Raj T.Bob's the best and always so kind and efficient. I would recommend JJ Loftus for anything plumbing, piping and water related in your homes.
I was surprised to see how few reviews there are here. I noticed when I was looking up their address to recommend them to a friend. We have used JJ Loftus for over 20 years. They have done everything from plumbing related to our steam heat in our old home in Winchester to installing appliances in our new townhouse in Reading. They are 100% reliable and stand by their work. They are also very pleasant to deal with -- they don't act like they are doing us a favor by taking our jobs.
J J Loftus installed a new faucet on the outside of my house today. Mike did a wonderful job. He was polite, professional and pleasant and explained exactly what he was doing. I was glad to learn that J J Loftus is still doing residential work, as I had read online a while ago that they were only doing commercial jobs. They do both residential and commercial plumbing jobs. I have used J J Loftus for many years, and they have always done a great job, and I feel they are dependable and charge a fair price. Dave has done numerous jobs on my house through the years, and I highly recommend both Mike and Dave at J J Loftus.
Good company for you expensive plumbing needs. The smaller jobs they tell you to beat it. I will never use them again! Thanks for leaving me hanging!
Paul A.Is it accessibility to the car to get things out after it was totaled. Quick response.
Sophia L.The management of property I live in scheduled this company to come in to look at a leak. Dave came wearing a mask (as this is during Covid-19) and was very insightful and polite. He listened to what I'd observed and followed it through the building to make sense of the situation. He brought in equipment to help minimize the mess (eg a rug to catch the filings). I spoke with Cindy as well, and both of them were consistently professional and knowledgeable.
Our church has used Loftus Plumbing for years for all of our plumbing work. When we had to replace a child-size toilet, Jim even researched ADA and education compliance issues for us. He gave us a very comprehensive quote for that project. For smaller projects, he usually doesn't need to give us the whole quote. One phone conversation, and he has given me an estimated cost that is never outrageous. He is occasionally more expensive than other companies I have called, but I know I can trust his work, which is worth the additional cost. He is always my first call, and usually my only call.
Sadly, they lost the guy who specialized in the residential work a while back. I guess he was in a bad car accident and messed up his back. But, I had to leave a review when I saw the negative ones. They beat the competitors' prices in some areas, and are more expensive in others. Sometimes you get what you pay for. The owner will only install the upper quality items, like boilers and what not because they warranty their work and don't want to install cheap crap they know will break. I have been using them for years and will continue to do so. The office woman (whose name I can't remember) is competent, as my messages always get passed on to the technicians. And the guys Mark and Dave are great. They have some a new guy that I haven't really seen in action yet, but maybe they will start doing residential work again. Anyway, they work for my commercial needs.
I should add that they are one of the ONLY companies that will give prices for many things right over the phone. Other companies try to get a tech out to pressure you into stuff. I have had more than one experience where I got one quote but ended up paying much more because ""problems"" crept out. They might be a little higher on the front end on some things, but you end up saving later.
Also note that Jim P. had them do work previously and was going to call them again until they couldn't provide him service. He was obviously satisfied until he got annoyed. The have no BBB complaints. That should tell you something.
This company feels like they are the only plumbing option in a wide circle . Expensive and not office friendly . Who needs that .Look elsewhere .
Wont use them again. When they asked me where I lived they said they dont do residential work. Pretty funny because they are the ones who did the work before. maybe they were too busy which is fine, but when work get slow for them I am sure they will be looking for residential work.
