Little John's Plumbing began in 1990 when John Dondalski established the company in Glendora, California, originally known as A1 Quality Plumbing. Prior to founding his company, John gained experience as an apprentice and plumber for seven years in a plumbing shop located in his hometown of Monrovia, CA. He graduated with honors from PHCC trade school, John earned his California State Plumbing Contractor License. As John's family and business expanded, the need for more space arose. In 1995, we transitioned to La Verne, where we remain today. Shortly after, John decided to rebrand the company from A1 Quality, which sounded too corporate, to a name that truly represented our family values. With Ian Dondalski, his son, joining as an apprentice in 2008, the company was renamed Little John's Plumbing. For over 30 years, we have proudly served the Foothills of the San Gabriel Valley and Inland Empire.
John has over thirty years of experience in construction. From 1983 to 1990, he worked at a local plumbing shop in Monrovia, California, his hometown. While there, he attended PHCC plumbing contractors school in Los Angeles, California. He graduated with honors in 1989 and quickly passed the California State exam to earn his Plumbing Contractor license. Following this, he acquired his first home in Glendora, CA, and made the decision to open his own plumbing company to create a stable future for his family. In June of 1990, he launched A1 Quality Plumbing. In 2008, after our relocation to La Verne in 1995, John's son Ian decided to join the family business. Wanting the company name to reflect its family-oriented nature, he opted to rename the company Little John's Plumbing. John has been honored to serve the local communities for over 30 years, in plumbing and as a worship leader, where he plays drums and teaches drumming to kids in need.

I've used John and Ian several times in the last four years with no complaints. They replaced my water heater , repaired gas line for my fire pit ,repaired pipes at pressure valve and replaced a valve under a bath sink. Always professional , good clean work and friendly. I believed their prices to be fair. I also referred them to friends. Recently I called John for an estimate to do some work with photos so he could get a good idea of work required.
$ 950 -$1000 labor for replacement bath faucet, and $250 labor to replace kitchen faucet. That's right labor only. Well needless to say I was shocked. I declined and called other highly rated Yelp plumbers. They were all at least $400 less.
So my only suggestion is to get several quotes. As far as work quality, they are excellent.

*****Highest Recommendation: We had an emergency leak on our water main. I called multiple plumbers for a quote. My wife had met Little John through her work and recommended him.
John showed up in a professional work truck and with his son. Both were well spoken and dressed appropriately for work.
After explaining the situation, both John and his son asked questions related to my plumbing issue. They properly diagnose the issue and gave options for repair. They also found an additional issue that had gone undiagnosed by another plumber.
John is a likable guy as is his son. Beyond that, they are also very professional and found them to be very thorough as well. Additionally, his price was very fair and I trust his work.
Thanks Guys... Best of luck with your business.

So many positive things to say about this local small business. I have called them at least a dozen times and I have always trusted everything they say and recommend. They are courteous, truthful, and take a lot of pride in their work. The work they do is done right to last, not a temporary band-aid. In my experiences with them, they have always kept me informed about what they find, how they're going to fix it, what I need to do, etc. I live in a very old home where everything is starting to break down, and this family has become my forever go-to. I appreciate that this business is family-owned, they're local, and they're just nice people. If a job is expensive, then it's because it's actually an expensive fix. If a job can be done for less without compromising the quality of the work and how long it will last, they'll let you know. Even in situations where I've felt like I wanted something done immediately and Little John's Plumbing is busy, then I'll wait until they can come. So worth it.

The work certainly appeared high quality but they left without leaving an invoice for my tax records. After several calls in which one was promised, and follow on emails, still no invoice!

Great Service! We contacted Little John's Plumbing for a mess of a bathroom we had at our office, it has been repaired and attempted to be repaired multiple times. John came in assessed the situation and was able to let us know what the problem was immediately. He was not able to fix the problem that same night but was able to get the toilet to stop leaking so that we could set an appointment for him to come back with the proper equipment and assistance he needed. He came back a few days later with his son Ian and they both worked to get everything up and working perfectly. He was honest regarding his pricing and gave us quotes prior to doing the work, i would recommend his services and would use them again for future problems.

This was the first time that we used Little John's Plumbing, and I have to say that I felt extremely satisfied having them come to my house and do a job for me. I don't say that often about hiring people to come and work in our house. They were not only exceptionally talented, they were also fair, friendly and didn't mind that I asked a million questions. They explained everything more than once to me so that I could understand. I really appreciated that since I always want to learn about what is being done to my house. The job that they did was beautiful. We had a clog in the kitchen sink, and what I thought was going to be just a straight forward ""snaking"" turned out to be a disaster. They had to re-plumb everything under the sink. Because the original plumbing in our house was so gunked up they had to cut away almost to the wall. Therefore, John had to make threads on the pipe (by hand) in order to attach the new pipes. In this day in age, it is hard to come by that kind of skill and handy work. They also worked hard on our bathroom sink and, again, something that was thought to be an ""easy fix"" for them turned out to be more complicated. They did an exceptional job in both places....and after that, they were very fair with their pricing. I would recommend Little John's Plumbing to everyone! They are excellent!

Awesome!!!! They did lots of work for my brother and did a great job and good prices. They went beyond what was to be done. Honest company. Thank you to the team, I know it was not always easy, but thank you also for your understanding.

I've used Little John's a few times before and they've always been fair and reasonable. Today's visit was most impressive and I couldn't wait to rate them on one of these sites. I contacted John late last week with a kitchen sink problem that I thought could get worse in a hurry. It was loose AND leaking. Realizing either my concern or that I was a past customer (I'm sure he'd escalate his attention for both), he came out today. (It's Presidents' Holiday today, by the way... and there was no O/T or extra charge when he left). John is that kind of guy. If you are in need, he'll do whatever he can to help. It ended up I needed a new faucet but he discovered a gasket below in the original plumbing which could have blown at any point and caused a real mess. He fixed that portion at no charge (it might have taken 10min if that, but others may still charge you if they want). John said it was all part of the deal to make sure I had a nice, working faucet when he left which was the reason for my call. Hey, nothing is cheap these days so you have to be extra careful. Little John's Plumbing is a company that gives it to you straight, you aren't sold anything that you don't need and most of all, they care about their customers. I hope they're in business forever!

I have done business with many plumbers over the years however I have never had such a great experience before. Little Johns plumbing does outstanding work and is absolutely honest. I had about the worst plumbing problem you can have, millions of huge roots clogging my mainline from the house to the sewer. it doesn't get worse than that. I got several estimates but most companies left out several things they would have to do which would cost more money in the long run. Little John's plumbing gave me a very reasonable estimate and included all of the possible additional costs. Little Johns plumbing finished the work, (which was an absolute nitemare) in a timely manner and returned my yard to as close to it's original state as he could. A few weeks later I had a water heater go out. Although I really didn't want to spend more money on plumbing so soon after the huge job it needed to be done. I didn't hesitate to call Little Johns plumbing to replace it. Once again they did an excellent job and did it on a Saturday. I will not ever consider hiring any other plumbing company if I ever have another problem.

We had a clogged main line under our slab, with peripheral issues that made the job very difficult. John and his son Ian used their many years of expertise to successfully clear the line in under two hours. Their old school practical knowledge combined with honest business practices was very appreciated. We recommend this family company highly.
