Lindstrom Company was one of three companies I chose from to replace my lateral sewer line and I was very happy that I chose them. The job was done as promised and Todd and his workers were very easy and pleasant to work with. I will use them again as the need arises.

This review is long overdue.

I've used Lindstrom over the last 4-5 years. Up until last year, the only need I had was snaking my exterior sewer line due to invasive tree roots. Their plumbers were always on time and very professional. This alone is reason enough to use Lindstrom.

Also, their pricing was VERY fair. Example, they charge $128 (from what I recall) for an hour as a flat rate. Normally, they cleared the blockage with the snake in 30 minutes. Then, they used a camera to inspect the line for offsets and cracks since I still had 30 minutes left on the 1 hour flat rate. They did this each time and it always resulted in the 1 hour rate of $128. They never charged a fee for the snake then another fee for the camera. Based on my calls in the past, other plumbers charge for the snake fee then for the camera fee. I suspect it would still take an hour, but the fee would be in the $300 range. Again, another reason to use Lindstrom.

Quick comment about feedback another reviewer left. They said Lindstrom charges a drive time fee for the Peninsula. That's odd since they never charged me drive time. The 1 hour clock always started once they got here, never when they left the office or their previous job.

Late last year, I had to replace my upper and lower laterals due to major issues and motivated by a reimbursement program by my city. The city provided a list of plumbers who already provided a price list for the related services/fees, had appropriate licenses, and required insurance. Lindstrom was on there. I got an estimate from them as well as two other plumbers and both are on Yelp. One had better Yelp reviews than Lindstrom and one was equal if not a bit lower on review scores. I decided to go with Lindstrom for the following reasons:

1. Todd Lindstrom was amazingly professional and knowledgeable during the inspection and quote process. One other was equally as good. The other was clueless.

2. Lindstrom had the best warranty of the three by a healthy margin.

3. Price was the best of the three.

4. Past experience with them since I never had a problem and was always happy with their work.

So how did the lateral replacement process go? Totally smooth. Todd was stellar. He sent me daily email updates on progress and next steps since I was at work all day. I was NEVER in the dark during the process. When needed, Todd called as opposed to using email. He also gave me his cell number so I could reach him directly and he was awesome at returning a message if he couldn't take my call.

There isn't a single thing that would make me consider using anyone else after the lateral experience. Lindstrom has never let me down and I'd be surprised if you used them and didn't feel the same way. That's why I suggest them to everyone I know.

Todd and crew, thanks for all the great service!

Plumber came to check a leak in sink. 10 minutes just checking the leak charged for one hour minimum $128. Would not apply the remaining time to install new faucet later on. No customer service sense. I simply cannot recommend them.

I had a great experiance with this company.
Todd came out and looked at my sewer pipe to the street, he set up his camera and put it down the sewer line for no charge, he spent about an hour with me looking at the line and discussing how they would do the job.
I called and hired them after i received the price, other plumbers were 2x the price and they didn't even put the camera down the line or wanted to charge for it seperately.
They came out and did the work, while they were there they discovered that my line and the neighbors were hooked together before the street, Todd went to the city of Millbrae and got it all taken care of. My neighbor also recieved and new hookup from his connection to my pipe to the street. They also did all of the concrete work to finish the job.
It has been about two years now, and all is still working great.
I would definately hire them again.

First, these clowns have the nerve to charge drive time to mid-peninsula cities....Ridiculous! Who gets paid for driving to work? Lindstrom gets paid to drive to your home!
Next, this is NOT the same Lindstrom Company that we all knew and liked over 20 years ago. The folks running it now seem like distant relatives that simply answer the phone, schedule and handle the accounting. I don't think any of them know anything about plumbing. About a year ago we had a toilet that was backing up with water spewing on to our second story floor. Each time they would clear the stop up which was occuring a very short distance within the toilet. Within a couple weeks, I would have to call them again, again and again over a 3 month period. Each time I tried to ask them if I had a bad toilet, each time they would say, ""Oh you have a great toilet"" - ""No need to replace"" They would never give me a clear reason for the blockage or why the toilet would flood all over the tile.
Finally, I insisted that the toilet be replaced and I've had no troubles. I wish they would have done it on the first visit, but I spent hundreds in each of their other visits! I would question the plumbers that come your home are licensed. Seems like english is a second language.

