Al E.Very rude people! Rude Technician, and rude customer service on the phone. Prices were very extreme.
1,550 dollars for water tank install that, in all took 2 1/4 hours. And they stood around in the front yard for a lot of that time.
Other than walking in and out the tanks.
One would work, and the other stand around. But they said I had to pay time for two people.
1,000 insurance, plus 550 more.
They were called in by Duke Energy. Because I had a 1,000 insurance thru them.
So I guess, they decided that would be good for putting it in. And they came out and said, WE WANT THE 550.00 NOW!!
And then, I had to wait 3 days for them to put it in.
500 an hr is very high even for a plumber.

Due to the fact that I kept asking how much they were charging for the tank. And kept getting ""WE CAN""T, NOT MARK IT UP!"" or""WE GOTTA MAKE MONEY""
Or (WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR OUR MONEY FROM DUKE)
Never a straight answer. Only, we need that money now!
They didn't say how much an hour they were charging. Or price of anything. Just we want 1,550 dollars.
It is a normal 30 gal tank. That Lowes has for 459.00 And I would think they get them for less. And there labor works out at around 250.00 per person, per hour.
For the most part, it was a one man job. And really, one person could carry out the empty tank. I let them use my dolly. And the same with carry in. Thats the only time, they were both doing something, at the same time.
One good plumber could do the entire job in two hours. even with drain time. Figuring drive time here and back. At most, another 40 mins.
(Even at 200.00 an hr. 600.00 labor.) BUT NO! They wanted it all!
They just took advantage of my insurance to make out like FAT RATS.
If not for the fact that Duke called them. I would have said ""Hit the road!"" Talk about taking advantage of the insurance! I will be letting Duke know also.
Nice plumbers but horrid phone / customer service. Rude and accusatory. Don't dare question their work or competence or you'll be spoken to like a dog who peed the floor. Need to learn how to treat customers. Would never have used had I read the numerous online reviews from people who say the same about how they were spoken to. I knew it - you're never the only one when you have a bad experience with a business.
Andrea G.I had several small-ish issues and they quickly took care of them all. They were able to get out to my house in a couple of days [none were emergencies] and were reasonably priced. Very polite & efficient. Will use again, without hesitation.
used them upon recommendation of another business in town.... very hard to reach for questions, and apparently, no one there communicates well with other employees! I spoke with 3 different employees, and got three different stories about a minor project of replacing 2 toilets. their technicians make things up to suit their needs, not the customer's needs, and then lie to their management to cover their butts.
Not very professional or courteous service, I even received an email from management suggesting that i had lied, and that i had no idea what was going on when i not only do know what was going on, I could have done the job myself had I not recently had shoulder surgery, having grown up in a household in which my father had his own plumbing business! He certainly would never have treated a customer like this!
They were prompt however we were told we did not have a plumbing leak. 2 HVAC people later WE found the leak. It was extensive damage and leaking into the crawl space. The plumber went under the house and still said there was no plumbing leak. Guess what? THe fill to the toilet was leaking and extensive damage incurred.
DO NOT USE LIGHTHOUSE PLUMBING!!!
The joys of homeownership. I had to have my sewer ejection pump replaced yesterday. I had a pipe repaired by Lighthouse Plumbing last September because it broke at the pump. The technician made the repair but it took him ""3.5 hours"" despite only being here for 3 hours of which 30-45 minutes was going to the store to get medical supplies and cleaning a wound on his hand from slicing it open on the broken pipe ( proper PPE could have prevented this but I had to pay the hourly rate while he took care of it). I talked to Trish about the hours but I ultimately was told it is what it is. I paid my bill and moved on figuring I just will not use them anymore. My sewer pump went out and I had a different company come out and replace the pump. Upon pulling the pump the new technician note the pipe had been reduced from 2in to 1.5 inch and then connected back to 2in pipe. This was completely wrong and he informed me of this. He replaced the pump, wired it up, and replaced the pipe in 1.5 hours.
I called Lighthouse Plumbing today to request a refund for the improper work and was told they just replaced the part that was broken and that there was nothing wrong with the way it was done. I informed them of the new plumbers findings and the reason you do not reduce the pipe size. He said it doesn't hurt the pump and the plumber from roto-rooters was full of shit and they only know how to clean drains. Luckily I called the pump manufacturer and inquired about the reduced pipe diameter and was told the exact same thing, reducing pipe size increases back pressure on the pump making the pump work harder leading to premature failure and also voids pump warranty.
Lighthouse Plumbing refused to refund the money despite the work being done incorrectly. I have disputed the charges with the credit card company and will have to jump through a few hoops to complete my dispute but capital one said the dispute sounds valid and as long as I provide evidence it should be easily taken care of.
A good company owns their mistakes, Lighthouse Plumbing is not a good company and this is my warning to all my Facebook friends to stay away from them. They were great until something is disputed, then they don't give a crap.
John S.Quick response, showed up on time, cost was what you would expect. They don't try to scam you and up the price. Highly recommend Lighthouse, don't use anyone else!
