I'd give NO STARS if possible. I used Lewis Plumbing three months ago to clean out my sewer drain. Terrible job - I had to have another company come today, to repeat the process because the sewer backed up. I normally do this annually (and I regularly view the drain on the camera so I know what a year's worth of roots look like). I am out $130 and would not recommend Lewis to anyone. When I spoke with the office today, they were very defensive, offered nothing and of course don't warranty their work. Why would they? They do a lousy job. Three months! That's ridiculous. Roots don't grow THAT fast! They simply did not eliminate them in the first place.

I've used two plumbers before for an annual catch-valve snake problem. I enjoy mutually respectful relationships with all professionals I use. I'd used Lewis one time before along with another Plumber.
When my tenant's tub and toilet backed up I grabbed a handy Invoice from Lewis Plumbing. The one time I'd used them did not present a problem or I would not have called them this time. I will not call them again. As I read their more positive reviews, I am noticing something has gone amiss as they were from a couple of years ago.....new person managing office?
I told the owner (who dispatched his plumber) how to get to the catch valve attached to the back of my house. To simplify this so that a monkey could follow the directions I posted big ""LEWIS PLUMBING"" signs to the gate they needed to enter (between my neighbor's front yard and my back yard) and another huge sign in the same line of vision (directly on the catch valve in front of him that he needed to snake) that is attached to my house. On the note I also requested the Invoice be placed on my front porch. When I got home it wasn't there, which seemed unusual.
Figuring my tenant's issue was resolved (and bill would be mailed) my tenant texted at 7:00 am the following day saying her toilet was still clogged and she had 4"" of brown water in her tub!! This never happened before after snaking the valve. I immediately contacted Lewis and said, ""I don't think your guy showed up....the problem remains and the Invoice wasn't left on my front porch..This never happened before."" The young apprentice who they sent out called to tell me he HAD been there. He made a second appointment to come by and I took off work to meet him. At that time he realized the sign I posted on the catch valve attached to my house was the one he needed to snake, and not the valve he snaked in the neighbor's front yard 4' away from my sign. He said he ""was confused"".
While he was snaking the catch valve on my house I called Lewis Plumbing explaining what happened and said I would pay for the snaking he was currently doing not for my neighbor's valve. Later I saw he left a trail of raw sewage where he snaked my catch valve.
When he was finished I asked what I owed and I paid in full. A few days later I received an Invoice charging $185.00 for snake with an additional ""Drain Charge"" I've never before seen. The address was my address, not the neighbor's. (The fee I'd previously been charged by the guy who came out was $130.00.) I called Lewis to share my confusion, exasperation and refusal to pay this bill. Not hearing back from them I called on the weekend to see if I could reach them in person and discuss this bill. A clerical person answered who I explained my frustration to and shared my exasperation with. The following Monday, instead of an apology for the multiple errors, unnecessary inconveniences and oversights by LEWIS, the woman accused me of upsetting the weekend girl and ""harassing"" them!!! Are you kidding me?
My advice after this experience is to STEER CLEAR OF LEWIS PLUMBING. When they make serious mistakes, they don't flatly accept responsibility. I'd give them a ""D"" for professional acumen, and advise if anyone hires them to closely supervise.

Answered my call right away, and it's Saturday! What plumbing company is capable of sending someone out over the weekend... And right away... Love it. Been doing business with Lewis Plumbing for many years. They are a great group of people. Highly recommend.

Called them after finding water on the floor. Old water heater was 20 years old. From the time I called, until the time the new heater was installed and hot water flowed, was less than 3 hours! Great job!

This place has been a true nightmare. My water heater went out last Friday and I called Lewis Plumbing because they had installed it and their number was listed on the heater. I spoke with Erick, who asked for the model number and when I gave it to him, he said that without even looking at it he knew the water heater needed to be replaced because this model was defective, but not to worry, the water heater is covered by warrantee. He said it would take until Tuesday to get the replacement. So I call on Tuesday and they seem to have no idea what I'm talking about but said they would send someone out to check on it. The guy they sent out, Matthew, relit the pilot light and said it was fine, and it did seem to be working--until the next day. No hot water again, so I called back. I spoke to Erick again, who was very apologetic and upset that he had told them the heater was defective and needed to be replaced and all they did was relight it. So he said he would get someone to call me the next day (today). I just received that call. The man I spoke with today said that the water heater probably did not need to be replaced and was not under warrantee anyway. I asked to speak to a supervisor because I had been receiving different information from people and had no hot water for nearly a week now. The man on the phone became defensive and said that he was the owner and there was no one above him that I could speak to, and as a matter of fact, it seemed like THEY were having a bad experience with ME, and that I should find a new plumber. I was actually totally polite through this whole thing--I just want my water heater fixed.
I wish I had gone with my gut from the very beginning and called my usual plumber rather than the number I found on the sticker on the water heater. I cannot remember having had such terrible customer service from any business. If I could give them 0 stars, that would still be too many.

Lewis plumbing : horribly disappointing service and very expensive. Did not do thorough cleanout. Basically a rip off. An entitlement company.
No star. Do not use Lewis. You will lose your money but not your plumbing problem. Go somewhere else.

Louis plumbing came exactly 35 minutes when I make the call that's a good service and good quality and good manners

Great service today from Joe & Lewis Plumbing. Main sewer line exiting the house was blocked, with backup into a shower and tub. Unable to use the other bathroom, kitchen, or washer. Joe arrived in 1 1/2 hours. He was very courteous, professional, and thorough, and he cleared up the problem quickly (tree roots.) He also offered to crawl under the house to inspect for any obvious root entry points. I didn't think it was necessary, but he did so anyway. Very happy with Joe & Lewis Plumbing, and would definitely call them again next time.

Lewis plumbing billed me over $14,000 to fix a leaky pipe. Based on my what I saw and my understanding of what they told to me, Lewis' billing didn't reflect the actual time spent and their work was not timely nor were their efforts anything like what I had expected. When I initially raised those issues with Lewis by email, in what I interpreted as an act of intimidation, Lewis answered by filing a lien against my home.
When we finally did meet, Lewis' President was, in my view, aggressive and unresponsive. Nonetheless, feeling backed into a corner, I made what I felt was an overly generous offer to resolve the issue even though I believed that Lewis had improperly overstated their hours and had a poor work ethic. Prior to even discussing the offer with me further, in what I perceived to be another attempt at bullying, Lewis caused legal documents to be served on our house manager, and also on her unrelated employer, even though the employer was not even involved. Serving her employer has caused untold anxiety for our house manager, ultimately resulting in the termination of the relationship between her and her company. Not only am I unhappy with Lewis' work, but I don't believe that this is how reasonable people act, even in the face of honest disagreement. As a result of Lewis' behavior, I felt it necessary to try to engage my own lawyer, which could ultimately cost me even more money.
Bottom line with Lewis: without even commenting further on their work, I believe that if you want to run the risk of incurring legal fees and the possibility of being dragged into litigation then Lewis is certainly the plumber for you!

Another efficient and professional job! As always, cleaned up and was polite and kept me informed all the way.
