We had an issue with our sink being clogged. The plumber came in and unclogged the sink. He then said our garbage disposal was leaking so he installed a new garbage disposal. I don't have an issue with the work that he completed, but I have a real issue with the price he charged us. Initially, he said it would be $360 to unclog the sink. When my husband told him to go ahead and replace the garbage disposal, the total then became $860. The disposal that he installed is $99 at Home Depot. Everyone knows that contractors receive a discount on the items they purchase so we know it was bought for less than the $99. In total, he wasn't at our home much more than an hour. How can you charge someone these fees for one hour of work? Five years ago we had to replace the disposal. The gentleman charged $75 to replace it - that was with us purchasing the unit. I feel like we were completely ripped off.

Horrible, They gave us life time of agony.
We were never undergone so much agony in lifetime !

They Charged a sump pump and convinced me to take member ship which I graciously accepted and joined.

Now see What I got !!!

They gave me an appointment for replacing the electric cook top with Gas Cook top on Friday 1 To 4 PM
And they called at 4 PM and told that the Electric Cook Top needs to removed by a certified electrician and they reached out with the same information 2 days prior which is a lie.

They said they won't do anything until an electrician removes the cooktop, and if he does, then they can come on Friday. I called the electrician and paid him emergency charges and get the work done and called Lifeline back, but now they say they can't make it !!!

We almost pleaded him that we have a function the weekend and removed our Cooktop and we want to fix it immediately. No body even damn care us... as if we are beggars... I think we are worse than beggars to lifeline !! I think this is how they treat their customers or at-least treated us like that.

We spent the whole day waiting for them and paid additional charges to Electrician and removed everything and waiting waiting like crazy for them; Call Lifeline many times, always the answering service people pick the phone and ask the entire story and say that they passed the information and nothing happens.

Now the gentlemen calls at 10:00 PM to say they come on Saturday between 10 AM to 01:00 PM.

So we believed them again like the fish believes the fishermen; Now we ruined another day. Nobody comes and no one picks the call. The answering service people asks the same questions and takes all the information and again passes the information !!! no idea to whom and we indulge in frustration and self pity again !!!

Never ever in our entire life's we felt so low and deceived from a service provider. We trusted lifeline and joined thinking that joining in a membership will help us to get our plumbing needs taken care ! But it made our experience worse and left us in agony

Awesome job all around. Our ejector pump had been giving us problems so they came out and replaced it. Our technician was friendly, explained everything in terms I the non plumber could understand and he was able to do the swap out quickly. He was honest when I had him look at our sump pump he told me it didn't need to be replaced. Thumbs up.

I have been a customer of Lifeline for over three years. I have well an septic and very old house with old pipes. I have waited to until now to write my review. I have never had an issue getting an appointment. They are very responsive and accommodating to,your schedule. The servicemen are very friendly. I have had my issues on a few calls and whether or not things were handled correctly but after I had enough of feeling upset I emailed the owner. He was quick to make things right with me. Took the time to listen to everything, read through my records. Keep records of everything done to your house. It helps. Then was able to come to a conclusion. Followed up with me to make sure all is good.
I would recommend this company and I will use them again if I have plumbing problems.

Ryan came out to bid and assess the installation of a tankless hw heater I bought online.
Most other companies don't want to do this cuz they want to mark up the equipment- after getting a super-affordable price for the labor Tim came out a few days later and did a superior clean installation, I'm now only heating water when I need it!
No games, no hassles, pure professionals. THIS is the way to run a plumbing business.
Call Lifeline, they KNOW tankless solutions and you should get rid of your money-sucking tank asap!
I have other upcoming projects around the house and will be calling Lifeline- you should too!

Super fast and efficient service. Joe W was super knowledgeable and through. The company that set up my furnace did not connect the AC properly. Joe fixed that and ensured everything was done really well. He explained all the details to me. I would definitely use Lifeline for future needs.

