After getting the runaround from my home warranty, American home shield, to fix a shower drain, I reached out to a number of plumbing services on Yelp. Local Drain Specialist responded promptly and was most the reasonably priced. I sent pictures of the drain and description of the problem, Local Drain Specialist assured that it was a common issue and did not need all the services that my home warranty was trying to upsell to me. We scheduled an appointment for that week. Local Drain Specialist arrived on time and got to work. They fixed the drain issue and made sure the shower was draining properly. I will definitely be reaching out to them for future needs. I highly recommend.

Woke up to a cold Water Heater with a malfunctioning gas valve.

Hopped on Yelp at about 7 AM for recommendations and Yelp's system recommend 5 local services.

The remaining two engaged via my chosen platform and Romeo was by far the most responsive. (still waiting quotes from the other)

We worked through the issue, discussed repair options (this part was under warranty but would take several days if i took that route) and chose to go ahead with the repair not using the warranty.

Within 4 hours, Local Drain Specialists had acquired the part and Carlos (and helpers) arrived at my place to start the install before noon.

Carlos was very thorough and obviously had a good eye for this work. He professionally replaced the defective part, flushed my system, and answered any questions I had with the appropriate amount of technical detail I wanted.

I ABSOLUTELY will have Local Drain Specialists on my short list next time i need plumbing / drain work done.

Update: The system failed again shortly after Carlos left, i contacted him and he immediacy contacted the vendor for additional information and found another potential fix that was masked by the failure of the primary part. He immediately made an 1 hour drive to get the proper part and installed it with no additional charge.

Came home from church to find that the compression valve from the copper pipe for my toilet tank had come loose and my second floor bathroom & bedroom was flooding.

I used the Emergency Notice through Yelp and the first ones to arrive was Carlos of Local Drain Specialist. He brought up his tools, walked into the water soaked carpet with his socks, and connected the valve in just a few minutes.

Very fast, friendly and professional. So thankful they came when they did. Literally, a God-send! I will be calling them back to replace my broken water shut off valve.
