Lindstrom Air Conditioning & Plumbing was founded by our founder, Carl Lindstrom in the year 1975 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our initial service vehicle was an old station wagon that was just big enough to transport a few team members, some tools and essential supplies. In those days, services were confirmed by our customers with a handshake. Trust was more than a term, it was a commitment. After over three decades, Lindstrom has evolved into one of Florida's long-standing and most trusted service companies with a team of over 130.

Our expert, Joe has 28 years of industry experience. He has a proven track record holding senior management positions for two nationwide service firms with more than 1000 employees each. Joe joined the team for the Lindstrom family in 2001. Joe holds a ASCS certification with the National Duct Cleaners Association and is an active member of the Indoor Air Quality Association community. Joe also volunteers his time on the advisory committee for ATI Career Training Center in Fort Lauderdale.

Called for emergency after hours ac repair on a unit they installed. They advertise 24 hour service, not so. Service is horrible once the sale is done.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. VERY CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY. They sent a tech out to diagnose my AC issue, which is just a leaky coil. The tech was not able to properly diagnose or provide a written estimate. In the meantime, they charged me the service fee for, as they put it, """"having the tech put his feet on my doorstep."""" They then wanted to send a """"higher, more qualified tech"""" out to do what the first guy was supposed to do, and they defended with their not going to charge me for the 2nd trip. I was like well then you should have sent a qualified tech out the first time around who can diagnose what is essentially a pretty common repair. My time is valuable too. I've never dealt with a company who has a two tech visit policy to make a diagnosis, but even if that is their policy, they need to hold their $89 service fee until they get the correct person out there who can make the diagnosis and provide an estimate. As a customer, I should not be liable for their charge and have nothing in return that is useful to me. I've lost confidence that they'd send someone out with clearly the inexperience to make the diagnosis and write up a proper estimate, so I'm not wasting more time with this company on yet another visit. I called them to discuss the fee, and the person on the line was very argumentative. His attitude perfectly encapsulated the attitude of the company in general that customers are expendable. I'm not surprised by all their very low Yelp ratings. Find another company who cares about their customers and values a long term relationship.

What a joke! Tech was great as he came out to give me a 19 point inspection and cleaning. Let me know about possible mold in my handler. (Looked pretty accurate) Sales guy comes out and acts like the world is on fire! How are you? I'm overbooked he says. I take him outside to see the unit and he says it looks like we have a wiring issue and going to have trouble passing inspection. This is the unit that came with the house 13 years ago! Its the same Lennox unit over 100 neighbors had installed by Divosta but I have a wiring issue? Hated the vibe... Sales all day long... Not the family company they claim to be... I told him I had a budget of 5000 dollars and he said this makes it easy as we can't do anything for under 6500. Mind that this all happened in under 3 minutes as he muttered something about my measurements. My house is 1900 square feet with a single unit! We shook... he left... done with Lindstrom! FYI... Got quotes from 2 private companies for a Lennox and a Goodman for 4800 with Install! It's high pressure sales and I feel for all the senior citizens in the area who get taken advantage of. I tried to call this amazing company and there was no manager available to speak with me! They did call THREE times to make sure I would be home for their employees coming out.

I was out shopping; a few miles away towards my condo, the skies were dark and belching thunder. Lightning as well apparently, for upon returning home the blinking stove/microwave were hallmarks of a power outage an hour prior. Worse, my AC was out. I asked my neighbor who was home who verified lightning had hit our building. I feared the worst, that it hit my rooftop AC (replacements cost over $4k with all parts and labor.) My neighbor recommended Lindstrom, as did a second, so I set up a next-day appointment. I was leery after reading some Yelp reviews and their 2.5 star average rating. But should add, I live in a community where neighbors communicate and the reputation of vendors is king. And, this was my experience: The rep from Lindstrom was on-time, knowledgeable, articulate, and was able to diagnose the problem in less than half an hour. And, got it fixed in another half-hour. He still went up to my building's roof (where the AC units are) to give my unit a look-over; turns out it's in good shape. The thunderbolt left some telltale marks, but I thank the heavens it wasn't worse. Others may have had bad experiences, but for me, Lindstrom did an excellent job.

