I called on a Sunday, as the heat had gone out Saturday. Within 30 minutes I had a return call from a technician (Jordy?) who said he'd be right over. He was here in about 70 minutes (fair enough, I live ~30 minutes east.)

He was polite, efficient, corrected the problem, and gave me sound advice. Despite the several negative Yelp reviews (I called Long because the Google reviews were mostly positive, and because they are specialists in the Heat/air system we have.) I am quite glad I was able to see past the many negative reviews (though, knock on word, my furnace didn't require a significant repair.)

The person who initially took my call, also, was very polite and professional. Btw, the charge per hour on a Sunday, was $225. I am not made of money, but I thought that was quite fair (have you ever called a plumber on a Sunday?)

I am likely to become a regular Long Energy customer.

First the good part. They came out to do repair work when other companies were to busy to, unless I was a current customer, which I was not. Next, the service technician was very friendly and helpful. Now for the not so good part. The average price markup on parts for this type of company is about 100%, which I expected, however, Long charged me 500% on one part and 400% on the second part. I asked them what the average price markup on their parts was and they said about 100% average. When I asked to have it reviewed as to why is was so much higher than 100%, they told me they would check into it. A week later they came back with that they could not help me in any price reduction whatsoever, with no explanation of why they had gouged me so much. It's sad that they had no legitimate answer, except that this is what happened to me and they were sorry. Yeah, right!

They responded promptly to my quote request. I did follow up on receiving the quote after 5 days, and have decided to hold tight since the quote was surprisingly high.

We just moved into a new home and purchased the credit the previous owner had with long. Well long made us fill out their credit application and said they would transfer the credit, never did and then sent a check back to the previous owner who had already been paid that money at closing. After that without being told or ever asked if we wanted autofil they filled our tanks when we did not want them filled. Told my husband they would not take us off autofill and that he was lying about the rate he said the previous owners contract was locked in at. When we then had their tanks replaced by a different company Long came and picked up our two FULL tanks and refuse to give us the money back for the propane in the tanks. They have been nothing but nasty, rude, unprofessional and they are thieves. I suggest to everyone I know and come in contact with to NEVER use this company.

I asked Long for a quote on a furnace. I received one. Upon calling back to move forward with installation, I was told the furnace quote was contingent on becoming a fuel customer. I had my propane tank filled this week for at least $0.60 less than what Long was quoting. That would easily add $1,000 to my fuel bill for the year, which they were looking to lock in. At no point, until I was ready to move forward with the new furnace, was I told about the requirement to be a fuel customer. This company wasted my time when I desperately need a new furnace for the winter.

We called Long Energy yesterday because our current propane supplier was no longer providing reliable customer service. (We were nearly out of propane.) We spoke with Mike R. who was extremely helpful. He arranged for a team of his to replace our previous vendor's tanks with theirs and deliver the propane that we needed with a total turnaround time of less that 24 hours. We have several neighbors (and a relative) who also use Long Energy as their propane supplier and are very pleased. We are as well. Clearly, this company understands the importance of good customer service!

Easy to talk to office personnel (ie Donna) over the phone, easy to work and get deliveries, ( ie Mike )-- My Mom is a new customer now because of all the qualities Long's Staff possesses. Well done team. Thank you for making it easy to get the services we need.

During a very cold SUNDAY this past winter, we experienced a ""puff back"" (A puff back is a misfiring in the furnace that can send soot throughout your home, covering drapes, bedding, furniture, cabinets, walls, and everything in between. It requires expensive cleaning and restoration in addition to repairs on your heating system). We called Long Energy. Within an hour, The owner was here and temporarily repaired our heat so we could stay warm until Monday when a full team of technicians came and took over to begin the process of determining exactly what went wrong and how to repair/replace.
The service people, the office staff and the owner took great care of us and also worked out a problem created by another company Family Danz. They really messed up a simple water heater installation that caused a ripple effect of problems.

I highly recommend Long Energy.

Three time promised delivery and three times company was a no show. Always say ""your fuel is on the truck for delivery tomorrow"" and then do not show up or call. Bob Juliano, the sales manager, promises great prices and service but delivers nothing.

If you want fuel actually delivered when they say they will, use someone else.