I had such a bad phone experience with this company that I decided to cancel my appointment with them. I called them because my faucet came off in my hand this morning (Saturday) & I was concerned because I have hardwood floors & water may have leaked under the dishwasher. Their plumber on call phoned me about an hour later & said he could not help me until Monday (2 days later) & that if I wanted him to come over to check if there was water under my dishwasher it would be $190 an hour. Then he didn't seem to know the brand of my faucet (Grohe). What kind of plumbers are they hiring? Not impressed with this outfit at all.

I THOUGHT Lindstrom had developed and built a business based on a good reputation for outstanding work and service. Boy, was i wrong !!

I called them in November, with an emergency, sewer backup problem. They came out on a Saturday to fix it (or so I thought)-- and snaked and 'camera-ed' the sewer line. Then, 2 months later, on January 12, at nearly 11 pm, the SAME backup situation happened again. This time it was more critical and 'smelly' -- we called Lindstrom (based on their previous response time); the answering service was as aloof and UNCARING as it could be. We said we NEEDED someone from the company to call us back right away to have this taken care of. The woman from the answering service didn't care; we TOLD her it's an emergency, and she told us that she was the answering service and that someone would call us right back. I tried to call a few minutes later (after NO call from Lindstrom) -- but this time got NO ANSWER !!
We were in an emergency situation, so we HAD to look for alternative solutions. We ended up calling a different company out of the blue. Their dispatcher was COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL, and UNDERSTOOD what it meant for a CUSTOMER to be in an emergency situation. Within MINUTES of our call, the actual plumber called us and assessed our needs over the phone and reassured us that he was on his way. NOT ONLY THAT -- His company actually FOLLOWED UP with a call a few minutes later to make sure that we had been contacted by a plumber and that he was on his way. They arrived, did a GREAT job clearing the line; we were very lucky. They did not 'rake us over the coals' in price either; they could have, considering it was nearly midnight and we were in an emergency situation. This other vendor mentioned that when our line was camera-ed by LINDSTROM a couple of months prior, we should have received a report. At the time of service by Lindstrom, WE NEVER RECEIVED SUCH A REPORT or even a mention that there should be one.

BOTTOM LINE: We were very lucky that we ended up calling someone very professional and one who did a good job. In all likelihood, it probably cost more $$ than it should have, but we were taken care of. It cost us a LOT of time and aggravation, not to mention a lot of $$. Lindstrom SHOULD HAVE followed up IMMEDIATELY the night of the call, and assessed that the job they did 2 months prior was properly done. We heard from NOBODY that night.
Oh yes, they finally called.... 7:45 a.m. THE NEXT DAY !! 10-1/2 HOURS AFTER WE PLACED THE CALL TO THEM !! The person who called stated that he is 'a foreman' and was equally as uncaring and unresponsive as the answering service person the night before.

Lindstrom was referred to me AS SECOND TO NONE-- by many of the seasoned Real Estate professionals that I used to work with. I have advised EACH AND EVERY ONE of them of the horrible service I received from Lindstrom and suggested that they might want to re-think their clients plumbing needs !

In closing -- I called and asked to speak with Todd personally -- whom I believe is the owner. The receptionist said she would give him the message. Of course she did not , as I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM.

Do not call these people! I call them, the plumber showed up at the complete wrong time - when I was in the middle of a meeting. He came and just looked and said he couldn't do anything without charging $600 just to see what the problem was. I said no, and then received a bill from them for NOTHING -- not even an estimate!

Tonight I came home to the sound of rushing water, except it didn't make me feel calm. The hose that connects the master bathroom toilet busted and water was everywhere. I called Lindstrom Plumbing right away and within 40min Ken, an after hours employee, arrived. He looked at it, the hose is so old school they don't stock it at most stores, he had it, and replaced it all within 10min of being here. When things are efficient, that's as good as it gets given the situation.