To day my air handler in my closet came off the wall, with the great commercials I thought i would give this company a call, the caller was very cold and couldn't be bothered and told to call back on monday. I'll never bother to call them again .

We have the Lindstrom Service plan. We had our AC serviced in June 2018 and the service guy said it was in fantastic shape and that it checked out completely. Tonight, we are hosting a dinner party and our AC completely went out and is frozen up. (I have a picture, but it won't let me post it). There is a sticker on my Air Handler from Lindstrom that says """"24 Hour Emergency Service"""" with an area where the service can write the work that was done. We called this evening in the middle of the dinner party when the air went out and they said the earliest time they can get here is on Monday (it's Saturday). This is 24 Hour Emergency Service? That is false advertising and very misleading to the consumer and thus Lindstrom has lost my business. Will never be using Lindstrom again. They lost the business of this young family and we will be switching to a company who does not mislead its consumers. The real question is what has Lindstrom done for us with our service contract? Nothing. When it mattered, they were not there.

Am in the process of resolving this matter with svc mgr, being treated fairly and respectfully, will delete and update when complete. If i had contact with upper mngmnt sooner, things might have worked out differently. Four years ago I purchased a brand new carrier unit from them only to find out now that I have a discount card and not a maintenance contract they also constantly try to upsell the service manager is in attentive and does not follow up they charge an extra fee for coming out on Saturday and immediately say the coils are dirty and they haven't been serviced in months this is for five weeks after they did a preventative maintenance still waiting to speak to someone with the name of Lindstrom to address my complaint. And for some reason the earlier review that I wrote back in June is mysteriously not here.

After seeing all the commercials for this company and the quote (I LOVE THESE GUYS) I decided to try them for a service on my air conditioner. On July 7th 2015 The tech come to my house and told me my motor was """"loping"""" that means it makes a rolling sound, so he sold me a motor and a service contract, (or so he implied and it would be good as long as the motor was still in the unit) so it sounded pretty good. The first time I had my service the tech told me """"my new motor was wired wrong and I could have had a fire.He would notify the service manager and it would be taken care of"""" The next guy came and said """"it is the wrong motor so we will get you the right one and install it as soon as it comes in"""" After they installed the new motor and put it all together the next tech said"""" I needed a new fan and it would cost $360.00"""" I asked him why he didn't say it while it was still apart. So I called the """"service manager"""" and he said he would send his foreman over and install it for $150 bucks. Now I find out that the service contract was for 1 year and I had to call them to renew. They said they sent me an invoice but maybe they just forgot to mail it or maybe they didn't put any stamps on it because I never got it.I would imagine that a good company just might have called to ask me if I got the new bill or even if I wanted it. YOU KNOW WHAT? i SURLY DO NOT LOVE THOSE GUYS AND MAYBE IF YOU CALL THEM ASK ALL THE QUESTIONS YOU CAN

Now that my A/C saga has ended here's Lindstrom Air's score card. Note- They installed my AC a few years ago. -Last Thursday A/C goes out -They can't come until Friday between 3-5 -Fan motor needs to be replaced under warranty - back Saturday to replace -No show Saturday (part did not come in) day wasted waiting for that news. -They show up Sunday late afternoon with wrong part, another day waisted. -Monday no show, part still did not come in -Tuesday, part comes in but I'm not on the schedule, call supervisor -They bring part Tuesday evening at 5:30PM and it's fixed in 20 min -Part (free under warranty) Labor ($280+89) after 15% discount for my troubles. Not nearly enough but I was not in a strong bargaining position. Manager (Budd) has still not called me back. I don't like to yell at hourly customer service people who are just following directions. Very frustrated with their company and management team. Would be hard for me to recommend them in the future. Worst of all, I could of fixed it myself if I had access to the part. UPDATE: Budd called me this morning after seeing this review. I appreciate that he did call. We had a good, professional talk about what happened and he made zero excuses. I'm happy with the resolution he offered and trust next time will be better. 2 Stars for what I went through and 4 starts for the resolution.
