Prior to this last week, I didn't know of many plumbers, but I am glad I was pointed to Nathan and his team at L&G Drain Cleaning & Plumbing Repair. They are knowledgeable and very honest -- so much so they had to bow out of the running of fixing my pipe leak by giving another company, who I already hired for a different, but related job, the opportunity. Long story short, Nathan instantly recognized that the job was turning into a bigger job (e.g. full repiping of my entire basement and replacing all copper lines). All in all, he looked out for my best interest over his own -- despite how businesses, perhaps like his, are getting hit by COVID-19 these days.

I wish I could've given Nathan and team some business this time around, but I'll definitely keep them in mind in case other plumbed areas of my house go haywire.

Nathan came out to help us with a kitchen sink clog (not at sink but well down sewer drain line). Turns out our drain was installed improperly prior to our moving into our house. After half hour on the roof trying to snake the drain Nathan let us know we would have to do some re-plumbing to get the plumbing up to code and able to be snaked. He didnt charge us for his time that day and offered a very reasonable price to repair the problem the very next day. Friendly, experienced, prompt, very fair - definitely 5 Stars.

We had a toilet flow problem we couldn't fix and our regular plumber didn't think they could resolve, so they told us to call L&G to take care of it. They came out the next day and assessed the problem with a video camera. The owner (Nathan) explained they had to come back in a few days with more equipment to really clean out the almost 60 years of gunk he showed me on the camera that had led to the clog in the main drain of our house, but he was quick to welcome and answer any questions I had and made sure to show me the equipment he was using and how it worked. When I asked him about a potential clog in a downspout drain outside that was completely unrelated to the original issue, he said ""No problem. We'll take care of that for you while we have the equipment here. No extra charge."" Outstanding all around!!

Definitely would not recommend company. I have worked with plenty of contractors over the years of being in the construction industry, so we all know they aren't the most reliable and on type of people, but out of every company I have worked with I would have to say L&G has been the most frustrating. VERY rarely did they ever show up on time or even show up at all when scheduled - I would have to get in touch with Nathan over and over again before getting an answer as to if they were ever going to show up or not that day and almost 99% of the time there would be some sort of an excuse. When they would show up just to simply jet a line, they would do good work, but would usually have to come out multiple times after because the issue would arise again and that would normally be another month or two down the road until they would come back. Been trying to work with them for over 2 years now with plenty of work for them to do, but obviously that wasn't good enough. I get they are a small company, but still they should have never agreed to work if they knew they couldn't handle it and have me hanging out to dry for months waiting for them to show up numerous times over and over again. Very frustrating to say the least.

My main sewer line became blocked and nothing worked to clear it, so I called this plumbing company. The fellow on the phone was very nice, said he could be there in 2 hours, and, unlike other plumbers, gave me an estimated cost for running a snake through the line to clean it out: $500.00!!!!!
I went to my local tool rental place, Sun Belt Rentals, and rented a machine for $41. I had never used one before so it took me twice as long to use it than a ""pro"" would take; it took me 15 minutes. I had rented and returned the machine to the rental place in less than 2 hours.
While I can appreciate that the plumbing company is in business to make a profit, there is a point at which the amount of profit becomes excessive. I wouldn't mind paying $500 if I thought that I was getting $500 worth of service. But running a snake through a sewer line is unskilled labor.
My advice is for the homeowner to try the task themselves before allowing themselves to be exploited by greedy service companies.

L&G Drain Cleaning & Plumbing Repair provided excellent service and I highly recommend them! They were able to respond to request for hydro-jetting kitchen sink drain 4 days faster than other service providers - at very reasonable rate AND with an extended warranty.

Work crew arrived on a Saturday (day after call was made) to investigate the situation: attempted to snake the drain, then employed the hydro-jet. In addition, the owner agreed to install new garbage disposal at no additional cost.

Crew lead was very professional while discussing the situation and making sure we understood the underlying problem and appropriate follow through maintenance in order to avoid this situation again.
Kitchen and sink area were left in a reasonably neat and clean state (no huge messes left behind).

Now...crew arrived four hours late. That said, owner promptly called ten minutes past the appointed time to knock $50 off the original quote and explained that current job was much more extensive than expected and that there would be a delay of several hours. Crew continued to update me on status of their expected arrival time.

Overall, L & G Drain Cleaning and Plumbing Repair's responsiveness, communication, professionalism, and excellent work results, along with reasonable price and bonus values more than made up for a four hour delay...versus the competitor company's four day delay in getting the problem fixed!

I have always been a fan of supporting local small business. I had the misfortune of VA Power boring through my main sewer line as they did some electrical work at my townhome about a year ago. Needless to say, water backed up in my home, ruined some of my floors, and running water was off limits until L&G stepped in.

I called, and the team arrived ASAP on a Saturday. They identified the problem and put me in touch with the owner of the company. He presented very helpful advice on how to address the utility company to get my money back. They excavated the sewer line and patched everything up taking tons of pictures as they went along. Super fair prices, great workmanship, and I've since collected every penny owed to me for the mishap. 5 stars team!

These guys came out fast and did an awesome job. They work tirelessly to clear my clogged washer drain. Friendly guys!! Price was very reasonable too. The magnet they left is handy as we WILL be calling them next time we have any plumbing problems.

We had L&G Drain come out to unclog our basement toilet and shower drain. They were very responsive, I was able to get an appointment that afternoon. The reason for the 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is because of poor communication. My appointment window was between 4 and 5, I received a phone call around 5:30 saying that they were about 15 minutes away. They had to come back the next day to clean the sewer pipe and said they would be at the house between 9 and 10 AM. My wife who was waiting for them emailed me at 10:30 asking where they were. I called the office and was told once again that they were 15 minutes away. We were also told that we would be shown a camera view of the cleaned sewer pipe, which we were not shown.

Nathan and Dion are awesome. We had new countertops installed and needed a plumber to reconnect our new faucet, dishwasher and garbage disposal.

From the beginning, it was easy to work with Nathan. He is incredibly responsive (you can text with him) and he returns calls quickly.

Dion came by to do the work, was friendly and got everything working properly! After some discussions with Nathan we decided we wanted to install a toilet and a sink so we scheduled another appointment for them to come back out!
In addition, they used a state of the art sewer camera inside the pipes to see if there was blockage by tree roots- FREE of charge.
They did a wonderful job, quick, clean and efficient.

I will definitely be calling them for all/any plumbing needs (only wish I found them sooner). Thanks!!
