Our company, Lindstrom Air Conditioning & Plumbing was established by our founder, Carl Lindstrom in 1975 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our initial service vehicle was an antique station wagon that was adequate to carry a couple of people, a few tools and essential supplies. At that time, services were confirmed by our clients with a simple handshake. Trust was more than a term, it was a contract. After more than 30 years, Lindstrom has transformed into one of Florida's long-standing and most trusted service companies with more than 130 team members.

Joe, our skilled technician has 28 years of industry experience. He has a proven track record holding leadership roles for 2 national service companies with over 1000 employees each. Joe started his journey for the Lindstroms in 2001. Joe holds a ASCS certification with the National Duct Cleaners Association and is an participating member of the Indoor Air Quality Association. Joe also dedicates his time on the advisory board for the ATI Career Training Center.

We had a major repair done at my rental home, which replaced the condenser fan. When the air conditioning was not working again a little over 3 months later (this is when we discovered it. It probably was not working earlier, but we don't live there, and the house is vacant currently), we were told that the warranty was only 90 days and that we would have to pay another $89 service fee (which is higher than the industry standard). When my husband called back a little later, Jennifer answered the phone. This was not who he had spoken to previously. Jennifer said that the price was actually $115 for a service call because our appointment would be after hours as we both work full time. When he said that we were told $89, she laughed at him and said well $115 is the price. Then she said, """"what do you care what the price is, you are not paying it?. The Owner will be paying it"""", to which my husband replied """"I am the Owner"""". We decided at that point, due to the treatment by Jennifer, that we did not want to have them do any further work for us. We called someone else, who was also less expensive, and had the repair done well and quickly (and inexpensively). I do not trust this company. The repair they did was insufficient for getting the system in working order. From the repair I had done subsequently, I believe that they did not address the original issue, but rather fixed something that didn't need fixing. They are also the rudest company that I have ever dealt with.

EXCELLENT SERVICE BY ROBERT BOYLE. Honesty, professionalism -- job done to perfection. Have used Lindstrom for AC and Plumbing -- highly recommend for both. They may cost a bit more but the service and work is 10 stars.

Wow! I cannot understand all the negative reviews. I have been dealing with Lindstrom for 20 years. The home I purchased in 1997 had a Trane unit and was installed by Lindstrom. Unit ran well for over 11 years with just minor repairs. It was serviced by Lindstrom on an annual basis. I purchased a new unit from Lindstrom back in 2009 Also a Trane unit. The unit was installed by Juniors crew and they did an exceptional job. Showed up on time, worked clean and neat and overall did a great install. I have a maintenance plan with Lindstrom and they come out every six months to service the unit. My preferred tech is Clint. He arrives on time, works neat even puts on bootys if he has to enter many home. He is a consummate professional who I trust. Clint is always respectful of my time and my home. The office staff with a few exceptions is helpful and courteous. If I have a problem as I did with a recent UV light install they make it right. OK so they may not be the cheapest but quality costs more and I am willing to pay for good expert service. I strongly suggest the maintenance plan it is worth the money and assures your unit will stay in tip top shape. There are a few things as a homeowner I do to keep my unit operating efficiently. I keep the compressor unit clean, if shaded by hedges keep them at least 12 inches from all sides. Inside air handler (mine is in the garage) keep unit clean and change or clean your filter every month, Lindstrom does the rest. UV lights and air cleaners work for me so I recommend at least one light shining on your coil to keep it clean. I also have an air cleaner UV light in the duct system which keeps germs at bay. You may not need all these enhancements but they do work for our home and worth the money. I do not work for Lindtrom and assure you if my experience changes I will update my review. Seems a Doug L monitors Yelp and responds to reviews. Doug L so many negative reviews mostly from customer service warrants a review of your intake call process and perhaps a review of calls coming in? I did have one not so helpful rep take my call some time ago. Perhaps I am the outlier in this but all I can say is when this unit breaks( keep my fingers crossed) I will do business with Lindstrom again.

Wow! What a shady company. I had them come out for maintenance and they left my unit in worse shape than when they started. The tech said it would be 1400.00 for repairs and that I needed refrigerant. Good thing I had a home warranty and called another company who said the unit needed a new capacitor only. The tech at Lindstrom stuck a piece of mulch to forced the relay switch on, but never said the unit would continue to run constantly and that it would freeze the system. I shut off the breaker when I noticed it. Stay far away from this company!

