Called at 8am to get my drain from my new washing machine, snaked. She said. ""after 10"". I told her I had to be somewhere at 3. She said it would be long before that with time to fix it. Waited 6.5 hrs! Tech finally showed up at 4:45. Time for him to clock out! Said no time to look at it so will come back tomorrow. Why did be even come at that point ? Will never call again.

I feel that I was overcharged. I received a text at 11:00 that technician would be there in 30 minutes, when technician was finished he took photos of the wall heater that he was unable to fix. I asked if he could send the photos to me for future reference. I received the photos at 12:30. Additionally, I made an appointment to have the gas connection for a gas stove and wall heater brought up to code. The technician arrived ill-prepared, and had to travel back to the shop for parts. So, a large portion of the hour was spent in travel. I do not recommend. They charge $150/ hr. and nickel and dime a simple job into a $310 charge.

BEWARE OF THE HOME WATER PRESSURE REGULATOR SCAM!!!

We had a plumber come out for an unrelated matter and he measured the water pressure in our house at 70psi which he said was high and could damage our appliances (washing machine, dishwasher). He offered to adjust the 4 year old water pressure regulator on the waterline to the inside of the house and mentioned that the spring inside could ""break"" and the unit would have to be replaced at a cost of $450. He adjusted the regulator and of course it broke and now the pressure was 100. We agreed to the replacement and another plumber was sent out and replaced it within 30 minutes. He called his office and they said our bill was $729 and his office would send us a receipt. After 2 phone calls and an email we received a bill with no breakdown of parts and labor. Another call ""NO ITEMIZED BILL""!! Since doing some research we later learned that 70psi is at the upper limit of acceptable pressure so this should never had to been replaced in the first place.

WE WILL NEVER USE LEWIS PLUMBING AGAIN.

My pressure regulator blew up after the city turned the water back on after a maintenance shut down. Lewis Plumbing came to the rescue promptly and got me back online. This company is SB family run and is my ""go to"" anytime I have a plumbing issue. Thank you, AAA+

Michael and Antonio at Lewis Plumbing did very profession and prompt job replacing old damaged cast iron pipe with ABS. They assessed the problem and came up with a limited but complete solution. They were very responsive with same day service and completed the job much quicker than I expected.

Customer Beware How They Charge You

Lewis Plumbing doesn't make the pricing structure clear upfront and will nickel and dime you. You'll be charged for inflated dispatch times. For example, my plumber charged me for being dispatched at 7:20 and somehow it took him over a half hour to drive the three blocks to my house. The manager explained that half hour drive time as the driver could have been filling up for fuel. Seriously. I'm supposed to pay a driver a 140/hr to take their time to fill up their vehicle.

While the installation work was fine, their system of billing was not. They could have taken off the half hour overcharge and gained a repeat customer. Instead, they insisted on me paying the 140/hr rate for the dispatch time and won't get any future business from me

Just want to say that I can echo some of the negative comments here about finding things that are ""needing work"" that were not part of the original call. Also was treated very rudely by technician and then charged an inordinate amount for the work that was done. Would like to believe its an isolated event but just adding my vote to other similar ones.

Lewis Plumbing repaired our toilet the same morning we contacted them. Mike was helpful and efficient. His repair was easier than we anticipated. We will use them again.

Installed hot water heater, recirculating pump. Communication was good and job done timely. Small billing discrepancy however they immediately took care of issue. Recommend. I will use them in future.

Five stars to Cristian for coming out on a Saturday night to fix our busted toilet. He was so kind and communicative! He did a great job keeping things clean, removing the toilet, finding the problem and fixing it. He did an excellent job and we are so thankful for him!
