I can recognize a superior plumber who offers exemplary service because I've hired really bad plumbers in Hawaii; guys who try to rip you off and charge crazy prices for simple tasks, always upcharging and overcharging, under estimating time, argumentative and those who rarely did what they promised. Let me say that Layne Howard from LNH was a breath of fresh air. For starters, he answered his phone. Followed by he answered his phone on a weekend. Followed by he answered his phone on a weekend after hours. He also showed up on time. Quoted me a reasonable fee, too, and stuck to this fee. He also figured out why we had a problem with our existing toilet that we replaced, and he fixed the bad washer that wasn't allowing it to fill promptly. Also replaced a broken flange. And for all of this, it was still under $200. He showed up when he said he would, and he's an all around decent kinda guy. No wonder he won Best of West Hawaii Today in 2020 for plumbing. Will hire LNH again in a heartbeat!!
