Note: This review is in reference to David's work.
I normally do not write reviews on yelp but my experience today warrants the effort. I cracked a PVC pipe outside my home last night that connects to anti-siphon valves on the side of the house. Since I do not have a valve to isolate the water to the house from the outside irrigation, I had to shut off the water to the house. This became an immense inconvenience as you can imagine.
I left a message with Local Rooter early in the morning and got a call back for a visit around 10AM. David called at 9 and said he could come over. He was very courteous, polite, professional, and clearly knowledgeable. To make a long story not that long, David dug through dirt, cut and measured PVC piping, and wrestled with our irrigation system for hours in the sun. At the end of it all, he shared a lot of inside advice and knowledge with us to ensure we understood the system and how to trouble shoot it in the future. He even stayed and tried to help me with a sprinkler I was having issues with at no extra charge. His cost estimate was 100% spot on when it was all said and done and he was very professional throughout.
Very communicative and catering, David wasvphenomenal. So far, the pipes are still going strong and I will not hesitate to recommend him or ask for him by name for our future plumbing needs. On top of that, he made sure to make sure we got a 1 year warranty on his work.
Thank you David!

I had a 9pm emergency and called Local Rooter & Plumbing. David was fantastic, I really appreciated how quickly he showed up and his attention to details.

I called this afternoon told them my issue. Got a quote.
Then I called again after 4 pm to let them know my status of my clogged bathtub. Reasonable price. Tech Trieu came and assess the situation. He went to check main sewer all good . Crawled under the the house to assess. Came out and let me know what he saw. Shocking pictures of warnings but very good on analyzing. Did not find no root cause under the house. Gave his price and was very reasonable. Trieu is very good and entertaining. He gets the job done. Thank you very much. A 5 rating from me.

I flushed my keys down the toilet. After many attempts to fish them out with my hands and a coat hanger, I realized I needed a plumber to work their magic. Trieu showed up within an hours notice on a Wednesday afternoon. He had to lift the toilet to get the keys, but the work he put into removing the toilet, retrieving the keys, and installing the toilet/wax ring was efficient. More importantly, it was on short notice at a really critical point. If you need a last minute life-saving plumbing job, I recommend this service.

We recently hired Kim Vo to install a 40 gallon water softener for us. We found him through Yelp and was glad we made the decision to work with him.
We wanted the interior and exterior water to be separated so that only the inside of the house gets the soft water and the water outside of the house remains untouched. Kim visually and physically assessed the existing pipes and told us that he suspects the current setup would allow for it. He crawled underneath the crawlspace to make sure his suspicions were correct. Sure enough, he was right.
We were fortunate that we didn't have to reconfigure the pipes, which would have increased the costs and the completion time. Kim proceeded with the installation, which includes adding a shutoff value and drain pipe and setting up and configuring the unit. When he was done, I inspected his work and tested the water softener. The installation was fine and everything worked flawlessly. I was really impressed by the quality of his work and the pride he had in it.
Overall, we had a great experience working with Kim. We find him to be friendly, professional, trustworthy and reliable. We can count on him to produce quality work at a competitive price, and plan to use him again in the future for all of our plumbing needs.

I called them on a Sunday about a leaky dishwasher drain. They were the only plumber who agreed to come that day. They fixed the leak, but said three valves needed to be replaced as well, which I agreed to with some doubt (up sell?). A few days later, I noticed a new leak directly under the sink, which I believe was caused by replacing all the valves. They came back, but charged me again, stating it was unrelated to their prior work... BS!
Again the sink leaked. They came out a third time, fortunately there was no charge, even when they replaced a part under the sink.
It was annoying that it required three visits and I feel I paid way too much. But, it works great now and they were very timely, courtesy and professional throughout the whole process.
I would consider calling them again, but only on a Sunday when all the other plumbers in town are at church.

David did an excellent job clearing our clogged pipes. After we failed to plunge out the problem and only made things worse, we called Local Rooter very late at 11:45pm on Monday and left them our address via text. He promptly arrived within 30 minutes. David immediately diagnosed how to fix the problem. Because the clog was impossible to reach via a snake- no convenient cleanouts, he climbed to our roof (in pitch dark) and used a hydrajet hose through air duct access to the pipes. David was extremely knowledgable, courteous and thorough in his work. Most impressed. We would call again in the future.

Cannot be happier with their customer service and quality of work. We called them at 8:30 AM on a SUNDAY and one of their guys actually answered the phone and a technician was at our home in 20 min! Our shower faucet had been leaking water over the past month and suddenly the small leak became more like a waterfall which necessitated us to shut off the entire water line to our house. David arrived promptly and was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us two possible options to fix the issue and gave us his professional opinion (which ended up saving us money). The shower is in perfect working order now, and we're glad it was a painless and positive experience thanks to these guys. We have already recommended them to our friends!

BAIT N SWITCH, $200 (50%) MORE EXPENSIVE.
I've dealt with many plumbers, appliance repairmen, handymen, etc. and this company is by far the worst ever and super shady.
I called for an estimate on sink and faucet replacement and was told $175. Paul calls about 1.5 hours before his appointment and says he needs to come now so I rush back without even completing my grocery shopping. He then tells me the quote is actually $600 ($175 for faucet removal, $175 for sink replacement, and $250 if I want to keep my garbage disposal).
This bait n switch tactic is pretty typical for this company (do yourself a favor and sort their Yelp reviews by lowest first and you'll see that a lot of women have been taken advantage of this way).
This was the most expensive quote I got - $500 from a handyman who subcontracts to a plumber and $400 from Plumbing Guys. So had they just been honest with me over the phone, we would not have wasted anyone's time.
The worst part is that Paul then agreed that if I paid $300 in cash (which I did not have at the time), he could come back and do the job. So I took time off from work, but he NEVER SHOWED UP!

I called this company at around 3:00 pm on a friday and was told that the technician will be there by 4:00 pm. He did not show up until 4:30 pm. The person taking the call was nice and gave me a $10 discount at $155 to clear the kitchen sink. I told him that it is on the first floor, but the building is on a slope and in back is a garage. I asked about the guarantee and was told 30 days which is pretty standard. So far so good.
I had the misfortunate of being sent Trieu. He looked at the problem and said it will be $185. After a call to the office guy, it was agreed at $175. Then I mentioned the guarantee. Trieu gave me a song and dance about car repairs and said there is no guarantee because he doesn't know the condition of the pipes. By this time he had already mentioned that I should get someone else to do the job twice. (On a friday afternoon?) Then I said, ""Go ahead"" meaning go ahead to do the job. He did not like my attitude and did not want to clear the drain. He did not like me saying, ""Go ahead"". When I tried to call the office guy to verify that he did say the guarantee is 30 days, he had already left for the day. I had to inconvenient my tenant to make a call to another plumbing company.
The office guy and technician should have a united front and be consistent.
