Follow-up review for Lickety Split AC, Plumbing, Electric Located at 11750 Philips Hwy Jacksonville, FL 32256 ________________________________________ I recently posted a review of my experience with Lickety Split and their technician, Jacob. Unfortunately, I need to provide an update highlighting my dissatisfaction with their services. Jacob assured me that I would receive a full copy of the quote that afternoon. Despite contacting Jacob at least five times, I still haven't received the proper quote. Jacob tells me that the office will send it over each time, but it never arrives. This lack of follow-through is disappointing and unprofessional. Part of Jacob's quote included a fan motor, which would cost thousands. However, I can't be certain because I never received the detailed quote as promised. Additionally, Jacob told me that I did not have a shut-off valve for the air handler. He was incorrect--I had two shut-off mechanisms. Jacob's oversight could be due to either incompetence or an attempt to deceive me by charging me for unnecessary work. To add insult to injury, I later hired another plumber who charged $120 to inspect and install a new capacitor. This starkly contrasts with the nearly $525 I paid Lickety Split, a difference of $400. This experience demonstrates that some plumbers charge reasonable rates for AC repairs, but Lickety Split is not one of them. Considering these issues, I strongly advise against using Lickety Split AC, plumbing, and electric. Although Jacob may be a fantastic employee, the company's pricing practices and lack of transparency are highly concerning.

I would like to retract my high recommendation!!! We believe it is a bait and switch company, and we are out over $800.00. Going with a local, privately owned and experienced owner.

Stop using """"bait and switch"""" tactics. It is an insult. Don't need to pay $400.00+ every time you come out

Please do not think this company cares about you, your property, or anything more than getting paid. I know it is a for profit corporation but geez at least try to act like you care. We recently had our septic tank and drain field replaced by Crown Construction (outstanding, see our review) as Lickety Split is nothing more than a sales company. Empty promises, shady contracts (scribble on an estimate sheet is not a contract), no one on site during any of the work. The only person to come by unannounced was Andrew to see if the job was done and they could get paid!! Unbelievable. Lickety contacted our loan company a month before the permit even arrived saying the job was completed to get paid. I received a call at 8am the day after the job was finally completed after 2 days turned into 8 from Andrew seeing if they could mark our order as complete and not to worry about contacting the loan company he would at some point. Yes, he did contact them because I had 2 emails from them 15 minutes prior to his call to me. Shameless!! *Update the additional sod was brought out after a very long contentious call Andrew made to us after the review posted. Job is finally completed to our satisfaction.*

Totally burned....Charged credit card $99 for setting an plumbing appointment for a PVC elbow leak. Service tech called and said they would probably need to replace the PVC connected to the elbow because it usually is old and cracking. Plumber repaired elbow but did not replace PVC. They charged credit card another $882 for one hour of work. They did not credit the $99 back as a down payment on the invoice. They will not return my numerous calls or e-mails. The plumbing invoice was over inflated and the $99 was theft. The plumber also left a mess.

I had Lickety split come over to inspect my air conditioner before the summer heat really kicks in. It was easy to book the appointment. Appointment date the tech arrived on time and appeared to be knowledgeable. They recommend adding a filter that would replace the standard filter, however, it was way more than I expected (about $1400), which is way above my budget. He also mentioned something about my compressor, but then it wasn't on the inspection report. So, far the ac is doing well. I would reach out to them for my next inspection.

Yikes. I would stay far away from this company. It felt like some sort of ponzi scheme/hostage situation. We hired them for a basic ac check and to clean the coils. They ac guy fiddled around texting, talking on the phone, etc for over FOUR HOURS when we have had this job done for under an hour in the past. After back and forth consulting with his boss at 11 pm at night he quoted us thousands of dollars of repairs. We had another small local company come out the next day. They diagnosed the problem in under an hour, said our coils weren't cleaned, and fixed our problem promptly for hundreds (also the problem wasn't at all what the Lickety Split guy had said. I seriously think he had no clue what he was doing and was just pretending). Lickety Split Jacksonville is some sort of scam i'm afraid. I literally had to ask them man to leave at 11 pm bc this was getting so ridiculous. He was supposed to be at our house between 12-4 that day. He clearly had no intention of fixing our problem and since he had been """"checking"""" the ac unit for 4 hours our house was approaching 90 degrees at 11 pm at night. So bizarre will never recommend this sketchy company.

Just had my servicing done with Cameron. He was the same tech that came out for my """"emergency"""" issue. Absolutely amazing. So respectful of my home, kept me updated with every step he was doing, was so respectful of my time knowing that I was simultaneously working. He did an incredible job, set proper expectation and clear concise communication goes such a long way with me especially since I know nothing about this stuff. Request him!!!

Do not use this company! After having the company supposedly come out to a property I am currently under contract with to do a pump out and an inspection because they said a pump out was required to do an inspection and paying $895 for tech to call me while he was at the property supposedly to tell me my septic tank was completely destroyed with roots, It was out of code and gave me a quote for a new tank and drainfield of $33,000. After contacting the office multiple times I finally receives a report 2 days later that had no photos to send to the seller to show the repairs that were needed. I, my realtor, the sellers realtor reached out for a week before I finally received a phone call from who I am assuming was a """"manager """". My realtor even reached out to the techs for details on the repairs needed and he told my realtor when she reached out to them that they did not need to do a pump out bc the tank was practically empty, so I said I would like a refund because I paid for a pump out, but it was not done the manager then told me that rather they pump it or not they go out prepared to pump so I would not be getting a refund even though I was told specifically that $495 of the $895 I paid was for a pump out. I was told I would not get a refund because it's not their fault that a pump out wasn't needed And that the seller """" Should have known that their tank needed didn't need to be pumped"""" when I asked about photos with the report, I was told they couldn't release photos to me, even though they were released the report to me because I am not the owner even though I got the report and paid $895 for the inspection. I told them the seller has reached out multiple times to their office to try and get photos to show proof of the damage and why anyone would be paying $33,000 for repair. All he wanted to do was continuously say that they try to provide the best customer service when I the customer needed a problem solved because of them, and he had no solutions and then continued to boast about how quick they are and how other customers just had septic tanks put in and they're ecstatic because of their work. Due to his arrogance I hung up the phone angrily. I had another company come out today to do an inspection because their first one obviously wasn't going to work for the sellers. The company came out and said it did need out a pump and the tank was completely fine and passed the inspection with no problems. Nothing was wrong with my tank. do not use this company! Their problem-solving skills are in adequate, they are Liars, And will charge you three times the cost that other companies charge for repairs

For one they didn't fix my problem ended up having to buy a new pump and that's after they charged my cc 850 dollars. Still trying to get an itemized receipt. Don't use this company. They want a cc upfront the tech was super nice though.
