Lindstrom, your trusted plumbing and AC partner was founded by Carl Lindstrom in the mid-1970s in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our original service truck was an antique station wagon that was just big enough to transport a few team members, some tools and basic supplies. Joe, our skilled technician has 28 trade-years experience. He has a solid history holding senior management positions for 2 national service companies with over 1000 employees each. Joe began working for the Lindstrom family in 2001. Joe holds a National Air Duct Cleaners Association ASCS certification with the NDCA and is an active member of the IAQA. Joe also offers his time on the board of advisors for the ATI Career Training Center.

I had a 4 Ton Trane Air Condition plus a 4 Ton Trane Condenser from Lindstrom Air Conditioning on 6/13/2017, The agent had me sign multiple papers including in his words a permit to install these items with the county. No Problem. The men arrived in a timely manner, started removing the old units, No Problem. Took the 5 men 7 hours to remove the old one which was up in the attic and the outside unit. No Problem. Cleaned up after they were finished nicely. No Problem. The problem came to my attention after 4 weeks, that an inspector had not appeared to check the work on this 4 ton unit up in the attic dead center over my living room. Now Concerned. I had my grandson go up in the attic to check if there was water in the bottom pan under the unit and that when we became aware the the light fixture that you would pull the cord to put the light on was broken in half and the bulb socket was hanging with black electrical tape wrapped multiple times around the hanging wires which made the light flicker. No one mention to me that the workers had broke it, nor did they say they would replace the light fixture. Now concerns come into play on what else don't I know about on this unit that is hanging in the middle of my attic. On the opposite side of the attic that you reach by the garage there is now multiple wire laying on top a false floor my husband had install to store our suitcases. Lindstrom representative state those wires had to be there before and was not their problem. The last episode was when I finally receive a copy of the """"So Call"""" permit to do this project. I was not aware when David their representative had me sign this paper since he stated it was to pull the Permit, I did not read it trusting him , it actually read"""" Owner's Waiver of Individual Permit and Inspection for Mechanical Units"""". """"Meaning No Inspection"""". Who in their right mind wants to """"Waiver"""" an Inspection on a 4 Ton Unit hanging up by chains in the middle of their attic. At this moment I do not feel safe on what is up in my attic. They should have told me they broke the light unit, replaced all the items they moved on the opposite side of the attic. They were not installing a air conditioner unit in a closet on the ground floor, it up in the middle of my attic hanging by chains. Oh, I failed to mention I'm a 77 yr old women living alone. hmmmm!!!! I strongly feel an inspection should have been done on these items.

Got back from vacation to no A.C. Called Lindstrom at 4:00 P.M. Serviceman named Eddy arrived about 5:30 P.M. He asked and listened to the problem. He immediately knew what was wrong and proceeded to repair my system. Amazing! He left about 6:15 and I had my A.C. working again. Fast response, quality service people, could not be happier.

Great experience with Lindstrom. Working in the restaurant business I am constantly dealing with HVAC issues and it's always hard to assess the necessity of the recommendations AC companies come to you with. Our tech, Eddy F, with Lindstrom was so great about explaining the work he was doing on our house and providing honest suggestions about what did and didn't need to be done. As a result of our experience with Eddy, we actually decided to sign up for a yearly service contract!

No stars. Living in Florida, we count on our air conditioning all year round. I had purchased a Trane through LIndstrom and had to take their service contract. Unfortunately, after a few years there was a problem with it and I called for service. The worker who came was arrogant, rude and threatening. He was unable to fix my Trane system but still was demanding payment. He then proceeded to tell me he would remove the A/C part he had just placed (but was still not making the A/C work) unless I paid him anyway (despite it not working). I refused. He removed the part and left! I was incredulous. Atrocious behavior and service. Unacceptable. I have lodged a complaint with the BBB.

