I found these guys through Angi and contacted them to send a plumber out to look at a shower for me. They scheduled an appointment on Friday between 1 and 3pm. 3:00 rolls around, no plumber. I call the office and they say he'll be here. 4:00 rolls around, I call the office and they say they'll call the plumber to find out where he is. 15min later they call back and say they can't get ahold of him. So, like an idiot, I ask them to reschedule for Saturday morning. They say they'll be here at 10:00. Well, 10:00 rolls around and no plumber. I call the office, they say he'll be there by 12:00. 12:00 rolls around, I call the office and they say they'll call me back after they get in touch with the plumber. It's now 12:49 and I still haven't been called back.

Never in my life have I received service this garbage. Pro tip to the business owner: if your employees aren't going to show up, then don't bother with creating an appointment.

Avoid.
I got this referral via Home Advisor after my a/c stopped working. Guy came out and after doing nearly nothing, advised me that I ""probably"" needed a new condenser, and since my furnace and a/c are both over 20 years old he was trying to sell me a whole new system, estimated cost between 9K-20K depending on square footage of my home and what level of energy efficiency I wanted. I didn't trust him as he seemed too lazy to do any real troubleshooting.

I decided to get a second opinion (and I'm glad I did). Tony Raisor came out, actually did some troubleshooting, figured out that the wire to the capacitor was fried, so the capacitor was bad. He happened to have one in his truck so he installed it, and wow, suddenly we had functioning a/c again. Total cost $145.

Living Comfort was recommended to us by HomeAdvisor. They came out the next day to repair our AC unit. Steven Moore, the tech, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. It was a capacitor that needed to be replaced. He pulled out his company's pricing book and charge us $433!!! After he left, I looked up this part online. It runs between $20 and $40. This is a markup of around 1200% to 1500%!!!!

I called Living Comfort up to complain. The man who answered said he just answers the phone, although he DID know the prearranged price of $433. He said someone would call me back to discuss this situation- no one ever called back! My check was cashed within MINUTES of talking to this guy who ""only answers the phone""!!

I am NOT HAPPY with Living Comfort and WON'T BE HAPPY with HomeAdvisor if they continue to recommend them!!!

My experience came with selecting Living Comfort after they called from my investigating on Angie's list. They called almost instantaneously when I hit the send button on the request for quote from Angie's list. I set up an appointment two days later and they were very friendly on the phone and assured me that I would get an AC and furnace check together for $59.95. When I called two days later when they were supposed to be coming for the appointment, they had lost the appointment. This was strike 1. They said they would quickly send someone out. Ben showed up fairly quick but not as fast as if he had been on time for my appointment. Strike 2 came when Ben asked me to review the Comfort Club and pricelist book. Comfort Club for $20 a month gets you a larger discount on repairs. It also has you scheduled for other maintenance. I see no good reason for shelling out $20 a month for their service. It literally could work out that you pay $240 a year for $120 worth of service calls! When Ben started taking my furnace apart, he said the cap (capacitor) for the blower fan was reading low and needed replaced. The cap was a standard 7.5 uf cap with 3 pins. These can be found on the web from $2 to $12. They have 3 electrical connectors that take less time than 2 minutes to replace. The charges for that change from Living Comfort is $222 if you don't belong to the club or $177 if you do. This is beyond the pale of price gouging! I let Ben know my thoughts on the capacitor but he said that he wasn't responsible for the price. He wasn't disrespectful. Also, Strike 3 was that the original quote on the phone was for both an AC and furnace inspection. Ben was there for only one. Good grief.

We purchased a new home this summer and quickly realized there was something wrong with the A/C unit. Mike from Liberty Comfort came the same day to look at our unit. He made a few adjustments and made sure we were satisfied with the repairs. He was great and would recommend Liberty Comfort to anyone!

They pick up the phone. They show up, do their job, are friendly, and have a sense of humor, too. I say yay!