I have removed and installed many kitchen faucets. My condo was built in 1975 and the faucet needed to be replaced but unfortunately I could not turn the hot and cold water valves under the sink off so I could change the faucet. The valves were old and if forced to be turned would have most likely broke and I would have a flood on my hands. I needed my Home Owners property mgmt. company to turn off the water in the whole building so the valves could be replaced. Since I was going to have the water shut off in the building for a couple of hours I thought it best to use a plumber. I myself am a property manager for single family homes and I have all sorts of tradesmen available to me but I asked my Home Owners Association for the name of the plumber that works on my building. They gave me Life Line Plumbing which I had never heard of but I figured with such a small job why not use someone familiar with my building.
I called Life Line on a Tuesday at about 5:00pm and since I need to give the other condo owners 24 hour notice prior to turning off the water I made the appointment for 10:00am Thursday. In my head I'm thinking $10.00 a most apiece for 2 valves and around $100.00 for labor even though it's a 30 minute job at most everybody is entitled to make some money for their labor. The water was turned off at 10:00 and was going to be turned back on at 2:00pm.
At 11:00am I called to see what they delay was and I was told I was next and I would get a call when Sam the plumber was on his way. Sam called at 11:30 and got here around noon.
He looked at the 2 valves in need of replacement and quoted me $290.00 for the job. I was in shock and before I could say anything he said for an additional $290.00 he would put the faucet in??? Of course with the $39.00 fee to drive out I was at $619.00. I told him I would put the faucet in after he changed the valves as I had done that many times before and at worst it ould take 15 minutes especially with 2 new valves installed. He scratched his head and said ok I can take $200.00 off so my total bill would be $419.00. I was in a bind as the water would go on in about an hour and a half and that wasn't enough time to get one of my plumbers out so I had him do the job. The total work time for everything was under an hour.
When I spoke with my plumber he was in shock as the standard price for what Sam di would have been: Parts $20.00 and labor $125.00 so the total would be $145.00. Even with the $200.00 deduction I still paid more than double what I should have. I have been a property manager for over 22 years and all I can say is shame on me.
When I asked Sam the plumber why their prices were so high he told me that they have 16 trucks on the road and 5 full time office staff so their overhead has to be covered in their prices. Good Luck Life Line because I think you are going to screw the wrong person and you will need a life line.

I had an excellent experience with this company. They did a great job, clean work, placed boot covers on before they came into my home and were easy to work with. They sent an outstanding service person, Ryan Boesche - who did a great job and explained everything. I give Ryan and this company an A+ .

Thank you for being so professional and having such an outstanding company. I am unable to say enough about this company or how happy I am at the job they did. It was a major job, other companies would not touch. Thank you again!!!

I called this company after I had a pipe freeze and break and cause massive flooding. The person on the phone said it would be $39 for a diagnostic. I already shut off the water and began to clean up the mess. Before the technician arrived (Ryan) I suspected the break was behind my bathroom sink. I asked the tech over the phone if he would like me to remove the sink. He said yes. He showed up on a weekday about 4 hours after my initial call during normal business hours. He used a screw gun to remove a drywall panel and in about 5-10 minutes found the problem. The cap on top of the water pipe on the cold water side of my sink had blown off due to freezing. He soldered a new cap on the pipe and it took about 10 minutes. There was water dripping out of the light fixture in the same bathroom about 4 feet from where the leak was in water pipe. He said that the two leaks were unrelated and that the water leaking from the light fixture was ""snow melt"". The previous two days the temperature in the area was no higher than 10 degrees fahrenheit.

He tested the integrity of his solder job and couldn't shut off the hot water angle stop on the sink. He informed me he didn't have an angle stop on the truck and had to go get one. There is a home depot right across the street from my house, not sure where he got the shut off valve from but the part is less than $10. He returned in about 15 minutes and installed the valve. He tested for leaks. No leaks.

The final bill to solder the cap on a pipe and screw on an angle stop shut off valve was $440. The actual time spent doing the work was 20 minutes and there was about 15 minutes to procure a common shut off valve.

I called lifeline and spoke with their service manager to question what I thought was extremely high pricing. I was told that $39 for diagnosis isn't for diagnosis it's ""for driving out to your house"". I explained that the water mitigation company that took down the wall said that yes the water leaking from the bathroom light was a direct result of the broken pipe and that the diagnosis I received, ""snow melt"" was deemed by service master as ridiculous. There was no reply to my claim that the diagnosis for leaking water in my light fixture was related to the major pipe leak 4 feet away. I asked why I was charged $119 to have a technician drive to home depot across the street and get an $8 valve that was not on his truck. The service manager said that his technician could have received another call and that they could in essence lose income by being tied up procuring the valve I needed. I actually never asked the technician to replace the valve. I don't know why he didn't just cap the line and test the water.

The service manager explained to me that there are other companies that will charge less but that's because they have less overhead. I asked the technician for a quote for the install of a 50 gal power vent water heater. He said that it would be $2400. The service manager confirmed that was the going rate.

My final bill from lifeline to solder a cap on my cold water pipe was as follows:

$192 to diagnose the leak (cap blown off pipe due to freezing - 10 minutes)
$129 to solder cap on pipe (10 minutes)
$119 to drive to home depot and retrieve cold water shutoff valve (5 minutes to screw on valve and 15-20 minutes drive time)

$440 total.

I had the power vent water heater installed by A&T Plumbing Inc. & Son. Lee Pearson from A&T quoted the install of a very high quality power vent water heater ($1079 for the wh alone) for $1450 total. Almost a thousand dollars below the lifeline plumbing quote. I paid less in labor for the install of a power vent water heater (my original wh was conventionally vented) than I did to have lifeline solder a 75 cent cap on a pipe.

The lifeline service manager was adamant that he stood behind the price that I had to pay and it was a fair price.