Blew off their 8-9 AM appt with no call. When I called they said now 10-12. Said OK They called me back to tell me now 12 to 2PM Wasted my whole morning. I cancelled and will choose another vendor

After meeting Lindstrom employee, I feared for safety of my family and wonder how Lindstrom allows this behavior, especially after calling them and reporting situation showing no interest in what happened. """"I don't believe that"""". Before listening to whole event said nothing could be done.

Lindstrom came out to my elderly mother in laws condo to fix her AC. Was told fan motor needed replacement and quoted $396 labor plus the $89 service fee (unit was still under warranty for parts but had to pay labor which takes 30 minutes), which she agreed to and was scheduled next day to install part. Next day new tech tells her the motor won't fix her issues and she needed complete new unit at cost of $5000! Salesman employed classic pressure tactics such as telling her they only had 1 appointment left to install in 2 days and she needed to sign agreement quickly or would have to wait another day in the summer temps......she signed. Learning this, I called around and had Airbulance company come out next day and resolved issue next morning for way less than Linstrom. I called Lindstrom to request refund of the $89 service call/estimate on basis it was wrong as determined by their own 2nd technician......they refused citing that I was given a second opinion without additional cost! It seems I needed 2nd opinion as if this was a cancer surgery. I will refute the $89 with credit card company as what I paid for was wrong or part of a up-charging scheme. I got the feeling this company is more about salesmanship than integrity and suggest anyone get a """"2nd opinion"""" from another company before signing anything with Lindstrom.

This is actually my second post as I removed the first one to see if the company would redeem themselves. My experience with this company is beyond a nightmare. When the first technician came out he was rude and start assuming what the problem was with my AC and then started quoting these outlandish prices before assessing the problem. Once I said that I needed to get a second opinion and if he could possibly do a diagnosis to see what the problem is, he stated that I needed to check it myself and proceeded to leave. Very unprofessional and rude. My next visit was for them to do the actual repair so they sent out their technician Aaron. Since their boss was angry with me for making my initial post that I removed he had his technician Aaron put a nest of bugs in my home. After he left I have had bugs flying all around my home. What they didn't know is that I have hidden cameras in my house and I have already reported them to law enforcement. So if you ever write a bad review about their company you better not hire them to do a job because they are nasty and vindictive. I am going to run their reputation in the ground. My entire community where I live has reported how incompetent this company is. I live in a brand new development and the majority of the HVAC units have serious issues with Lindstrom Air Conditioning.

Very pleasant, very courteous, very informative. I work in the industry and was referred to Lindstrom by an associate. Over a couple of years a number of different guys, from different areas in the company (service, maintenance, sales, installation), have been to the house. Every time they were scheduled, I was given a phone call in advance. Every time they came, they removed their shoes when they entered the house. Every time they came, they gave me information about how to use my system better. The only contradiction between two of the fellows was in their advice about how to keep bacteria low in the lines. I can excuse that.

We should have read the other reviews. Lindstrom seems professional from the outside, but their experience level, their customer service and their management dealings are terrible!! We bought a new TRANE 2 years ago from them, when we were told it was going to be $1000+ to repair our present AC. One week after we purchased the new air conditioner, we had a recurrence of our original problem, water in the ceiling...After 4 visits, they finally realized that the original leak was caused by a broken pipe which could have been repaired without obtaining a new air cond. (They fixed it with duct tape) We were not happy to realize this but we figured, we would have needed a new AC in the next few years anyway. Fast forward 2 years, our TRANE was not working. Being under warranty, the part was free,BUT the labor to replace the fan motor was $89 for the diagnostic and $378 for them to come back and replace it. This took less than an hour.We called the customer service manager to discuss the pricing. We wanted to understand how they arrived at this cost, after all it was under warranty, and cost us almost $500 for a warranty repair that took no time. The customer service manager offered very little in response to our phone call other than """"thats what we charge"""". We cannot help but feel like their pricing is a total rip off, and that they do not really care about creating customer service relationships for the long run.
