American Home Shield (AHS) assigned Lockhart Plumbing in the Petersburg, VA area--a company with a long list of negative reviews. I didn't allow them to perform any work. They came out, assessed the issue, and said it was a simple faucet replacement. After a full week of waiting and asking for updates, they suddenly told AHS that the water lines would need to be modified--an obvious and unnecessary attempt to price gouge. I had to laugh. I told them I wouldn't allow them to modify anything in my home. Faucet replacements are simple, and if I were local, I would've done it myself.

I immediately informed AHS about Lockhart Plumbing and told them I would be finding a different company to handle my home warranty moving forward. AHS then offered to pay me out so I could hire someone else to complete the replacement.

I originally gave this vendor a 1-star review due to a financial issue I had, where I was double charged for the same service and had not received a refund. Although it took some time, the issue has now been resolved. Because of that, I'm updating my review to 5 stars to help balance out their score. My concerns were never about the quality of their work--it was about their business practices and ethics. I'm glad this was ultimately resolved.

AHS sent Billy from Lockhart out to fix my garbage disposal. He fixed it quickly and gave me some useful pointers that I didn't not know.

Had Lockhart Plumbing come out to fix a leaking pipe... They dismantled my shower and left ""to pick up a part"" and didn't show back up until 2 weeks later. Multiple phone calls and emails went unanswered.

2 WEEKS LATER they finally fixed my shower. Months later I found out that the pipe they ""fixed"" was leaking all over my AC unit which ended up costing me $600.

I called the manager to complain about this and they tried pulling the cancer card. Oh the technician ""has cancer"" and it must have been on a day he wasn't feeling right. BS

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Great company has done so much to help improve my home and this is my go to plumbing. Faith based, gives back to the community and the work is top notch. Very Reasonable. David the owner is a stand up guy, he is not out to take your money he saves you money.

Had a leak and the tech assigned arrived on time. Got the issue fixed, cleaned up and was out, all really quickly.

Was assigned this company through American Home Shield for a stoppage in tub's water supply line. Matthew did repair the blockage, however he left a constant water drip. I called to inform him of the issue, he confirmed an appointment time. Let's just say Matthew was a no call, no show. I've called several times with no response. I even inform him via text that I will be contacting AHS with no response...

I would not allow this company to enter my home again. Half doing the job is unsatisfactory. AHS should hold them accountable and remove their contract...

Lockhart was supposed to install my water heater 3 months ago and they have yet to do so. They came out once and now I can't even get them to return a phone call. My home warranty company assigned them to me and will not give me a another contractor. I am dropping the home warranty company and Lockhart. I just keep getting the runaround. Such poor customer service.

Terrible. Pockets warranty money while purchasing cheap subpar components under the guise of that is what the warranty company authorized. Charges what is nations highest per hour rates, while driving a Tesla to worksites. Decided to steal a component from uninstalled item. Warranty company has launched an investigation at this point.

Lockhart Plumbing was assigned by American Home Shield to fixed my water heater back in June 2021. Initially I was told that AHS did not have to water heater shipped to a warehouse for pick up. I was recently informed by the home warranty company that someone from Lockhart had received the water heater to install in my home some months back. After making countless number of calls to American Home Shield pleading for someone to come to my home to fix my water heater . I was told that Lockhart was originally assigned to fix the water heater, so this company had to complete the job. AHS would call while I was on the line and not get a response. They also told me they emailed the company several times. I was able to reach the owner after serval attempts and the owner promised me that he would correct this and take care of the problem. Needless to say it is now November 2021 and my water heater has not been replaced. My calls are not answer when I call Lockhart and no return calls from messages left. The only word that could explain how this is allowed to go on for months unresolved is SHAMEFUL.