I have used Lindstrom in the past for emergencies and went back to them when I decided to replace my two air conditioners. Their quote was double that of the next competitor! I had also purchased a service contract. In my second home I had another emergency when the handler froze and the blower stopped working. I called them first and they said the next opportunity to service the emergency was Sunday, 4 days away. I told them I had my 81 year old father in the home and they couldn't do any better. The advertising dollars for those expensive commercials certainly come from somewhere!

Do Not Use Lindstrom. Read the warnings and heed them. I am in the HVAC industry and purchased a new home that Lindstrom designed. Upon dealing with them and letting them know how they have improperly designed what I estimate to be 75 homes I started to realize what kind of company they really are. First and foremost, don't buy into this guy Joe that responds to every single bad yelp post because he is a ghost and I've called for months to talk to him and he doesn't answer or return calls. Next, the owners of Lindstrom must be some trust fund inheritors because never once has there been an owner in the office to talk to either, nor do they return calls. The highest person I have been able to get ahold of is Craig, the new construction manager, who has very little understanding of HVAC in general and he literally has only called me back a few times and responded to an email or two in the face of a class action lawsuit. But enough about the non existent customer service....let's talk about the actual company and it's knowledge base. I had several technicians, the service manager, and the energy and design manager out to my house to look at the problems. Every conversation with their entire staff has left me speechless because of the lack of basic understanding of HVAC principles. I kid you not, I've dealt with countless mistakes, confusion, and misconceptions that are so basic it blows my mind how they have remained in business. I can say with absolute certainty this company does not have the expertise to serve you or any future customers properly. When companies like this don't understand their industry then they are nothing but part changers. If you hire a part changer you are likely spend unnecessary money and have multiple call backs. Save yourself the headache and find experts and if you don't care about experts at least find a part changer with customer service.

I hate to write negative reviews, but feel it's a must in this situation. Be careful signing up for service plan. I had a technician out 2 weeks ago to perform maintenance check up. Yesterday, my AC goes out. I called and spoke to Amal about my urgency. I explained I was a current customer who paid for the maintenance plan and had just had my units serviced 2 weeks ago. The best she could do was send someone out Friday (it was Wednesday). I expressed that living in Florida with 3 toddlers, this was not suffice. She hung up on me while I was still talking. I ended up finding another company who came out this morning only to tell me I had the wrong piece on my outside unit and it had burnt out. Something that my routine maintenance should have caught. I called lindstrom this morning and spoke to Joey asking for a refund on my maintenance (I spent $225 on today's repair). He will not refund me for maintenance plan. In conclusion, beware of maintenance plan. It is a waste of money. I am sure if I was a new customer, Amal would have accommodated me. This will be the last time I call lindstrom. The smaller company's have been more reliable and much less expensive.

Called a week in advance and spoke with Tom and set an appointment for a supervisor named Kevin to come out and give me an estimate. Called in the morning they were supposed to show up. They had to call me back. They said he was on his way. 45 minutes later, still waiting. Was told someone would be over at 9am. I called back at 10:40am and thanked them for wasting my time and I was glad they had so much business that they didn't need mine. I'm starting to think they bought good reviews because they suck!!!!!

One of their guys was out back in NOVEMBER to look at shower. Called back in APRIL saying he had part. Same guy came to install and said part was incorrect. He made a total mudddy mess in the shower. I had to call a week later for status of availability of correct part. Waited for call back. They left message that it was the correct part and want so send out a different plumber. I called again to schedule and was put on hold to find the part. I told woman I received a call that the part was there and she was super rude and still insisted on putting me on hold. I hung up in frustration. She called back saying she has part & still had the pissy attitude. Let's see what happens next!

Called at 3pm for a severe toilet clog. I was told no estimate on arrival time but tech would call half hour prior to arrival. I asked how much it would cost and the rep said 125 plus work. There was not much work...we had already removed the toilet..what we lacked was a longer snake. Well the total came to $450 dollars for 10 minutes of work. I feel I was taken advantage of...never ever using their plumbing service again.
