Josh S.No up front estimate, halfway through a 4 hour job with 90% of the parts supplied and with no alternative to repair the only shower in the house, $1255. STAY AWAY!!!
ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS
I engaged with LHR to fix a non-leaking mini-split in Windham in a rental unit. They sent two techs out to do look at the situation. This was not a free-estimate and in fact, they charged some $800 for the couple hours they spent looking at the problem. They weren't sure what the problem was but had some theories.
Our tenants were without heat, of course, but LHR said the best they could do was come back in a couple of weeks to fix the problem. They came back, tightened fixtures and recharged the system and charged a few thousand for that. But as it turned out, that didn't address the problem at all--just eliminated one theory. I asked them when they could back and fix it for good and they put me, again, at the back of the line, three weeks out.
Right before that next visit, the owner lets me know that they declined to do any further work because they were unsure how to fix the problem. They refused to respond to my request to at least give back the money spent on the diagnostic visit, which obviously was of no value.
So after some two months of our tenant having no heat, and us having to give back rent money and paying thousands of dollars to LHR, we found Windham Mechanical who promptly fixed the problem in a week. (I highly recommend those guys, btw.)
LHR offers a slick persona--beautiful trucks, good phone manners, so many text messages and emails (""We are 5 minutes out""), weekly spam emails and even spam text messages (""Time to clean your furnace"")--that you['d think they'd be state-of-the-art on the service side. That was not our experience. I'd be careful hiring them or trusting their word.
We had 3 toilets, 2 faucets, shower valve/trim, and a whole water filtration system put in. Completed in one day, efficient and professional. Thank you Jeff!
Called them to replace a sump pump. The technician did a great job, but the company charged me too much for the project. I will not recommend this company to anyone nor will do any business with it. If anyone want to replace an sump pump, I suggest that he buy a sump pump on Amazon and hire a plumber to do the job. This way he may save 2/3 of the expenses this companied charged me!
I had a leaky pipe and was looking for a reliable and honest company to fix my problem. Mark did an outstanding job in a professional and timely manner. I will definitely use LHR for my plumbing needs in the future.
Tech was very professional in all aspects. Covid included, although I hate the Covid control that the world is portraying. It's an attack on Liberty. The co. was attentive to my needs, as it was a surprise that my counters were short notice to be installed. So, I needed plumbing help immediately and after calling two co's LHR the third responded immediately. The job was about an hour and it was accomplished rapidly with quality service. Previously, I recommended LHR to my neighbor as I was told they do quality work and they were very satisfied. A toilet was purchased and installed with minimal down time. The President of the co., worked at another co., and installed a high pressure valve and other water fixtures in my house, a well system. Work was done 5 years ago and is still in top condition. It appears that quality is their mission. Can't say enough about LHR.
DO NOT USE LHR!! If you don't want to read the whole review, in short, they put in a faulty piece when fixing my hot water and after being told by the manager that they would provide some sort of refund, I never got a call back from him or refunded despite reaching out nicely to them for over a month.
Longer version: I had problems with my hot water. When they came to figure out the problem, they told me it was likely my shower pistols, so they replaced them (and charged me a pretty penny). When that didn't work, they recommended replacing my mixing valve on my boiler, to which I agreed. They replaced it and my hot water was still not hot. So they told me that if that did not work, I would either need to replace my coil, quoting me ~$1500 or get an electric water heater which would cost ~$1700. Instead of immediately jumping to those and spending that much money, I got a second opinion. Another company came out and looked at it. They pulled out the mixing valve which had just been replaced by LHR and IMMEDIATELY knew the source of the problem: a faulty mixing valve. It was missing two pieces on it that were necessary to function correctly. They replaced it, for a much better price, and my hot water was suddenly hot again.
So I called LHR and spoke with the manager, expressing my disappointment in how much I paid for a job done incorrectly. He assured me that he would call me back to discuss a refund. I never heard back from him. I called at least 3 or 4 more times to try to reach him, and each time he was ""not in the office"" or ""on the phone"" and was assured by the secretary that he would return my phone call. This has been ongoing for about 2 months. I have never heard from him. I am incredibly disappointed in this company. I highly do NOT recommend them. Do yourself a favor and use another company.
