of the work was excellent and they repaired any holes and updated the drain covers and pool equipment for a very reasonable price. The also did a good job in cleaning up during the job and after. Our pool looks brand new again and no issues. We would highly recommend this company for pool marble dusting.

I have never reviewed a company on yelp or anywhere else before, but Long Island Marble Dusting did such a great job on my pool that I felt I had to let the world know what a great company this is!! My pool was in terrible shape and I needed it refinished in time for my daughter's engagement party in our backyard. Not only did they come when they said they would, but everyone involved was a pro!! They worked quickly and efficiently and left my yard neat and clean. They left me clear instructions on how to care for the pool after the work was complete, and followed up with several phone calls to make sure I understood them and was satisfied with the job! Kathy is very knowledgeable and truly a pleasure to deal with. My pool looks beautiful now and I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs their pool refinished!!
