Another update here. Mike showed up on short notice and helped me get a corroded shutoff valve off of the pipe. Great guy, great company, great value!

We contacted Lifeline for a water heater issue and ended up replacing it. They were quick to respond, fast, reliable, and polite. The final job appears well done, making sure that all the connections and valves were up to code. The only minus was that I was charged $205.00 for ""difficult access."" Yes the area is a little tight but we were never charged extra for this job in the past (also checked with relatives who have a similar situation but was not billed extra either by other plumbers). This additional fee seems rather excessive in my opinion. I recommend you shop around first, if you have time, before committing to them, unless you prefer paying more. Overall, the work was done professionally, but price-wise they are on the higher end.

Called in a Saturday to have my two toilets fixed. I was told the tech would be there between 1-4 so I made my self available. No one showed up, I called and was told I had no appointment but that they could come out Wednesday morning. I told them someone needed to be here at 8 not a 2 hour window. 8:30 no one showed, so I called and got the answer we had a bunch of plumbers walk out this morning. So apparently that is my problem. I told him to cancel the appointment I would find someone else. He said his guy was on his way. Seemed more concerned about the guy in the way and not having work, than the fact that I was waiting again. The guy tried telling me this is a one time deal we wouldn't be were we are if this is how we did business, look at all good reviews. I would not recommend this company.

I needed a water heater I bought at Home Depot installed. Sam D. (30 years experience in plumbing) from Lifeline plumbing in East Dundee came over and inspected my water heater, piping, and valves. Some of which needed to be replaced to install the new heater. He gave me a price of $910.00 for parts and labor. When I asked him how long that estimate was good for he said just today. Then less than a minute later he changed it to next week. Then when he was leaving he gave me a written estimate for $910.00 and on the bottom of the estimate paperwork it is printed ""ALL ESTIMATES ARE GOOD FOR 30 DAYS FROM PROPOSAL DATE ABOVE"". How can I trust this guy (with 30 years experience) to do a good job when he can't even be straight about the estimate! Just because I'm a senior citizen with gray hair doesn't mean you should try and pressure me into a dishonest estimate time.
I went with Brian & Sons out of Montgomery,IL. Paul the plumber- looked at everything and for the same work gave me an estimate for $700.00. I hired him. Very professional. He did an outstanding job!

Bob and John came to my home to install new A/C units and were timely, professional and clean. What a pleasure it was to work with them, as well as the Lifeline company. Lifeline worked with my crazy schedule and made new units possible for us within a week of diagnosis of the issue. Bob and John kept me updated every step of the way and anticipated issues they've routinely seen, such as alarm system issues with smoke detectors being set off and electrical interruptions. Because these two were so well versed in what they do, this job went off without a hitch and they were in and out before a complete work day was up for me. Great job Bob, John and the Lifeline team. Thanks!

My neighbor took their word that they follow Illinois plumbing code and did not think that they would steer them wrong. They did not follow our Village's codes. Lifeline with this same # on their truck for this location (i saw the truck just today) did this 'work' see pictures and attached descriptions. They used a solid pipe and buried it to end at our property line where a stagnant nasty mosquito puddle sat with an exposed jagged sawed pipe. I have a 2 year old and besides this 'work' being so wrong! It is a danger for my child! The village of North Aurora public works came by today and helped my neighbor with what to tell these people. She amazingly is giving them another chance to re-route the pipe into their backyard away from the houses. I do not know what this company was thinking when they did this-what result would they achieve other than making a nasty puddle with an exposed pipe and send the sump pump water over to my yard while they were at it?! Also they didn't call JULIE before this pictured work. I hope this problem will be fixed asap!

My friend recommended this place when I was looking for someone to service my mom's furnace. It turned out she needed a replacement for her old one, which they installed the next day. Later she had a service call for a minor adjustment. After working with them several times, this is what she emailed me:

""That company is really cooperative and fast on their service calls. I'm glad you suggested I go with Lifeline Plumbing because the whole staff is pleasant to work with. Thank you!""

Lifeline Pluming is a great company. We have had the pleasure of working with Mike on both of our service calls. He's extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. I would definitely recommend them!!

Our chief complaint with this Lifeline Plumbing is that we purchased an Angie's List coupon for this provider prior to receiving work done. Because we had already purchased a coupon, we felt locked into the price which we were quoted which was $100 more than other licensed plumbers in the area even after the Angie's List coupon was applied. I called Lifeline to politely confirm the price was accurate which they confirmed for us. It's really unfortunate that a $30 part and 10 minutes of labor, after a $50 coupon discount, was $200. We will not be recommending or using Lifeline for any future plumbing needs even though the work was completed accurately, on time, and customer service was responsive.

I had new counters put into my kitchen, and the installers unhooked my kitchen sink and garbage disposal. I figured I needed a plumber, and besides, while they were here, I had 3 toilets to swap out and I figured I could kill 4 birds in 1 shot. All the toilets were sitting at their location ready to go. Lifeline would not give any rough quotes on the phone, and had a minimum charge just to come out. The 2 guys that appeared were somewhat arrogant and unfriendly and it was socially awkward, and as I asked the their hourly rate, rough cost for a toilet, etc, they refused to answer any questions. After inspecting my house and sizing me up, I was given a quote of $525 to hook up my kitchen sink, $385 for a garbage disposal, and $1270 for the 3 toilets. That's right $2200 for their services, and maybe 4 hours of work.. I hooked up the sink myself in 45 minutes and the garbage disposal in about 7 minutes. It was simply a matter of putting back what the counter guys had simply disconnected. It was a no brainier and that alone saved me $910. Lifeline wanted $900 per hour! Lifeline is a RIP OFF. I then contacted another Plumber who agreed to install my toilets for $500 instead of $1200. I think Lifeline sizes up a customer, looks around at the kind of house you own, and then tries to take you for as much $$ as possible. You would think they have a standard range for a toilet installation that they can quote over the phone. Instead I paid their service charge and said GOOD BYE LIFELINE! Terrible business model.
