I would give a null star score if it.

I hired Living Waters Plumbing and Mechanical to winterize my plumbing in Fairbanks. The technician they dispatched looked to know that winterizing requires just pouring antifreeze into the drains, this means clearing the system of water first, then pumping antifreeze, etc.

The Living Waters guy arrived and made an effort to just pour antifreeze into the sinks and toilets, blended in with the water that was still remaining.

Consequently, I was forced to hire a capable plumber to effectively do the job.

Living Waters assumes they can invoice me for this poor service, but they are mistaken.

As of February 2024, I experienced significant boiler issues in -20° weather in Anchorage. The only company that provided help was Living Waters Plumbing and Mechanical. I was impressed by their service on many fronts. First, they effectively handled all my issues. They repaired my broken boiler, fixed the burst pipes, and thawed everything!

On the phone, Jeffery was always composed and shared important information. Their technicians were very knowledgeable, accommodating, and patient. I feel fortunate to have this team for my boiler and water heater needs in the future! You will be glad you contacted this company.

I hired this plumbing company. The technician, while he was courteous and helpful, took a long time to finish the tasks, and additionally had to figure out how to handle a simple task, which added to the duration. I would consider this indicative of someone new to the trade, and as a result, I ended up paying more due to the extra time he used.

The rates they charge are quite steep. In addition, they repeatedly called or emailed me to inquire about performing some additional work, which I had no desire for. I finally had to tell them to cease all communications. Their attempts to reach me felt excessive. I would never use them again.

The price of $500 an hour for a weekend service call caught me off guard. That seems unreasonable to me. It's wise to shop around . I discovered a service for $250 .

I kept hearing the commercial on the Radio that proclaims "Keep in mind the name, Living Waters, Living Waters...." Thus I called them. I was given a plumbing quote to re-replumb our four-unit building in the southern part of Anchorage for $7,200 given it was a project expected to take 3 to 4 days for 2 people.

A representative named Jeffrey picked up the call. I requested a quote, and the first thing that struck me as odd is he says, "I'm uncertain if there will be a charge for the estimate, but someone can check it out soon." In my experience, I've never paid for an estimate.

Just 12 minutes later, he returned my call. He informed me he had consulted with his supervisor and had a preliminary quote for me. He wanted to know how many fixtures were in my apartment. I answered, “Seventeen”. He stated, “Ok, he was Right on then - It will be right at $80,000.” I was shocked, but I thought he said $8,000. I then asked, “Did you mean $8,000?” He replied, “No, that's not correct.” The quote was for EIGHTY THOUSAND dollars - for a project lasting four days!!!!

My biggest issue is that they take advantage of the name of God. "Living Waters" is a reference to Jesus Christ. An $80,000 estimate is about $73,000 higher than it should be. There is nothing charitable, kind or neighborly about that. This does not reflect Christian values. I told Jeffrey how shocked I was. He didn't propose to visit for an evaluation or permit me to speak with the supervisor responsible for this estimate. He stood his ground - the price was $80,000 - take it or leave it.

Since then, I reached out to three different plumbing professionals. They have all said the same thing, "Living Waters Plumbing and Mechanical is a scam! They overcharge and provide subpar service."

Their advertisement states, "Keep our name in mind." You bet I will! I will always remember the time they attempted to overcharge me. Don't waste your time calling them. They could potentially charge you just for reaching out.

I reached out to several different service providers, with one that delayed my service for close to thirty days! That was not the case with Living Waters. The service was efficient and professional with great customer service. They traveled all the way to my location in Willow to replace my on-demand water heater. Thank you so much!
