Called this morning with a major water heater issue. I was told it would be a few hours maybe later in the day. They were here in about 2 hours and already had the parts needed as the technician called ahead and had me send him some photos. Outstanding service!! Technicians were extremely friendly and very informative when I asked questions. They were masked for COVID and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend!
I placed 5 urgent calls to this company and not one call was returned. I had to call another plumber on a holiday weekend. Luckily, a real company showed up AND fixed what Linthicum Plumbing did! I wish I could give less than 1 star.
Water stopped flowing in the house. Called at 8:30 and was told someone would be out between 1 and 4. Guy showed up at 11:30 and knew right away what the problem was, a burnt out switch to the reservour tank. Had the problem fixed within the hour. Much appreciated the quick response and great service.
I have a tenant who called LP & D without consulting me first. It turned out that it was a
Hot water heater element that needed to be replaced. The charge was $526. I called the plumber that is familiar with the property and he said that he charges $175 to replace an element.
It is a $40 part and it should only take an hour to do the job. I guess it's true when you say: "" you can screw em once or make love to em forever ""
I got several quotes for a new water heater. I called Linthicum Plumbing and their quote was the best and they would put it in the soonest. The technician arrived and the work was completed quickly and there were no issues. A family member has also had plumbing work done by them and we would both highly recommend them.
A G.TRUE STORY - Good read.
1. I called Linthicum Plumbing for a kitchen sink drain stoppage at 6:00pm today.
2. Matthew, the ""technician"" arrived just before 7pm to clear the drain. The drain cleaner he used was not a K-50 style roto rooter, but a smaller homeowner style. I know because I have one - it snakes out only 25 feet. I told him the blockage was about 40 feet down the line (I know this from experience because this has happened to us from time to time).
3. He used the small roto anyway, and of course when he put the undersink fittings back and tested, the drain was still blocked.
4. He said he had to go to someone's house to pick up the K-50. This was at 7:40. He said he couldn't pick it up until 8:30, but he'd be back no later than 9:00 to finish the job.
5. At 9:45, he hadn't returned or called. I called the answering service, who got in touch with Matthew, and he called me.
6. Matthew said he'd been waiting at some guy's house all this time to get the K-50, had been texting and calling the guy but wasn't getting any answer. Matthew said the guy wasn't coming home tonight, he wouldn't be able to come back tonight to finish the job, or even tomorrow morning. Matthew said I probably should call someone else to clean the drain at this point. Once my jaw came up off the floor, I just hung up on him.
7. Matthew (and Linthicum Plumbing), you left a can of PVC cement, one glove and a really nice plumbers hacksaw under my kitchen sink. Thank you.
8. This is a true story, just the way it happened. If anyone else has a Linthicum Plumbing story that can top it, let's hear it.
Gas Leak! If I could, I will not give a single star. My experience with the Linthicum plumbing & drain clearning for the gas hot water heater was a nightmare. When the company quote me the installation, they told me that 90% of their hot water heaters were Rheem, and I was assured couple days before the installation. When I question the installer why he brought in the Bradford White, he told me that all water heater from Linthicum comes with 6 years labor and part warranty and I should not worry. The installer would not write down 6 years labor and part warranty on the invoice when the job was done. We smell GAS LEAK after the installation. There were two visits from the company for gas leak. The plumber didn't use the right solution to test the leak and wipe out the liquid soon after the spray, they used a gas detector that cost $29 form amazon and calibrate inside the utility closet. On the second visit, we were told that we would be charged if there were a third trip. He told us to call BG&E if we continue smell gas. We spent so much time and risk our health and safety to deal with the gas leak for 2 long weeks. It only took 5 minutes for my HVAC installer to do a bubble test (the right solution and wait for 5 minutes) to found the problem.
When our hot water heater abruptly stopped working, I Received recommendations from numerous people. Linthicum Plumbing was by far the friendliest and most accommodating company. They sent someone out same day and when they were running late, they called to tell me. The work was done quickly, efficiently and for a good price. Very happy with the service.
Jay T.This is a really LOUSY company. I'm not sure who's writing these wonderful and awesome reviews. Maybe they have a lot of family members? Anyway, I've called them twice on TWO separate occasions for a problem I was having in my home. BOTH times (months apart) the person they have on call never bothered to call me back, return my call..etc. Do yourself a favor, if you're in an emergency situation with no heat, hot water or having a flood....call a real plumber!
Did not fulfill their contract. Sink they installed literally fell off the wall due to technician's incompetence. They attempted to charge me again to resolve the situation. Very unethical company.
